Hey, guys! Long time no write! Drama PMed me to let me know that you guys had done a certain episode in S6 that she thought I’d enjoy. But when I started to read it, I found I needed to catch up a bit. In order to get caught up a bit, I decided to start back a ways in Season Five and the title “Don't Sit Under the Family Tree" caught my attention and ended up reading forward from there. My reviews for those are in the S5 thread. WARNING! I always have been and always will be brutally honest. If I like something you'll know it; if I *don't* like something you'll also know it. So if you only want to read complimentary reviews, you may not want to read mine! A Middle Sister’s Night Dream: Just had to let you know that I finished this episode and had to let you know what a fantastic job you guys did with it. I was disappointed that you got rid of The Queen; I truly thought you were going to fix one Charmed's wrongs by having a Big Bad who remained the Big Bad throughout, but I still definitely liked the whole way that it was done, especially the final act with all of the scenes showing everyone's reaction towards what has happened. Very, *very* nicely done! My hat's off to all of you for a job well done! Change the Channel: Very, very well done! An absolutely great way of bringing out who Tricia (and Topher--oh, brother!) actually are. And I always love when you include innocents...beautifully done. And the bowling battle between Glenn and Prue made me giggle!
But I especially love the use of the Order, since their connection to Wyatt always fascinated me, and I was disappointed that the show didn’t use them more or better. I always felt like THEY should’ve been the true Big Bad of S6, not Wyatt, not Gideon, not even Barbas. I was always certain that that was how Wyatt turned evil…when the Order finally convinced him to join them and be their leader…the reason why Chris came back to the time of S6. By vanquishing the Order, you prevent Wyatt from turning evil. That would’ve worked out SOOOO much better than Gideon! Shock it to Me: Have to admit that I don't like this one as much as I do the others. What are the Future Twins doing saving people who wouldn't have been saved if they weren't there? They say that they don't want to screw up with people's destinies but that's what they're doing. It was one of the things I hated most about Original Universe Chris and I hate it here just as much.
Besides, just like Original Universe S6, it's no longer Charmed...it's the Chris and Melinda Show. Yuck! Despite the fact that you're doing a good job with their characters—much better than Original Series did with Chris—these kids aren’t brats!--the way you have their powers, they're both SuperWitches (despite Chris being whitelighter)--power-wise they're more powerful than the Charmed Ones, and that will always irritate me more than anything else!!
Probably because I hated Phoebe falling for Jason Dean so soon after Cole died, I don't like him here in the same situation. If they're gonna fall for each other, PLEASE make it last the entire season before they actually do, especially because unlike Original Season 5 Phoebe, your Phoebe truly loved Cole and vice versa and he died to save her. She should be similar to Prue after Andy...fun relationships (Jack), but no serious ones for at least a year.
I did like that he was an innocent and I liked a number of other mentions of other innocents; such things always make me smile. But if being an innocent is just a way to get Phoebe a new boyfriend, I won't be happy—that’s too much what the show did with all of Phoebe’s slampieces that turned her into Freebie! PLEASE don’t turn my Phoebs into Freebie, not after you’ve brought her back!
I did like the bit with Paige and Prue and the baby-shopping and the whole idea of the baby's powers being totally different than Prue's....
And the bit with Piper. Very nicely done.
Now if a couple of adult twins would just tell their parents what they know (or write it in the Book) and then get their a$$es back to the future where they belong and let the Charmed Ones figure it out, as I always thought the star of Original Season Six should’ve done during Oh, My Goddess!—he should’ve never been around for Season Six!--I'll be very happy! Like Llamas to the Slaughter, the episode Drama originally wanted me to read. As I said, this is the episode that Drama originally wanted me to read, since Abby is based on our friend, Scififantasychic’s Tess in her fantastic novel “The Witch and The Assassin”. This one I enjoyed thoroughly. I could’ve done without the extra bits and just let it concentrate on the Phoenixes and Chris and Melinda, but that part is easily the best that I’ve read in C:RR. I have a hunch Scifi would totally enjoy this episode and I could give it no better review than that. Oh, in case you’re wondering, oh, yes, I definitely plan on continuing to read when time permits. OOPS! I almost forgot! I now have a wireless internet connection rather than dialup, so I was able to watch the credits. Absolutely WONDERFUL job! I loved how you were able to have both Prue and Paige in the same scenes! I didn't particularly like the ones for the earlier seasons, but I ADORE the ones for this one, probably why I'm using that as my skin.

