So for some dumb reason, CBS decided to shock fans and tell us that they're rebooting Charmed.... W--what??! WHAT?! REBOOT CHARMED?! NO! NO NO NO NO NO!!!! It's huge news folks, and maybe just maybe, our favorite ladies(Shannen included) can persuade them all to do a CHARMED MOVIE instead! The girls even admitted that there was enough questions left unanswered(Like where did Cole ACTUALLY go at the end of season 7s first Arch? Or was it the second...idk[The comics DON'T count!]) I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a Charmed MOVIE! Shannen and Alyssa both want a Charmed movie and won't mind being in the same room with each other anymore! I really hope they can produce a movie instead of a dumb dumb dumb reboot... Now I know nobody will read this or reply to this, but I just wanted to jump on here and share my thoughts on this disaster CBS Productions dropped on us.

Even Rose, Alyssa and rest of the crew says it's way too early with a reboot, and they want to do a movie first.

Actually Astral Echo has come up with an idea of how to reboot Charmed so that it would be different from our Charmed but still Charmed, and done as four sisters (no half-sister; well, at least not at the beginning...) that sounds absolutely fantastic!
I wouldn't want a movie - then we're stuck with all of the same errors that C:RR has done so well to correct. And a spin-off with Wes and Drew is impossible, because Drew wants nothing to do with Charmed, and I think their fans would want to see others playing the boys even less than seeing others playing Prue, Piper, Phoebe and Paige.
The originals are too old to be in a reboot, even doing Season Nine, and Rose would never agree to it - *IF* they were going to do a movie, it would probably have to be five years in the future (hopefully no more than that so the kids are still young - and that's a huge problem - nine kids works fine in a virtual series but is much too expensive for a true movie.)
So truly rebooting it with others playing sisters who are witches, but with different names, is truly the best way to go.
I hope Astral Echo posts his ideas here soon - I really think you guys who have enjoyed C:RR would like that.
Although what I'm *really* hoping is that all of this talk of rebooting will help bring the people in charge of C:RR back together and FINALLY give us Season Seven!

Even Rose, Alyssa and rest of the crew says it's way too early with a reboot, and they want to do a movie first. It's too early for a reboot if the new actresses played the Halliwells. But if it was new actresses playing four Warrens who are sisters who happen to be witches, then it's actually just the right time. The movie would bring back all the problems that bugged fans so much. Truly, trying to fix them all in one movie wouldn't make for much of a movie. And trying to get NINE kids in one movie?? Um...no. Kern slammed the door on anything like that when he gave each sister three kids.

I hope the reboot comes in about 15-20 years if it's a Halliwell sisters reboot. But time will tell..

Funny reading these, since the actual reboot has been on the air for a few years now.
Of course, they went with a new reality, with new characters played by new actors.
Aside from an Easter Egg or two, there is no connection to the original series. And that's a good thing, IMO. The reboot needs to stand on its own.

I havent been able to watch it. I came like all to the last to episodes of season 1, and I stopped. If it wasnt for that it was called Charmed, I might have been able to watch all the way to season 3 now, but.. it bugs the hell out of me that its called Charmed.

There are some interesting ideas in there. Sadly the execution is less than ideal.

IMO, yes. The last two episodes have been pretty good, and I'm having hope for S3 (the next scheduled episode originally was meant to end S2, before COVID shut them down).
Maybe the writers took the extra down time to fine tune the scripts.
