Who Let The Bunyips Out? Teaser
[Scene: A warehouse is full of bustling people, mostly men, dressed head to toe in black. Thousands of large animal carriers fill the room, some on conveyer belts and some stacked atop each other, others scattered on the floor or being carried by someone. The warehouse is filled with the noise of machines, shoes, a plethora of voices, and screeching calls that sound like a mutated bleat of a goat. On one of the conveyer belts, one of the animal carriers is shaking furiously from side to side. Each time it shakes, a fuzzy blue force field appears around it. One of the men notices the shaking cage and taps the shoulder of another man.]MAN: Go check out that cage over there. (He points towards the shaking carrier.) Give it an infection if it doesn’t quiet down. (The second man doesn’t look up, he just grunts and nods his head, not even looking at the carrier.)MAN #2: Sure, boss. (The first man walks away. The second man lifts up a large box and starts walking away, muttering to himself.) Take care of it your own damn self. (Suddenly, the carrier tips to one side and falls off the conveyer belt, crashing to the dirty cement floor. The blue force field activates, but then there’s a small explosion as it fails, causing a puff of smoke to rise from the cage. The metal hatched door flies open, broken. A creature about the size of an ape emerges. Its body is white, and shaped like a kangaroo, with a small pouch on the front. Its head, however, is shaped like a goat with tiny brown horns, and it has the large floppy ears of a rabbit, as well as the nails and feet of a rabbit. The creature’s tail is long, rigid, and pink like a rat and two long, yellow tusks protruding from each side of its mouth. It looks around and lets out a bleat. One of the men, neither of the first two men, spots the creature and begins to yell. He rears his arm back and hurls a crackling energy ball at it. The creature jumps on its powerful little legs, landing on top of a tower of boxes. The energy ball smacks into the floor, leaving a black scorch mark.)DEMON: One of the bunyips has escaped! (The warehouse goes silent, except for the screeching bleats from the cages. Then, the men in black, all demons, stop what they’re doing and begin to attack the freed bunyip with energy balls. The BUNYIP, however, easily avoids all of their attacks by swiftly jumping over the energy balls with its power kangaroo-rabbit legs. It opens its mouth, revealing sharp yellow rabbit teeth, and howls a goat-like screech. Then it bounds over to one of the doors on the opposite side of the warehouse, which is opening, and jumps out of door crack as two more demons carry in more cages. The disruption causes the two demons to drop the cages.)DEMON #2: What the hell?! (The two demons turn around to see the bunyip jumping across the parking lot. They begin to run after it, hurling energy balls as they go. Unfortunately, the BUNYIP bounds into the street, causing cars to swerve and one to crash, and disappears across the street, somewhere into San Francsico.)[Scene: Pier 39. Hard Rock Café. PAIGE MATTHEWS and PHOEBE HALLIWELL are sitting at an outside table, shaded from the sun by the table’s striped umbrella. PAIGE reaches into her purse and pulls out a dark chocolate flavored Almond Joy. She peels the wrapper and takes a bite. PHOEBE stares with her mouth slightly open.]PHOEBE: That’s the third Almond Joy you’ve eaten in an hour! What’s gives? PAIGE: It’s National Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day. (She pulls another dark chocolate Almond Joy from her purse and hands it out to PHOEBE.) Want one? (PHOEBE shrugs and takes the Almond Joy.)PHOEBE: What the hell. It’s only one more cavity. (She takes a bite of the candy bar.) So National Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day, huh? Where in the world do you come up with this stuff? PAIGE: Oh, I don’t. (She takes another bite.) I found this really cool Bizarre American Holidays website online. (She licks the chocolate off her lips.) Tomorrow’s Dunce Day. PHOEBE: I see. (As the waiter walks by, she raises her hand.) Excuse me, but can we get the- (A loud scream pierces the air, grabbing the attention of everyone on the sidewalk, who all turn their heads in the direction of the noise. A woman runs out from behind an alley, continuing to scream. Several people get up and start to walk over, and some try to comfort the woman. PHOEBE and PAIGE share a look. They get up and begin to follow the crowd towards the alley.)MAN: Someone call the police! (PHOEBE walks up to the man and tries to take a peek into the alley. She only gets a glimpse of a mauled, bloody body and then sees small animal-like footprints heading down the alley and then abruptly stopping at a chain link gate at the end of the alley. She pulls her cell phone out of her back pocket and pressed speed dial five. “Dialing Darryl” appears on the screen, and PHOEBE places the phone to her ear.)DARRLY's VOICE: Phoebe? PHOEBE: (into the phone) Darryl, I think you’re going to want to get down here right away. DARRYL's VOICE: (whispering) Is this one of your magical things? PHOEBE: (into the phone) I don’t know yet...but I don't have a good feeling about this. (She covers the phone with her hand and turns to PAIGE.) Call Piper, I think we might have a problem. {SCENE: The song "Predator," written by Gaby Hauke and sung by Accept, is heard as stock shots of San Francisco are shown while the Guest Credits are rolled.}Act One