the way you have their powers, they're both SuperWitches (despite Chris being whitelighter)--power-wise they're more powerful than the Charmed Ones, and that will always irritate me more than anything else!! More powerful than the Charmed Ones? Sorry, Es, I have to disagree with that. Chris and Melinda have had their powers their entire lives. It only makes sense that they would grow, especially since they are Twice Blessed. Remember how Piper's freezing power or Prue's TK grew astronomically in just ten years in "Morality Bites"? Well, Mel and Chris have had their powers for twenty-four years and have been working with them their entire lives (unlike the sisters). I think their skill and quantity of abilities fits when you look at it from that perspective.

Yes, you're right. And it's the fact that Wyatt was Twice-Blessed, an idea you've hung onto, that I truly don't like. That's an idea that should've never been part of Charmed mythology and was one of the worst wrongs of the show and that should've been righted here. The twins' shield together and their telepathy, that makes sense with their being twins. Even the idea of one pure whitelighter and one pure witch, I love. Those are GREAT ideas!
It's the the whole Twice-Blessed crap that makes the twins (not the Twins--I roll my eyes each time I see that capitalized. Using TWINS the way you use PRUE or PIPER or CHARMED ONES is one thing--that's the proper way to write a script--the Twins is another...) more powerful than the Charmed Ones. And that, like the whole idea of Billie, is one of the worst problems of the show and something that should've been righted here.
I truly don't think Connie Burge would've endorsed the idea of Twice-Blessed--her Melinda Warren's prophecy said that her Charmed Ones would be the most powerful good witches ever, so she wouldn't have anyone else or the combination of any others, be MORE powerful. You've done SUCH a great job bringing her version of Charmed back; I just wish you'd fixed that horrible wrong, too.
But of course that's just my opinion. Obviously you can't change it now, nor do you want to and I accept that, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

But we never stated nor showed them to be more powerful than the Charmed Ones. In fact, I believe it was our last ep that has them talking about how they have TCO here on their side. Meaning, they aren't powerful enough.

I just want to thank you for all the work and time you put in to them reviews, it must of taken some reading. The reviews were fantastic as they usually are from you, I love how you can be critical but love it at the same time while also disliking some other things. No one can like everything, even us...so thank you for the reviews. We very much apprieciate it when people take the time as you have to write detailed reviews.

