Well, I understand that you have to create a certain continuity and stick with it. Bringing Andy back as a Whitelighter might be a nice fantasy, but it doesn't exactly fit with what you guys are doing. I know what you mean about Virtual Series. You don't have to worry about whether the actor or actress are actually available... and you don't have to worry about paying them! Or arguments between cast members and the like. You have the freedom to write for the sake of the characters and for the sake of the story itself! Which I feel that you all are doing a marvelous job of doing.

Oh my God if I produced, directed or anything on a real set and the actors all fought I would've DIED!! What I really love about VS's is making up your own interviews...aside from being an author I really want to write fake interviews..

Oh my God if I produced, directed or anything on a real set and the actors all fought I would've DIED!! lol That's why my dream job is to simply write the episodes and then kick back and watch the action. (And get praised for my spectacular attention to detail and continuity, of course. ) But in all seriousness, I don't know how they do it. It would drive me insane. (I had a friend in my T.V. Production class who's dream was to be a director, and those people are such perfectionists. Not to mention, they need to be able to take a lot of crap from cranky actors/actresses. Crazy.) Wow. This thread is suddenly getting so much attention. We've actually put on about a page of new posts. I love it! (Ha, now that I've said that, nobody will post until tomorrow morning. )

I'd be tempted not to post until tomorrow morning just because you said that... lol... but I'm here, so I'll post again just to make you feel loved! I did some theatrical directing in college, that alone gave me a headache. I don't know how the professionals do it some times, but I suppose that would be the reason they are professionals and I'm not.

Ah, I'll stick with my writing, painting, and illustrating. I'll just daydream about being a producer. Maybe in another lifetime.

After I clicked "Post Reply," the very thought of someone actually doing that crossed my mind. (I know the same thought would've crossed my mind had I read that.) I did some theatrical directing in college, that alone gave me a headache. Oh Goddess. And I thought having to film a scene from Macbeth with four other people was hard.

It was challenging. I had to reserve the theatre for our rehearsals, scheduling around other people who also needed it for one event or another. I had to draw up the rehearsal schedules and deal with people's conflicts once the show was cast... and point out what lighting to have where... make sure the set designer did her job... had to recast someone at the last minute because of some sorority nonsense that conflicted with our opening night... my word, it just went on and on! It was challenging, but being a Director and having to be in charge of every little detail, I realized -- was not for me.
Alas, we're getting off topic here.

L.A. was interesting. I've only been once and that was two years ago to visit a friend of my husband's. I'd like to go back, but we have several other trips planned before we'll be heading out in the California direction again. Had lunch at a table right next to Giovanni Ribisi. That was my one little star sighting while I was there.

He was in "Boiler Room" with Vin Diesel and a couple of other movies. Sorry, I tend to forget that not everyone is a walking movie-trivia encyclopedia like myself. Don't feel out of the loop, he's not exactly a huge name.
