Wow...I sure do love this show. It's one of my all time favroties. Next to Charmed of Course. I also love Supernatural too. Myt favorite character would have to be Chloe. And of course Lana Lang. But this new season I am not liking her character as much anymore. I really don't see Lex and her as a couple. Especially now that he proposed to her and now that she is pregnant with his child. I always thought that her and Clark would be together. Oh well. Anyone else watch Smallville?

Lana's pregnant with Lex's baby?! *gawk* I haven't seen Smallville in a really LONG time. But I never imagined them as a couple, let alone having a baby! Back when I watched it, I was a Clark/Lana shipper. (And the episodes I did see with Lois, I never liked her. I don't know if it was my love for Lana, or if it was just the actress, who doesn't strike me as the Lois Lane type. *shrug*)

I know. I couldn't believe it either. I had missed about two or three episodes this year and when I watched last week's episode Lana told Lex she was pregnant with his baby then he proposed to her.

I also watch Smallville, I'm not a fan of Lana though. Between her "secrets and lies" double standard, and the whole stupid Lanaville witch arc just really turned me off to the character... I'm actually liking her more that she has grown a backbone and that they aren't putting her as the forefront of every episode and every other characters motivation (The secrets and lies thing still annoys though)
Lois on the other hand...I'm near Billie levels of HAAAATE. I mean with Ollie she hasn't been too bad, but it's all the other crap that they just keep doing to decimate the character of Lois Lane by making her a stupid, slutty, bitchy, person with very little standards (most of the time)

I have to agree about Lois. I don't like her that much either. But I do love Chloe.

Wow just wow. Can someone please tell me why Smallville had to take it upon itself to try and make a political statement??? Ugh, I really hate when show like this try and do that! (And could they have at least TRIED to cast someone to play Javier who either looked latino/mexican, or could actually speak spanish, or could mimic some form of a spanish accent! That kid seemed about as American as Clark... Perfect english by watching TV...right.
Although one word describes those previews with the five of them walking together....SQUEEEEEEEEEEE! I really hope they don't blow the whole Justice League thing, because if they find a way to make that suck, then I am so done with this show...

I'd heard that they were eventually going to do The Justice League. Who all do they have in it so far? (Actually, I'm mainly just interested in whether or not they left out Wonder Woman. The few times that I saw the cartoons when I was little, I only watched it for WW. And then I ended up dressing up as "Wonder Girl" for Halloween around that same time.)
ETA: Oh, and if this is the stupidest question, keep in mind that (as I said before) I haven't kept up with Smallville for quite a while now. I just see an episode, or part of one, every now and again when I'm channel surfing.

Wonder Woman at this point looks highly unlikely. The Smallville J-League currently looks to be Clark, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Cyborg, & The Flash. (All the previous heroes we met that were identified. The exception being the made for Smallville "Dark Avenger".
slight SPOILER In a previous episode we also saw someone else who is in the future JLA/JLU, but that person was not identified as such, and wasn't in the Crimson - Justice promo, though they could still show up...

I loved Smallville, well, still do but not as much as I did before. I was pretty darn devastated when they killed Jonathan Kent. John Schneider played "Bo Duke" on the Dukes of Hazzard for you young'uns around here, and I used to have a crush on him.
I haven't cared really for what they've done with Lois's character. They've dumbed her down as much as the Charmed Sisters were dumbed down in the later seasons of the show. But I am intrigued by the banter and comments between her and Clark --- knowing they will eventually be together. Still, the way they have her portrayed makes me grind my teeth wondering how Clark could fall for her.
Lana... meh... she was okay, don't like her with Lex. I saw that one coming, but even seeing the forshadowing of that and knowing she was going to wind up one of Lex's many wives, doesn't mean I have to like it.
I'm still liking Chloe.... I don't think I'll ever get tired of her character... but where did Jimmy go?!
The guys they have playing Green Arrow and Aquaman are yummy. I don't think they completely killed the JLA thing. It was interesting. I'm just not as enthralled with the show as I used to be.