[Scene: Manor. Attic. PHOEBE is flipping like mad through The Book of Shadows, and PIPER HALLIWELL is standing across the room skeptically.]PIPER A bunyip? (She puts her hands on her hips.) Phoebe, we vanquished the bunyip back in ninety-nine, remember? PHOEBE: It’s not like we haven’t had demons resurrect themselves, Piper. And besides, (she turns the page) bunyips aren’t just one demon. They’re a whole breed of magical creatures. PIPER: Who live in Australia! PHOEBE: And Africa and Asia, if my memory serves me right. PIPER: Exactly! Ours was a fluke, remember? It stowed away in the luggage of a witch who was vacationing in San Francisco, from Australia. (She taps her foot impatiently.) They don’t have teleportive powers, Phoebe. It’s not like they can just orb here. PHOEBE: So, what if it’s another fluke? We still have to find and vanquish this thing before it kills anymore people. (PIPER places her hand on The Book, stopping PHOEBE from turning the page.)PIPER: (firmly) Phoebe, you don’t even know if it’s a bunyip. You should talk to Darryl first, before you start worrying yourself over something that could be nothing. PHOEBE: I know what I saw, Piper. That body…the way it was mauled… (She shakes her head, turning away from her sister.) It looked just like the last person that got killed by a bunyip. (She turns around suddenly.) And there were bloody footprints too. Just like those little rabbit feet they have. Piper, I know it was a bunyip! (PIPER sighs.)PIPER: Fine. Go call Darryl and take a look at the crime scene. See if you can get a premonition or something. I’ll go talk to Prue and let her know. (PHOEBE smiles.)PHOEBE: Thanks. (She leaves. PIPER walks over to The Book and starts turning the pages, until she comes to one that reads, “Bunyips.” She runs her index finger down the page and comes to the vanquishing spell.)[Cut to the kitchen. PHOEBE walks in to find PAIGE closing her cell phone.]PHOEBE: Everything alright? PAIGE: I was supposed to go to a movie with Glenn after lunch with you, but because of your bunyippy thing, I had to cancel and he’s not very happy about it. PHOEBE: But demons- PAIGE: (interrupting) Come first. I know, I know. Which is why I had to cancel on him for the third time since he's been back, and today was my only day off all week. PHOEBE: I’m sorry. PAIGE: Yeah. (She sighs.) So what now? What did Piper say? PHOEBE: She said we should get ahold of Darryl, and go down to check out the crime scene. (PAIGE cringes.)PAIGE: Why do we need to do that? PHOEBE: Because I might be able to get a premonition. PAIGE: Why can’t you get one from here? PHOEBE: One, because I can’t control my premonitions like you guys can control your powers. (PAIGE snorts.)Paige: Yeah, like I can really control orbing. PHOEBE: It takes time, but you’ll eventually learn. (PAIGE rolls her eyes.) And anyway, my premonitions are activated by touching something related to the vision. Or sometimes just being in the same place works. Either way, I have to be there if I want to try and get anything. So, do you want to come with me or not? PAIGE: I dunno…what’s Piper doing? PHOEBE: She’s going to get ahold of Prue and fill her in. (PAIGE slings her purse over her shoulder and marches towards the doors.)PAIGE: I’ll meet you in the car! [Scene: 415 Magazine. PRUE HALLIWELL’s office. PRUE is hunched over her desk, shuffling through several photos of a glittering Chinatown, obviously taken at night. There’s a knock at her door. She looks up.]PRUE: Come in! (The door opens, revealing MATTHEW CAPIELLO. PRUE grins.) Well, come in, Mr. Anthony. (MATT laughs.)MATT: So, it’s Prue, huh? PRUE: How did you find me? MATT: This is the thirty-seven office I’ve been too, and let me just say that not everyone is that friendly around here. (He rolls his eyes.) You’re a very hard woman to find, Ms. Halliwell. PRUE: I can’t believe you just started going to random offices, just to find me! MATT: What can I say? I guess I’m just under your spell. (PRUE smirks at the irony of his words. She motions to the chair on the opposite side of her desk.)PRUE: Come take a seat. Maybe you can help me with something. MATT: Oh yeah? (He walks over and sits down. PRUE shoves the pictures towards him.) What do we have here? PRUE: I took pictures for an article on the history of Chinatown, and now I can’t decide which one should be printed. (MATT shuffles through the pictures, examining each one carefully.)MATT: You know, I’m kind of partial- (PRUE’s cell phone rings. She holds up her index finger as she stands up, grabbing her cell phone from her back pocket.)PRUE: I’m sorry, but please excuse me for a moment. (She moves to the corner of the room and flips open her ringing phone and places it to her ear.) Piper? (She listens for several seconds, and then her eyes widen.) A bunyip? (MATT looks over at her, noting PRUE’s surprised expression. As she turns away, he grabs a pen from her desk and scribbles the word “bunyip” onto his palm.)PRUE: (whispering into the phone) But we vanquished that two years ago! (pause) Fine! I’ll be there as soon as I can. (She hangs up and walks back over to the table, with a mixture of anger and irritation etched into her face.)MATT: Something wrong? PRUE: There’s a few things I have to take care of at home. MATT: Right now? PRUE: Yeah, I’m sorry. (She collects the pictures and places them into a fellow folder, which she closes and tucks under her arm.)MATT: Do you think you’ll be back today? (PRUE shakes her head.)PRUE: Probably not. (She slings her purse over her shoulder and starts heading for the door. MATT follows her outside the office and PRUE locks the door.) I guess I’ll see you tomorrow, then? (MATT nods. PRUE smiles and leaves. MATT looks down at the scribbled word on his hand.)MATT: Bunyips… (He heads off down the hall, in the opposite direction of PRUE.)[Scene: Pier 39. Alleyway. The alleyway is taped off with bright yellow police tape, and nobody seems to be around except two cars; one is a police car and one is a lime green VW Bug. PAIGE and PHOEBE get out of the VW Bug at the same time that DARRYL MORRIS gets out of the police car. PHOEBE immediately moves towards the crime scene and ducks under the yellow tape. PAIGE scrunches her nose in disgust as she ducks under as well.]DARRYL: (to PHOEBE) I thought you said you were bringing one of your sisters. (PHOEBE glances over her shoulder, confused.)PHOEBE: Yeah, (she waves her hand towards the youngest Charmed One) Paige. (DARRYL gives her a funny look.)DARRYL: Paige? (He stares, utterly lost. PHOEBE looks between them.)PHOEBE: (to PAIGE) Wait, we’ve known you for over a month now, and we’ve never introduced you to Darryl? ( PAIGE and DARRYL shake their heads. PHOEBE rubs her head.) Paige, this is Darryl Morris, a long time family friend. He’s an Inspector for the San Francisco Police Department. Darryl, (she laughs a little) this is Paige Matthews- (DARRYL’s eyes widen.)DARRYLl: Paige Matthews? (PHOEBE nods her head very slowly.)PHOEBE: Yes, Darryl, try to keep up. She’s our long lost half sister- DARRLY: Sister?! PHOEBE: Are you gonna keep jumping in every few words, or are you going to let me finish? (DARRYL grabs PHOEBE's arm. He looks back at PAIGE and holds up his index finger.)DARRYL: (to PAIGE) Excuse us for a moment. (He pulls her several feet away. PAIGE pulls a face and sneaks closer, trying to