Thank you, both of you. Although the real thanks should go to all of you for keeping this going every week for this long! To put out an episode every week isn't easy, and despite the fact that I'm not always happy with the results (Paige, Prue--although I like her better pregnant than before she was--the Twice-Blessed Twins...) it doesn't mean that I don't think that you're doing this a HELLUVA lot better than Kern did, and don't appreciate the effort! That said, here's my review for Muse It or Lose It So far, this is my least-favorite episode of this season, which was disappointing after enjoying Like Llamas to the Slaughter so much--that was my favorite episode of this season so far.
Up to this point, I've thoroughly enjoyed your rewrites of Original Universe eppis, but this is an exception. Although I liked it in the Original Universe when the sisters were turned into something evil, I didn't like it in the Original Universe when the sisters were turned into something good--I always felt like it was done so that they could dress in costumes for the publicity shots--as the Charmed Ones, they should be able to do their jobs WITHOUT having to do that and thus, I didn't like Paige being turned into a muse (note: I wouldn't have liked *any* of them turned; this doesn't have to do with my dislike of your Paige--although it's funny that for the first time she actually reminded me of the Paige on the show at the time when I hated Paige the most--Paige the Nymph); I felt like there should've been a different way of handling it. I also didn't like the whole "trapped in the ring" routine; it reminded me too much of my friend Jediya's "Gemstones!" fic and she did it SOOO much better!
I liked the inclusion of Drake with his song and I loved the fact that you used the idea of what happened with Masselin to release the muses...why reinvent the wheel??...but that was about it for the main plot.
On the other hand, I totally ADORED the sub-plot, the part with Calliope the restaurant; that was fantastically beautifully done. I hope this is leading to Piper becoming the owner of Calliope, the restaurant she always wanted, even if it ends up meaning that she ends up selling P3--Piper was always meant to run a restaurant, not a nightclub, which was only done so the bands could be guest stars.
And the part with Prue and Andy--it was SOOO nice getting to see Andy's spirit a part of this; I hope this means that Prue's finally accepted his death, so she'll get to talk to his sprit more often, the way that the sisters should've been able to talk with Prue's and the way Grams talked with Patty's.
I just hope you don't make him a corporeal ghost too often, another one of Kern's wrongs that should've been righted, since it takes away the finality of death (ditto for dead men being able to sire children, but that one obviously isn't going to be fixed here and it's one that Connie herself started when she had Piper and Leo have Melinda in Morality Bites). No ghost should be allowed to be corporeal except for a very, VERY special occasion, like a wedding or a Wiccaning or something like that.
Although I can imagine how Andy must've felt to see Prue pregnant, especially pregnant by "just a guy". I wonder if he wonders if she still loves him, Andy. I would've.
And then there's your siggy, Daniel, which if you had before, I didn't notice. The idea of Prue maybe losing her baby, the way Piper lost Wyatt, makes me shudder!

Here's my reviews for the most recent two episodes. 6x12: The beginning was definitely interesting. Poor Paige running from the “dorky” guy, I could just see her doing that, rather than confronting the situation. The bit with the computer screen was very interesting though, and I wonder what exactly is going on.
I’ve got to say that I love how you keep mentioning the “best baby sister” mug, I love that its such a small thing but means a lot and is great continuity.
You know, I had no idea who Mitch was at first, but when you mentioned Micah, now I get it. Great, I loved him and thought he was well suited for Prue (from that little bit that we saw in that one episode) and it annoyed me that they never kept him in any longer. That fact that you’ve come up with a very good reason as to why he was missing for three years is great and that Prue knew about it. I love that.
Oooo, the small print is a very good point, I can’t tell you the last time I actually read the terms and agreements of something I was joining! Great way to add a demon in the story, very unique, I love it!
Trust Drake to go in half-cocked, bless him, always the one for the action. And taking Paige with him. I couldn’t help but feel a little sorry for her. At least Prue and Phoebe knew she was working with Paige, so will have an idea of what happened when they can’t contact her. I wonder what’s going to happen wherever they are, and where exactly they are…
The vanquishing spell was different. It takes two witches, never been done before, either its one or it’s the Power of Three. I’ve got to say that I liked the originality to this episode a lot.
I love how you connected the original episode in season 6 with the souls to this one, it was really well done and made perfect sense for the times that we live in.
I do have to say though that I love how you had Prue and Chris working together so well in the Underworld. Its almost like they’ve worked together plenty of times before, like they’re used to it. And also that in the end they used the original Power of Three spell to get rid of all the random demons, I love it when everything goes back to the roots.
As for the rat demons’ vanquish, its so good to see Piper get back into a vanquish with her sister. I mean, I love that in C:RR she’s gotten the partial normal life that she’s wanted from day one, but sometimes its good to remember that she is a witch still and she was a Charmed One.
The chemistry between Paige and Drake is wonderful and I can’t help wonder whether in C:RR they are going to get together. I guess only time will tell but I can’t wait to find out either way.
6x13: This wasn’t one of my favourite episodes, I’ve got to be honest. I kept losing track of the episode rather than reading it all the way through like a usually do, which I was a bit disappointed about since the title Crime Seen Investigation is a pun on one of my favourite shows.
I am glad that they could help the spirit move on and that there was a mention from an earlier episode, at least past things aren’t forgotten about.
Connecting Paige and a random witch was interesting too, also to have a family of witches at the beach. Its not often that other witches were ever mentioned so I liked that.
I’m certain that the mentioning of the blue moon at the end of the month is going to come up in a couple of episodes time. And I reckon that it has something to do with Prue’s baby, it would make sense for Sparky to be born on a special day, just like the twins. And as my speculation was from the start, I think Sparky has something to do with why the future was so messed up, since technically Sparky should never have been possible. It’s going to be interesting to find out.
I’ve got to say though, the ending to it was definitely not expected. I didn’t think you would bring Nathaniel Pratt back into it, but I’m glad you did. I didn’t think he would just disappear, and hated that he did, so to bring him back with a trial that is all because of magic is going to be interesting for Phoebe to explain. I’m interested in how you’re going to do that.