I don't think even the sisters were dumbed down as much as Lois is. I mean take "Crimson" for example, Lois who has been visiting Smallville for years, and has directly seen and learned about the horrible effects of them on humans. Lois is told point blank by a woman that a tube of lipstick is made from the fragments of red meteor rocks. And yet STILL she puts it on her lips.
Not to mention the travesty of Lois being inspired to get into journalism because of a barn door almost hitting her, having no problem working for a tabloid that takes liberties with the truth, and oh yeah STEALING what she thinks is her cousins story... HAAAATE!!!! They never should have introduced a muffin peddling college drop out and tried to say that was to become the Lois we know. If only they actually had the guts to do Chlois to fix this...

I actually thought that's what they intended originally -- that Chloe was to become Lois, since she used her cousin's name as her pen name at the start. But then Chloe found out Clark's secret and they introduced the real Lois and... Yes, not even the sisters were dumbed down to the point that the writers for Smallville have dumbed down Lois Lane. Though, her making a mixed CD of Whitesnake ballads for Clark gave me a good chuckle. She's certainly not the Lois Lane that I remember growing up. I'm finding it difficult to believe she's going to grow into the ace reporter/love of Clark's life with the way things are going.

Chloe is just Clark's Friend cant be more as Clark will always like her as his friend, Lois is really the one for Clark, I love her.. I used to love Lana, I still do but I dont think that she'll be with Clark.. Smallville is like my second favorite show after Charmed and I watch it all the time now that Charmed is over.. I'll agree with you for everything but the series, the Smallville Lois Lane is absolutely nothing like the Golden/Silver/Classic Lois Lane that I know and love in all other Superman media. There is very little about her that resembles the "real" Lois Lane.
And really like from DeKnights interviews I can understand that they wanted to show the character grow into Classic Lois...except it hasn't happened. They continue to just simply use her as the butt of jokes, put her in skimpy outfits, and get her into bad situations out of sheer stupidity. So far her reporting has been based entirely on luck (unless you count digging through her cousin's files)
Ah but she's a great investigator you say look at the finale? What the heck did she actually do to get that story? NOTHING. An old boyfriend from her days as an Army brat, did I mention she's the daughter of a General...because the show has, every freaking 5-10 minutes she's on the screen. (I don't know about you but I'm not a brain dead two year old, I have short and long-term memory and do not need to reminded that Lois grew up on army bases every single scene she appears in every episode!!!)
So anyways she just happens to know Wes, and suddenly, now she's onto the story about the Luthor Corruption, and she VOWS to take down Lex, and she's saying that she's never liked him or trusted him. Like when he caught her sister stealing a large amount of money and didn't turn her over to the police, hated his guts. Gradual character development...pffft
The only thing she actually figured out was that the number was coordinates, a moment which felt so jarringly out of nowhere from anything the character had done to that point.
Go back further still to the corrupt senator story, Lois through means that can only be contrvied knows immediately that the cigar case is a key piece of evidence which should not be allowed to fall into the hands of the proper authorities... And once Papa Luthor has told her all about the evil senator how did she pursue that story... How else but to confront him ALONE, in a DARK ALLEY. Yes the same Senator who she was told had Lana shot, and she accuses him of corruption with no-one but his own thugs around. Yeah that was real intelligent classic Nois...
You see I'm not seeing Lois's gradual journey from Army Brat to Ace Reporter. Instead I'm seeing the writers attempting to lightswitch the character into being classic Lois, and doing a lot of damage in the process...

Well you're right about that she's not the classic Lois that we know.. But it's the writers fault, they're putting all this effort for the CLANA story and Lex, you know the trio.. They're even showing Clarky as a dump guy everything he needs Chloe is the one who investigates it and gives him the info... I think season 7 should portrait the Lois we know and otherwise the writers should get a new job .. So did you like the finale?!