listen, not liking DARRYL's reaction and thinking that he's probably talking about her. DARRYL begins to talk in hushed tones.) If she’s your sister, then why did PRUE want me to run a background check on her? PHOEBE: Prue did what?! PAIGE: (angry) A background check? What the hell for?! (to PHOEBE) Is that even legal? (PHOEBE looks helplessly to DARRYL.) You know, I’ve taken a lot of crap from Prue over the last month, but this…this crosses the line! She had no right to run a background check on me! (PAIGE spins on her heel and starts marching towards the VW Bug. PHOEBE scurries after her.)PHOEBE: Oh no. Paige. Paige! Wait! (As she reaches out to grab her sister’s hand, she runs through one of the bloody bunyip footprints. She gasps and her eyes roll back in her head.)DARRYL: Phoebe! (As he moves to grab her, PAIGE also turns around, alarmed.)PAIGE: Oh my god! [Premonition: A woman in a waitress’ outfit is hauling a large trash bag down the alleyway. As she reaches the dumpster and pushes up the lid, she hears a scraping noise behind the dumpster. Curious, she lets the lid fall back down and moves around the dumpster.]WAITRESS: Hello? (The scraping noise stops, and then she hears a faint bleating noise. She squints her eyes, not sure of what’s there. She grabs the side of the dumpster and pushes with all her strength, moving it a few inches out from the wall. She spies a small, furry white creature. Smiling, she bends down.) Here kitty, kitty, kitty! (As she moves towards it, the small creature turns around; it’s no bigger than an adult’s fist. It’s also not a kitten, but a miniature bunyip. Her eyes widen as she starts to back up slowly. Then, she hears another bleat, this time behind her. Turning around, she sees the snarling mother bunyip several feet away. She screams, and then the mother bunyip pounces onto her chest and begins to tear at her flesh. Blood flies through the air, spattering the mucky walls. Several minutes later, the bunyip leaves the mauled body to collect her young, which she grabs by the neck and slips into her pouch, only to jump down the alleyway leaving bloody footprints, and then jump over the metal gate.)[Cut back to the present. PHOEBE’s eyes flutter open. Her face is pale and she looks like she’s about to be sick. DARRYL is holding PHOEBE’s head and neck up while PAIGE gently fans PHOEBE’s face.]PAIGE: Are you okay? (DARRYL helps PHOEBE sit up, and she places her hand to her forehead. She shakes her head.)PHOEBE: No. PAIGE: Did you have one of those visions? (PHOEBE nods. PAIGE looks at DARRYL.) Does she usually fall like this? (DARRYL shakes his head.)DARRYL: I’ve never seen her like this before. (He rubs her back.) What happened? PHOEBE: (weakly) I saw the attack. (She has tears in her eyes.) It was so brutal… BREAK

Act Two [Scene: Manor. PRUE walks through the door with a scowl on her face.]PRUE: Piper, I’m home! PIPER's VOICE: In the kitchen! (PRUE hangs her jacket on the coat hanger and walks into the kitchen. She sees The Book of Shadows lying open on the table, and PIPER standing over a bubbling pot at the stove.)PRUE: What’s going on? PIPER: I’m making the bunyip vanquishing potion. PRUE: I thought we weren’t sure if it was a bunyip yet. PIPER: It’s just a precaution. Phoebe really thinks it’s a bunyip, and if I’ve learned one thing over the last four years, it’s to trust our gut instincts. (She tosses a handful of potting soil into the pot.)PRUE: Since when does the bunyip potion call for potting soil? PIPER: It doesn’t, specifically. It just says, “One handful of earth.” I figure, what’s better than ultra enriched earth? (She moves to the fridge and pulls out an unopened bottle of Evian. As she twists the cap, PRUE rushes over and grabs it from her.)PRUE: Whoa! What are you doing with my Evian? (PIPER points towards the bubbling pot.)PIPER: Uhm, the potion requires all four physical elements, in case you’ve forgotten. PRUE: No, I haven’t. Nor have I forgotten that last time we used tap, and it worked just fine. (She shoves her water back into the refrigerator and PIPER rolls her eyes as she moves to the sink.) So where’s Phoebe? PIPER: She’s trying to get a premonition at the crime scene. (PIPER pours a cup of tap water in the pot, producing a cloud of white hot steam.) Why? PRUE: Because I just want to get this over and done with, so I can get back to work. (PIPER's brows shoot up.)PIPER: Why’re you in such a hurry to get back to work? (PRUE smiles a little as she grabs an apple from the fruit bowl.)PRUE: Remember that guy I told you about, from the Halloween party? PIPER: Yes. (She stirs the potion.)PRUE: He found me today. PIPER: But I thought you left without telling him your name? PRUE: I did. (She chews a bite of apple.) Turns out, he went all around the magazine looking for an office that had me in it. PIPER: He didn’t! (PRUE nods.) What did you do to him at that party? (She pours two vials full of potion.) You didn’t, (she uses her index finger to wiggle her nose) did you? PRUE: No! (PIPER shrugs.)PIPER: Just checkin’. (She fills another vial.) After all, it’s not like every guy goes gaga after only one date. PRUE: It wasn’t even a date, it was a meeting. (She bites into the apple again.)PIPER: My point exactly. (She fills up the last vial and then sets them in a row on the counter. PRUE’s face darkens a little.)PRUE: What’s with the fourth vial? PIPER: It’s for Paige. PRUE: Paige? (She stomps over to The Book of Shadows.) We don’t need Paige, Piper. This spell, if you haven’t forgotten, only takes the Power of Three. That means we only need Phoebe. (The sound of the front doors opening can be heard, followed by loud footsteps.)PAIGE's VOICE: Piper! PRUE: (muttering) Speak of the half breed. [Time lapse. PIPER walks into the living room, balancing a wooden tray with four cups of chamomile tea on it. She sets the tray down and grabs one of the cups to hand to PAIGE, who is sitting next to PHOEBE on the sofa. PHOEBE is sitting cross legged on the sofa, with The Book of Shadows in her lap.]PIPER: (to PHOEBE) I brought you a cup in case you change your mind. (PHOEBE, who still looks sort of pale, shakes her head without looking up.)PHOEBE: Thanks Piper, but my stomach is still weak from that vision. (She closes her eyes for a moment. PAIGE pats PHOEBE’s shoulder reassuringly.)PAIGE: (to PHOEBE) What’re you looking for? PHOEBE: I’m trying to figure out if there’s a way to summon this thing to