Just read Misery Loves 21st Company and here's my review. It's a quicky, because it's very late, but... Congratulations, guys! There's no way I thought you could beat some of your earlier episodes, especially not during Season Six when I truly don't like the idea of the Twice-Blessed Twins coming back and not telling their parents what's up and then getting their a$$es back to the future where they belong, but you did it. This is truly my all-time favorite episode! It had a bit of everything in it. Innocents, continuity, A DEMON OF.... (WHAT A CONCEPT!), flashback to earlier eppis, Darryl, a different version of orbing, just everything. I truly, truly loved it!

I am very excited than you guys and gals brought Nathaniel Pratt back into the show. I wonder if he will be a lot like the alternate future Nathaniel Pratt of Morality Bites.

6x14 Review I love that you've brought Nathanial Pratt back into it and I'm looking forward to seeing the trouble that he will cause. The start to the episode where Phoebe was having the nightmare was so realistic, the trip to the future would definitely be playing on her mind.
I also love that you've brought Henry back for the episode, it was great to read Paige and Henry meeting up again. And also, linking to Paige...the Darklighter that you brought in, it was nice to see the continuity that there are different levels of Darklighters. It was a shame they were forgotten about in Charmed, so I'm glad you brought one back in.
ANd Ava too, the mentioning of her inheriting the Evil Eye and her doing the ritual was great. I'm so glad that you keep bringing her back, I loved the idea to her character and would have loved to have seen more of her in Charmed, so I'm glad that I get to read it here. 6x15 Review It was an interesting episode, very imaginative with the Sand Demon and his vanquish. I'm glad that it wasn't so easy, always nice to see them have to think about things.
Great to see Lillith back again, I was wondering about her, and just in time for Halloween too. Hmm, I wonder what she has planned for the baby and Phoebe, they seem to be her main concern right now.
I am really looking forward to see how the season will turn out and what Lillith really is planning and what her motives are. Really enjoying it so far. 6x16: Yay! Prue's baby is born. I should have known it would be Andrea Penelope Halliwell, especially when Prue gave the clue that it was two people who meant a lot to her. That made me smile that she could name her baby after Andy. Let's just hope that he can be there for the wiccaning.
I loved the way Chris and Melinda were given the third degree from Paige and then pretty much form Piper too. I don't quite understand why they kept it a secret, it messed so much up in the original show by him keeping secrets, I just don't see why it had to be kept a secret in this one. If they'd have said "Prue can't have the baby at the Manor because....and this is when she'll be born" it would have saved a lot of hassle. But hey, its all done with now, just how long for? Lillith is obviously going to be back and what else was she going to say to Prue before Prue had a contraction.
There's still so much, but I love it.

