I really just got the PRO-LIFE thing. And that's my biggest concern.
I was watching CNN&FOX with my mom earlier, and they said something about Palin. Like, although she believes that marriage is between man and women, I think she did allow same-sex couples in her state to have equal rights as married couples? It's a step. Kinda.
I really don't think I'm gonna vote this year. I don't know enough and no one really interests me.
But, no matter what, this year's elections will be a historic event. Either a BLACK male President or a white FEMALE Vice President. A step is being made in a positive direction.

So if it's equal, then why can't it be marriage? (And that's rhetorical, not directed at you, Jackie.) Yeah, I just can't get on board with that line of thinking. There is no reason that Same-Sex Marriage should not be allowed! Yes, people can "Ew!" it all they want, but that doesn't give them a right to outlaw it. The biggest thing is Christianity, but Christian morality has no place in laws regarding equal rights. Same sex couples deserve to be able to get married, call it marriage, and have ALL the rights that a female and male married couple have.

I totally agree with you, Camille. I really do. But at this point in time, people still are way too deluded with their personal beliefs to see it that way. I guess it's still "too soon" for people to understand that it's out there. People don't make this decision by choice. And that being gay does not make a difference.
They're afraid that what, marriage will break if same-sex couples marry? Hmm..50% of married couples in this country already divorce. I can't see how marriage could get worse.
Marriage is a TERM. A NAME. It's just stupid that they can't see that. Plus, what's it anyone else's business what people do in their personal lives?
So what if your next door neighbor is gay and living with their partner. Does it matter if they're married or not? No. Still isn't going to change anything.
*shakes head* Again, I completely agree with you, Camille. *sighs*

I am so glad Hilary dropped out of the campaign! I totally did NOT want to have another Clinton be Pres. of the United States! So now it's mainly down to Obama(whom I am supporting!!) and McCain. I seriously want Barak Obama to win!
Anyway lets get down to what Jackie and Camille were saying... WHY DO PEOPLE SERIOUSLY HATE HOMOSEXUALS?! I mean COME ON! So what if a woman loves another woman! So what if another man loves another man?! I mean WE'RE ALL PEOPLE! And MOST OF THE PEOPLE treat homosexuals like TRASH!! We're ALL EQUAL HERE! I PITY all the people who treats homosexuals like DIRT! I mean seriously can anyone give me ten reasons why homosexuality is a bad thing? I see NO PROBLEM AT ALL WITH IT! So whoever is a homophobic can CLEARLY stay out of my life! They make me so freaking mad it's unbearable.

WHY DO PEOPLE SERIOUSLY HATE HOMOSEXUALS?! Because some old book, written by men who didn't like people different from themselves, told them to and then they passed it onto their kids who passed it onto their kids who passed it onto their kids and so on and so forth until present day. Of course now people are becoming a tad more accepting because the church doesn't have as much power as it once had and people aren't as afraid to be who they are and/or accept and support those for who they are. It makes me sad and furious all at the same time how much the church made us regress. I came across this ancient Egyptian tomb built for two gay men online a few years ago and thought, "Wow, so not only was it okay it ancient Egypt, but it honored instead of being shoved under the rug. Why is it so different now?" And I despise when people say, "Oh, it's a choice!" Like you said, nobody chooses to be gay, straight, or bi, you just are what you are! Hell, even animals are gay. Did penguins choose be homosexual? No, they just are. Just like humans!

At lot more people are becoming a little more accepting of it because in some places churches are. There's a bishop in England that is gay. There was a huge uproar about it, which is stupid in my opinion, but I think he kept his position as Bishop.
I've gotten to the point of ignoring what religion says, especially Christianity, which is a little hypocritical of me because I go to Church when I stay at my parents house during uni holidays. The whole thing with the big old book contridicts itself anyway. I have a list of 101 contridictions somewhere on my computer, but I don't have the time to find it right now. Anyway, to what I was getting to, it says homosexuality is bad, witchcraft is bad, worshipping other Gods is bad, and a load of other things that are bad.
At one time witches were burnt at the stake, but now they're a little more accepted and it goes for everything in life I think. And I'm not really making much sense am I -- I apologise, I'm a little tired from a load of studying for two exams tomorrow.
This made me smile, my friend's dog is gay, at least we suspect he is. He's more interested in male dogs.
Anyway, sorry for a bit of a jumbled mess. I just had to write this while I remembered.