us, instead of having to hunt it like we did last time. PIPER: (to PAIGE) They’re really fast, and they’re mean. (PAIGE frowns.)PAIGE: If you know where they are, and you know that there are more than one of them, why don’t you just have Leo orb you to them or something, so you can vanquish them all at once? PIPER: We can’t just go vanquish them, Paige. They’re neutral. PAIGE: What? (She scrunches her brow.) I thought they were evil. PHOEBE: They’re magical animals, and just like any other animal, they aren’t good or evil. It’s only after they’ve tasted human blood that they become a threat to innocents, meaning we have to step in and vanquish them to stop the threat. (She hands The Book of Shadows to PAIGE and points to a passage at the bottom of the page.) Read that. PAIGE: “Bunyips are neutral creatures who only attack when they feel that their young are being threatened. However, once a bunyip has tasted human blood, they become instantly addicted to the taste and will kill just to have it.” (She looks up with regret in her brown eyes.) Are you sure it only attacks when its young are endangered? PIPER: So far as we know. (PAIGE bites her lip.)PHOEBE: (to PAIGE) What’s wrong? PAIGE: That means we’re going to end up leaving its baby with one less parent. (PIPER and PHOEBE share a mournful look, both knowing exactly the conflict that PAIGE is feeling.)[Cut to the hallway. The bathroom door opens and PRUE steps out with a sour look on her face. She begins to walk down the hallway when COLE TURNER shimmers in and she nearly runs into him. Her eyes blaze as she pulls to an abrupt stop and glares up at him.]PRUE: What are you doing here? (COLE looks around.)COLE: Where’s Phoebe? PRUE: Downstairs. (She shoves past him, but he turns and hurriedly follows.)COLE: This concerns you also, Prue. (PRUE stops as she moves to step down onto the first step. She looks at him.) Piper and Paige, too. PRUE: What's going on? COLE: I've picked up some information on a huge demonic enterprise, ordered by The Source. (He walks down the stairs and PRUE follows. As he heads for the living room, PHOEBE walks out.)PHOEBE: I thought I heard- (Her eyes widen as she sees COLE.) Cole! (She throws her arms around him.) Where have you been? I haven't heard from you in awhile! COLE: Bounty hunters. (He looks between the other three Charmed Ones.)PHOEBE: Is something wrong? COLE: We've got a problem. The Source has mobilized a type of demonic trade. PHOEBE: Like a demonic black market? PAIGE: And that has to do with us…how? PRUE: (to PAIGE) It’s The Source, remember him? Big ugly guy in the black robes? If he’s doing anything, it’s our job to stop him! That’s what it has to do with us. PIPER: (to COLE) What sort of demonic market? COLE: Magical animals. (PHOEBE looks at her sisters.)PHOEBE Like bunyips. COLE: They’re being sold to the highest bidder for their unadulterated power, and The Source is reaping in the rewards. PRUE: So, where is this demonic market and how can we bust it? COLE: That I don’t know. But from what I hear, it’s located above ground and heavily guarded by black magic cloaking spells. (PIPER raises her index finger and begins to wag it at PHOEBE.)PIPER: Wait, wait, wait. I have an idea. (PRUE and PHOEBE look expectantly towards PIPER.)PHOEBE: Yes? PIPER: The Lost-And-Found Spell- PHOEBE: The one that returned Rasputin and all of our socks? PIPER: Yes! PHOEBE: What about it? PIPER: Do you remember how you tweaked it to help us find Tom? (PHOEBE bites her lip.)PHOEBE: Piper, I burned that spell last year. I don’t think I can- PRUE: (to PHOEBE) Write a new one. (to PIPER) Go make some generic vanquishing potions for our demonic traders. (She grabs The Book of Shadows from PAIGE, who’s been holding it while they were talking.) I’m going to take The Book back up to the attic, where it belongs. When I come back downstairs, I expect that you two (she looks at PIPER and PHOEBE) will be ready to go. (PRUE heads up the stairs without waiting for an answer. PAIGE scowls at PRUE’s back as she watches her disappear down the hallway. PIPER looks between PHOEBE and PAIGE.)PIPER: You heard her. (PHOEBE sighs.)PHOEBE: (to COLE) C’mon, I want you to come help me with my spell. (She wraps her arms around his waist and pulls him towards the stairs. PIPER begins to walk towards the kitchen, and then turns around.)PIPER: (to PAIGE) You know what, I think I might need some help with my potions. (PAIGE smiles and follows PIPER into the kitchen.)BREAK

Act Three [Scene: Manor. Kitchen. PIPER has laid out a bunch of ingredients and is standing over a large pot over the stove. PAIGE is leaning against the counter, watching PIPER make the potion.]PAIGE: You really like to cook, don’t you? (PIPER puts in another herb and nods. She stirs what was already in the pot and looks up.)PIPER: Yeah, I do, that’s why I’m always the one doing the potions. Phoebe’s a wiz at coming up with spells. PAIGE: And Prue’s the bossy one who just orders people around. (PIPER sighs. She just wished that everyone would all get along.)PIPER: She’s just acting up. You’ll get to know her and realize why she does what she does. She practically had to raise us. Grams was there, but Prue was like our mother. It’s like a slap in the face that she didn’t know about you. Don’t take it personally, sweetie. (The kitchen goes silent as PAIGE watches PIPER make the potion to get rid of the demonic traders. A few pops sound and then PAIGE decides to break the silence.)PAIGE: Can I ask for some help, Piper? PIPER: Of course you can. That’s what I’m here for. PAIGE: Well, Glenn is has been out of the hospital for a few weeks now, and in fact, he just got back from Australia a couple of days before I met you guys. (PIPER nods her head to keep PAIGE going.)PAIGE: We’ve had some dates planned. (PIPER looks up with a smile.)PAIGE: Just friendly dates. Nothing like that. Things are too complicated to add a relationship into the mix. (She sighs and watches PIPER add something green to the pot.) Well, I’ve had to cancel just about every date we plan because of magical things and I can tell that Glenn is annoyed by it. He’s my best friend and I’m hiding this big secret from him. He knows that I found my birth family, but I can tell he feels left out. PIPER: I’m sorry, Paige, that things aren’t going as you planned with Glenn. And, I wish I could tell you it gets easier, but unfortunately, it doesn’t. Family emergencies are big