6x16Miracle on Prescott Street Review OMG!!!!!!! I loved this past episode lol im gonna use a spoiler tag for all of it. This episode was to good lol you guys out did your selves. I love that you named the baby Andrea after Andy and i agree with Piper in some way she is his. I know we see Matt at the end of the eppy but i hope he doesn't come back and ruin Prue lol im a Pandy fan all they way lol that's why its in my fanfic on my site. But anyways i loved that we see grams and patty in flashback and i loved how grams snapped out of the woogys possession when ever Patty got hurt and i may have missed it when i was reading but did they put the fire out after patty dropped the candle? But also i thought only one witch had to say the woogy not the power of three lol no matter the episode was awesome. But i wish Andy could come back to life lol. Also i love the whole Paige/Drake love connection going on lol and im a bit confused i know lillith got there when Prue was about to deliver but did she get to the baby long enough to make her evil like Melinda and Chris said? And i cant wait to see who Mel and Chris were looking for in the cemetery i hope we find out next eppy. But GREAT JOB everyone. Oh and lol im first to reply on 6x16 lol haha

and i may have missed it when i was reading but did they put the fire out after patty dropped the candle? lol Them putting out the fire wasn't shown, but there was a lapse of time between Patty saying The Woogy spell and the next scene where she was in labor on the dining room table, so I'm sure it can be safely assumed that they put out the fire in between those two scenes. But also i thought only one witch had to say the woogy not the power of three lol no matter the episode was awesome. But The Woogy spell didn't vanquish The Woogy, it only banished him back into the floor in the basement. That's what happened in Phoebe's vision of Penny in "Is There A Woogy In The House?" and when Phoebe said the spell because she was the only one who could remember it. Then in "Witch Trial" only Piper and Phoebe said the spell and banished The Woogy. And in C:RR's 6x16, we had the same thing happen when Patty said the spell (she meant for it to vanquish The Woogy though). Basically, none of them saying the spell was strong enough to vanquish him, just banish/trap him. But when the Power of Three said the spell, it actually vanquished him, instead of just locking him away. (So, say, if there was another earthquake, he couldn't escape because he's actually dead now instead of just trapped under the floor.) lol Thank you! ;D

I haven't had time to "watch" any more eppis, but when I saw the title of this one, I had to "watch". Very, VERY good job--I loved the similarities between Patty and Phoebe, and Prue and Drea (love the name and the nickname, by the way! Used it myself for Prue's daughter in one of my fics...)
But something bothered me, so I watched "Is There a Woogy in the House" on DVD. You have everything pretty much correct except for a couple minor things. First, of course, the Shadow's proper name is The Shadow, not the Woogy--The Woogyman is just what Young Phoebe called it. At least you didn't call it the Nexus like He Who Shall Not Be Named did, and you're saying that the Shadow is trying to control the house which sits on top of the Nexus.
The bigger one is this:
Wrong. The only reason why Phoebe said it is that she's the only one who remembered it, because Grams would read her the story. And Prue should definitely know that. That's the reason why they wrote the spell in the Book. No one possessed is going to read the Book, but the others can in order to get rid of it.
BUT except for that, an absolutely fantastically wonderful job! I love the fact that the Power of Three was able to vanquish the Shadow rather than just banish it, even if it didn't vanquish the Nexus (stupid Kern!)
By the way, I was SO glad that Melinda and Chris told them about Drea being evil in the future rather than all of our least favorite words: I can't tell you...Future Consequences...
*shakes head* I remember coming up with the idea of Drea, daughter of Prue--even the nickname Drea so no one would know who she was when she came back--guess that's changed-- way back when I was helping you guys hash this stuff out way, way back when C:RR was truly a brand-new alternate reality series (you REALLY have to change that beginning, because it isn't any more...), and now here she is! Just like the way we hashed out Piper being the one to lose her powers because she's the one who wants a normal life, and Chris and Melinda being born rather than Wyatt (This series is SOOO great being Wyatt-less!) Those have all happened, but yet they're different than how we planned way back then- they're all better--you guys have done such a fantastic job taking those rough ideas we came up with way back when and coming up with fantastic storylines. Now I'm dying to find out if Drea will be the same Drea we created or different and if so how and why.
At any rate, welcome, Drea! I hope you take after your mom and your dad!
Now I'm DYING to know who Melinda and Chris are looking for....
PS. Watching "Is There a Woogy in the House" gave me another shock. Jeff, the one with a crush on Piper, was playing by Shawn Christian. That name sounded SOOO familiar, but I couldn't place it. You can imagine how shocked I was at the end when there was the same name playing Matt!