around here. Luckily for me, I’m married to a whitelighter and I own my own night club. Prue has been single for a while and she’s had to leave from work to help us. Phoebe has Cole and she just graduated. It’s one of the down sides of being part of the family. (PAIGE sighs.)PAIGE: I figured. PIPER: So, back to Glenn. What do you need help with? PAIGE: Oh, right. Well, I was thinking of having him over to my place tonight for dinner and a movie. (PIPER nods as another pop and bubbles form in the pot.)PAIGE: I was wondering if you could help me make something to eat. (PIPER smiles.)PIPER: I would love to make dinner for you and Glenn, Paige. I just have one favor I’d like you to do for me. PAIGE: Anything! PIPER: Cover for me for this vanquish. (PAIGE looks confused.)PAIGE: What? PIPER: I have a doctor’s appointment in a half hour and I really can’t miss this. Only the Power of Three is needed, so I really don’t need to be there. PAIGE: Doctor’s visit? What for? PIPER: (smiling) I think I’m pregnant, and I just want a confirmation from a professional. Only Leo knows, so I would appreciate it if you didn’t mention anything until the doctor says yay or nay. PAIGE: (happily) Of course I’ll cover you, Piper! This is so exciting. Not only do I finally get to an authentic Piper Halliwell dinner creation, but I might become an Aunt. (Just then, a loud explosion comes from the pot and PIPER winks)PIPER: Done! (She waves the smell away from her and starts to fill up some viles.)[Scene: Manor. PHOEBE and COLE are standing in front of the fire place, and PHOEBE is staring into the ashes of a recently burned fire. She holds out her hand.]PHOEBE: “Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, return the spell that brought back so much.” (The ashes in the fireplace begin to lift up and swirl around before flying into PHOEBE’s palm and taking the shape of a square. Then, a fiery red glow surrounds the ash, and it turns into a lined piece of paper with PHOEBE’s handwriting; the Lost-And-Found Spell she burned last year.)COLE: Nice work. (He peeks over her shoulder, examining the spell’s wording.)PHOEBE: You know, I never actually used this spell for what I had intended it for. COLE: And what was that? (A long beat of silence laps between them, and then PHOEBE turns her head away.)PHOEBE: To find you. (COLE stares at her for a long moment, and then wraps his hand around PHOEBE, pulling her to his chest. Softly, he kisses the top of her head.)COLE: I guess you didn’t need it after all. (PHOEBE smiles.)PHOEBE: I guess it was just destined to be. (She looks down at the spell again and then her eyes widen.) Oh! COLE: What? (He looks around, suddenly alert.)PHOEBE: Brainstorm! I think I know how I need to reword the spell. (She grabs COLE’s hand and guides him out of the room.)[Cut to the kitchen. PIPER and PAIGE poke their heads around the corner as PHOEBE and COLE make their way up the stairs. PAIGE lightly pushes on PIPER, shoving her towards the doors.]PAIGE: Go, go, go! (The two sisters scamper to the front doors and PIPER grabs her coat from the coat rack.)PIPER: Thanks again for covering for me, Paige. This is… (She looks down at her stomach and touches it gingerly.) This is something that’s really important to me. I’ve been looking forward to it for a long time now. PAIGE: Don’t mention it. (She glances at her sister’s stomach and grins widely.) Be careful. PIPER: You too. (She leaves. PAIGE then exhales deeply and leans up against the door. Just then, PRUE hurries down the stairs.) PRUE: Piper! (She goes into the kitchen and then quickly comes back out when she doesn’t see any sign of PIPER. Her blue eyes land on PAIGE and she folds her arms.) Have you seen Piper? PAIGE: You just missed her. (Shock etches itself into PRUE's face.)PRUE: Excuse me? PAIGE: I said, you just missed her. (She straightens her posture a little and moves towards PRUE.) And while you’re here- (Out of the corner of her eye, she sees PHOEBE and COLE appear at the stop of the stairs.)PRUE: While I’m here, what? (PHOEBE hurries down the stairs with a piece of paper in her hand, and COLE at her heels. She notices the tension between PRUE and PAIGE right away, and nervously steps between them.)PHOEBE: Uh, hey. What’s goin’ on? (She looks around.) And where’s Piper? PAIGE: She had something important to take care of. PRUE: (angry) Like what? PAIGE: That’s for her to say. (She folds her arms.) But I told her that I’d fill in for her while she’s gone. PRUE: (mocking) You’re going to fill in for Piper? (Her face reddens and her eyes lock with PAIGE’s.) If you know what’s good for you, you’ll tell me where my sister is. PHOEBE: (warning) Prue. PRUE: (to PHOEBE) She cannot fill in for Piper! We need the Power of Three! PHOEBE: (to Prue) She’s a Charmed One too, so technically, we still have the Power of Three. PRUE: (to PAIGE) How long is Piper going to be gone? PAIGE: (defiantly) I don’t know. It might take a while. PHOEBE: (to PRUE) Look, Prue, lets just get this done and over with. I’ve got the spell- PRUE: What about the potions? (PAIGE proudly pulls a small bag of vials from her skirt pocket.)PAIGE: Covered. (She points to the kitchen.) If you want more, Piper and I still have some on the stove. PHOEBE: (to PRUE) Well there you have it. We’re all set. Lets go. PRUE: (to PHOEBE) If you’re so insistent on bringing her, then you better go get more vanquishing potions since we’ll be down Piper’s powers. (PHOEBE looks to PAIGE, hesitant to leave them alone. PAIGE tosses PHOEBE a fake smile.)PAIGE: (to PHOEBE) It’s fine, Pheebs. Go. We’ll be here when you get back. (PHOEBE nods slightly and tugs at COLE.)PHOEBE: (whispering to PRUE) Play nice. (She and COLE walk into the kitchen. As soon as they’re out of the room, PAIGE turns her attention back to PRUE.)PAIGE: (hushed) How dare you! (PRUE’s mouth falls open slightly.)PRUE: How dare I what? You’re the one who’s just burst into our lives and disrupted everything. (PAIGE shoves her finger close to PRUE’s face.)PAIGE: (hushed) You had no right to run a background check on me! PRUE: How did you… (She glances back at the kitchen to make sure PHOEBE and COLE haven’t heard anything, and then she lowers her voice.) You know what? I don’t care how you found out. And I’m certainly not going to explain myself to you. I had every right to do what I did, seeing as how you've told us absolutely nothing about you. I have a duty to protect my sisters, and if that means researching the people that come into their lives, then so be it! PAIGE: (hushed) You weren’t trying to protect Piper and Phoebe, they’re perfectly capable of protecting themselves! You were trying to dig up dirt on me for your own benefit. (Her porcelain skinned face is growing a rosy hue as she gets angrier. Suddenly she starts to yell.) And don’t give me B.S. about not telling you about myself, because during the past month, not once have you had the courtesy to ask me anything! (PHOEBE runs in.)PHOEBE: What the hell is going on? PRUE: (angrily) None of your business, Phoebe. (She grabs the spell from PHOEBE’s hand, ripping the paper in the process.) “Guiding spirits I ask your charity, lend me your focus and clarity, cloaked by evil I am blind, take me to the demons I cannot find!” (A swirl of white lights engulf her, and she disappears. PHOEBE and PAIGE exchange looks.)PHOEBE: (to PAIGE) What did you say to her?! PAIGE: I just confronted her about the background check. PHOEBE: Paige! (She grabs her head with her hand, shaking it furiously.) Did you have to do that right before the vanquish? COLE: Phoebe, now isn’t the time. You two need to go after your sister. PHOEBE: (to COLE) Will you come as backup? (He frowns.)COLE: I don’t know if that’s such a good idea right now. PHOEBE: Please? (Sighing, COLE nods. PHOEBE takes hands with her boyfriend and PAIGE.) “Guiding spirits I ask your charity, lend us your focus and clarity, cloaked by evil we are blind, take us to the demons we cannot find!” (Another bright swirl of lights engulfs the two Charmed Ones and COLE, and then they disappear.)[Scene: PIPER’s jeep. PIPER parks her car in a parking space outside the hospital. She gets out of the car and locks it before entering the building. PIPER finds the elevator and presses the number “3”. The doors slide open and PIPER walks out towards the correct door, seeing other pregnant woman with their partners. With a deep breath, PIPER opens the door and signs in.]BREAK

Act Four [Scene: Warehouse. PRUE appears in the corner of the room. She sees black clothed demons everywhere, and from her vantage point, it looks like a labyrinth of cages. As she starts to walk, the caged bunyips start noticing her and begin to rock and bang on their cages, prompting the protective force fields to activate. In the same corner that PRUE appeared in, her sisters and COLE appear. PHOEBE spots her sister right away and starts waving her hands like a madwoman.]PHOEBE: (hushed) Prue, get back here! (Across the room, one of the demons looks up to see what the bunyips’ commotion is all about, and then his eyes land on COLE.)Demon #3: (shocked) Belthazor. (yelling) Belthazor and the Charmed Ones! (He begins to point towards the sisters and COLE. All of the demons turn their attention in the sisters’ direction, and ready energy balls.)COLE: Duck! (He shoves PHOEBE and PAIGE to the ground, just as three energy balls crash above their heads, leaving crusty black scorch marks on the cement wall. PRUE raises her hand, sending a wave of telekinetic energy to redirect two energy balls back at their creators, vanquishing the two demons instantly.)PRUE: Phoebe, those potions would be nice right about now! (PHOEBE scrambles to her feet and pulls out two vials.)PHOEBE: (to PAIGE) Come on, we need your help! (She grabs her sister’s hand and pulls her up, and they run over to PRUE. PHOEBE hands PRUE a handful of vials.)PHOEBE: Oh! (PHOEBE levitates into the air, barely avoiding an energy ball under her feet. She fumbles in her pocket, and then pulls out a vial which she hurls across the room. It hits one of the demons smack dab in the forehead, and vanquishes him. She glides back to the ground. Two more demons lunge at them. PAIGE’s eyes widen and she spots a wooden crate across the room. She throws out her arms.)PAIGE: Crate! (The crate orbs into PAIGE’s hands and she swings her arms to the left, bashing it into the skull of one of the demons, causing him to fall unconscious to the ground. Seeing the other demon, she throws the crate, catching him in the chest and forcing him to fall backwards into a stack of cages. She grabs two of the vials from her pocket and throws them at the demons she just knocked out, causing both to erupt in fiery vanquishes. A few feet away, COLE grabs one of the demons by his collar and twists his neck to the side. There’s a crack, and the demon explodes.)PHOEBE: Ooookay! (She spin kicks another demon into a pile of boxes, and then grabs each of her sisters by the arms.) We need a Plan B! This is not working. PRUE: Well if we’d brought Piper- (PHOEBE raises her finger.)PHOEBE: Now is so not the time! (She sees another flying energy ball.) Oh! (They duck.) The Power of Three spell! PRUE: Phoebe! PHOEBE: It’s our only chance. There’s too many of them! (PRUE waves her arm, sending two demons flying.) C’mon! PAIGE: What do I do? PHOEBE: Just follow our lead! (They stand up and she takes hands with PRUE and PAIGE. After a quick glance at PRUE, she straightens her posture and begins to chant at the top of her lungs.) “The Power of Three will set us free!” (A mystic breeze rustles around her, causing her hair to flutter. She looks at PAIGE.) Repeat it with us! PAIGE: “The Power of Three will set us free!” (The breeze becomes stronger. Both PHOEBE and PAIGE look at PRUE. PRUE looks away from them, out towards the demons.)PRUE: “The Power of Three will set us free!” (Several demons shimmer out.)COLE: Keep chanting! (He vanquishes another one.)PRUE, PHOEBE, & PAIGE: “The Power of Three will set us free!” (The breeze becomes a whipping wind and begins to encircle them. A few energy balls that come towards the sisters three, but are deflected by the wind.) “The Power of Three will set us free! The Power of Three will set us free!” (Smoke begins to rise from several of the demons, and others grab their throats and begin to yell in pain as fire erupts from their bodies.) “The Power of Three will set us free!” (There are loud exploding noises all around the sisters, followed by several bright burst of fire and plumes of black smoke. Large ash piles dot the entire warehouse, leaving no demon except for COLE in sight. As the wind dies down, PRUE quickly releases PHOEBE’s hand.)[Scene: 415 Magazine. MATT’s office. MATT and young man, who’s nametag reads “Rupert,” are taking. MATT is tapping his shoe anxiously as he waits for his printer to finish up.]RUPERT: So I really need those shots by tomorrow morning. MATT: (distracted) Sure. RUPERT: It’s my ass on the line if you don’t have them- MATT: I will, will. (The printer groans and finally spits out the last page. He grabs them in a hurry and heads for the door.)(RUPERT notices MATT’s camera equipment bag still sitting at the side of his desk. He grabs it.)RUPERT: Matt! Hey, you forgot your bag! (MATT turns around, looking flustered.)MATT: What? RUPERT: Your camera bag. (He holds it out to MATT, who takes it.)MATT: Right. Thanks! (He hurries out of his office, dropping a paper on his way out the door. RUPERT walks over and picks it up.)RUPERT: Matt! (As he looks down the hallway, MATT runs around the corner and RUPERT knows he’s too far away to hear him. He shrugs his shoulders as he turns to take it back to MATT’s desk. As he looks down at the paper, he pulls a confused face.) Bunyips? ( He grabs a pair of reading spectacles that are clasped to his breast pocket, and puts them on.) “In modern Australian lore, bunyips are likely to attack a human in dark or murky water, and take particular pleasure in eating the ears of their victims.” (He cringes and shoves the paper onto MATT’s desk.) Ehh…man, I don’t think I want to know what else you’re into. (He leaves quickly.)[Scene: Warehouse. PAIGE is staring into one of the bunyip cages, and the bunyip is thrashing around wildly, trying to escape. She steps back, slightly creeped out by the hybrid-looking creature.]PAIGE: So what do we do now? (She wrings her hands together.) How do we get them all out of here? COLE: (to PHOEBE) What if you reverse the spell the brought you here and use it to send the bunyips back to their natural habitat? Phoebe: Uh, okay… (She closes her eyes.) “Guiding spirits I ask your charity, please protect these creatures’ rarity, what is found should now be lost, return them home without a cost.” (A swarm of white lights surrounds one of the bunyips and it disappears. The empty cage door pops open.) Okay, so it worked, but there must be over a thousand in here. I’m going to lose my voice if I have to do this alone. (She looks at PRUE and PAIGE.) I think we can get them all at once if we use the Power of Three. (PRUE and PAIGE share a scowl.)COLE: (to PRUE and PAIGE) Look at it this way. The sooner you get this over with, the sooner you don’t have to be in the same room with each other. (His eyes shift just to PRUE.) Or me. PRUE: Fine. (She holds out her hand. PAIGE briskly takes it, and PHOEBE connects the circle by joining her hands with PRUE and PAIGE’s remaining ones.)PRUE, PHOEBE, & PAIGE: “Guiding spirits we ask your charity, please protect these creatures’ rarity, what is found should now be lost, return them home without a cost!” (Small columns of lights appear all over the room as each and every one of the caged bunyips is magically transported back to their natural habitat, followed by the click of locks as the doors on the empty cages pop open. PHOEBE brushes her hands together in satisfaction.)PHOEBE: Looks like our job here is done. (As she starts to walk back over to COLE, she notices one of the cages turned over on the ground. She squints.)PAIGE: What’re you lookin’ at? PHOEBE: This one looks like it’s broken. (She walks over to it and kneels down. As she touches the broken door, her eyes roll back into her head.)[Premonition: MATT is walking along a dock. His hand is hanging at his side, and a trail of blood droplets are running across the dock behind him. He kneels down, revealing a large slash along his palm, and dips his hand into the water. A small section of the water grows dark with his blood, and then, suddenly, the bunyip jumps out of the water and tackles MATT, pushing him to his back on the dock. It begins to bite and slash at his chest.][Cut back to the present. PHOEBE opens her eyes to find herself in COLE’s arms.]COLE: What did you see? (PHOEBE looks over at PRUE.)PHOEBE: I saw your Marc Anthony. PRUE: Matt? PHOEBE: He was getting attacked by the bunyip. (PRUE’s face pales.)PRUE: Do you know where? (Silence.)PHOEBE: Camp Skylark. Act Five [Scene: Camp Skylark. A silver Toyota Corolla pulls up near two vertical wooden beams, with a cross beam at the top. In weathered, chipping yellow paint it reads “Camp Skylark.” The door swings open and MATT gets out of the car, taking in the scenery. Instead of the beautiful green trees, there are a plethora of brown and red leaves, and the trees are skeletal, with a few clinging leaves here and there. MATT turns towards Lake Skylark. A few leaves are floating on the surface of the water, and there are slight ripples from the November breeze. MATT starts to head down to the dock. As he walks, he holds out his hand and a steak knife appears.]MATT: Okay, that wasn’t exactly what I was going for, but it’ll do. (As he reaches the beginning of the dock, he slices his palm with the steak knife, and then sets the knife on one of the wooden beams. His arm drops to his side as he slowly begins to walk down the dock, all the while leaving a trail of fresh red blood behind him.)[Cut to MRS. JOHNSON’s former cabin. COLE, PHOEBE, PRUE, and PAIGE shimmer in. It looks just as it was left the last time PHOEBE and PIPER visited MRS. JOHNSON, with the 1977 camp picture still sitting on a table covered in a red cloth. PAIGE looks at her sisters, still not sure why they seem so somber about the camp.]PAIGE: (to PHOEBE) Is there something else going on here that I should know about? COLE: (to PAIGE) Right now, you need to focus on your innocent. (COLE glances quickly at PHOEBE. PAIGE doesn’t miss it, but she doesn’t push the issue either. PRUE runs to the window and pulls back the curtains. Her eyes widen as she sees that MATT is already heading down the dock.)PRUE: He’s already down there! (She shoves open the door and begins running towards the lake.) Get off the dock! (MATT hears PRUE’s voice and spins around, surprised that she’s there. As he does, another drop of blood runs off his hand and falls into the water.) Get off the dock now! (Suddenly, the water bubbles as the BUNYIP springs from the lake. It jumps onto MATTt’s back and shoves him to the ground, and begins to bite ravenously at his back and neck. PRUE reaches the start of the dock, with her sisters and COLE are running down the steps to catch up with her. PRUE flings out her arm and the BUNYIP flies off of MATT, landing roughly on land. She runs over to MATT and kneels down.)MATT: Prue! PRUE: Oh my god! (She touches his back, to find that he’s bleeding heavily from the goudges.) We have to get you out of here! (She helps him up, but his attention is focused back on land, where the BUNYIP now has its eyes set on PHOEBE.)MATT: No! (He jabs his hand into his coat pocket and then his pocket suddenly bulges. When he pulls his hand out, he’s holding a gun. He draws his arm back, and with expert aim, he shoots a bullet into the BUNYIP’s back as it pounces at PHOEBE. The BUNYIP lets out a blood curdling screech as it falls into the dirt, stunned by the bullet. PRUE grabs MATT’s arm and yanks him off the deck.)PRUE: You have to get out of here. You’re hurt! (She wraps her arm around him and helps him wabble to COLE.) Get him out of here! MATT: But Prue- PRUE: I’ll be fine, I promise. PAIGE: (whispering) It’s getting up! PRUE: (to COLE) Go! (COLE stabilizes MATT and together they hurry for MRS. JOHNSON's cabin. PRUE watches them until they’re out of sight, and then she turns to her sisters.) Where is it? PAIGE: It’s back in the water. (The sisters move cautiously towards the dock. PRUE hangs back a little. PAIGE looks back.)PHOEBE: How’re we supposed to catch it? The last time, we had to have Piper freeze it in order to hit it with the potion, and even then it was so fast that it was breaking out of her freeze. (She stops a few feet from the water’s edge, surveying the ripples and trying to catch any sign of the BUNYIP.)PAIGE: The water’s too dark. You’ll never be able to see it. (She folds her arms.) What if I go? PHOEBE: What?! Are you crazy? PAIGE: I can orb! If it tries to get me, I’ll just orb. PHOEBE: You can’t even control that power! What makes you think you can do it now? PAIGE: I don’t need to control it, Phoebe. I just need to be afraid. PRUE: No. (Surprised, PAIGE turns around.)PAIGE: Excuse me? PRUE: You’re not getting in that lake. PAIGE: Give me one good reason. PRUE: Because I’m not going to let that lake claim an entire family. (PAIGE freezes. She stares at PRUE, confused by the sudden bit of compassion she hears in her voice. And, if she’s not mistaken, regret.)PAIGE: What are you talking about? PHOEBE: Paige…your parents were killed in that lake. (PAIGE turns towards the lake with venomous look in her eyes.)PAIGE: So, when you said you’d killed that demon before…it was the same one who killed my parents? (PHOEBE quickly shakes her head.)PHOEBE No. We vanquished the demon that killed Mom and Sam a long time ago. The thing we’re chasing now isn’t the same thing…it’s not even a demon. (PAIGE turns away from the lake, refusing to think about the tragedy that happened there.)PAIGE: What about your spell? You said it was to find lost things, right? (PHOEBE nods.) What if you use it to find that creature? (PRUE and PHOEBE look at each other.)PHOEBE: It’s worth a shot. (She moves closer to the lake.) “Show me the demon I cannot find, to save future innocents and restore our peace of mind.” (A glow washes over Lake Skylark, and then it becomes crystal clear, revealing the BUNYIP hidden beneath the surface.) Not what I had in mind, but I’ll take what I can get! PAIGE: So how do we catch it? PRUE: Like this. (Her body goes limp and ASTRAL PRUE appears next to PHOEBE. PAIGE jumps back.)PAIGE: Whoa! How did you do that? ASTRAL PRUE: It's called astral projection. I can move my consciousness to a projection of myself, a non-physical form in another location. Unfortunately, my powers don't work in in astral form, which is where you come in. Have you ever tried orbing anything away from yourself before? PAIGE: No. ASTRAL PRUE: Well you’re going to have to now. (She holds out her arms.) If your power is truly a telekinetic one, you should be able to do this. Just concentrate on the bunyip, call for it, and then instead of thinking about it coming to yourself, send it to me. (to PHOEBE) If this works, you’ll have a matter of seconds to smash the potion over its head before I return to my body, and then we say the spell. PAIGE: But what purpose does the whole copying thing do? Won't the bunyip just attack you anyway? PRUE: This is only a projection of myself, which means it can't hurt me unless it attacks my physical body. (PAIGE looks at PHOEBE for confirmation, and PHOEBE nods.)PHOEBE: Do your stuff. (PAIGE holds out her arms.) PAIGE: Bunyip! (The water clouds with bright blue light as the creature orbs out. PAIGE turns quickly to PRUE and holds out her arm.) To Prue! (The BUNYIP orbs into ASTRAL PRUE's outstretched arms, and as soon as it materializes, PHOEBE yanks out her vial and smashes it onto the BUNYIP’s head. ASTRAL PRUE disappears and PRUE awakens.)PRUE, PHOEBE, & PAIGE: “I summon earth, fire, air, and water, I ask for aide against these Aboriginal spirits that do slaughter, elements hear my call, remove this creature from these walls!” (The BUNYIP explodes into a fiery vanquish, leaving only a small lump on the ground. PRUE and PHOEBE cover their mouths, realizing instantly what it is. As PAIGE does, a few tears leak from her eyes. She walks over to it and kneels down, picking up the dead BABY BUNYIP and cradling it in her hands.)BREAK

Act Six [Scene: Bay General. Waiting room. PRUE is staring at the floor, lost in her thoughts. MATT walks out. His whole back is bandaged up, along with gauze which is wrapped around the slash on his hand.][/b] MATT: Prue? (PRUE looks up and lets out a sigh of relief.)PRUE: Thank god you’re okay. MATT: Thanks to you. (He cocks his head to the side, looking at her curiously.)PRUE: Yeah, about that… (She stands up and motions towards the electronic doors.) I need to talk to you about something. MATT: Sure. (He flashes a smile.) Anything. (They walk outside. It’s dark, except for the bright stars in the sky.) What’s on your mind? PRUE: Why were you at the lake today? (MATT shifts uncomfortably.)MATT: It’s kind of personal- PRUE: (forcefully) I need to know. MATT: Prue... (He bites his lip.) I haven’t been completely honest with you. (pause) This isn’t the first time I’ve been to San Francisco. As a boy, I used to come here and spend summers with my grandmother. (They start walking.)PRUE: But what does that have to do- MATT: I need to show you something. (They reach the parking lot.)PRUE: Where are we going? MATT: To my car. (They continue to walk until they come to the silver Toyota Corolla. MATT pulls the keys from his pocket and disarms the car. As he opens the door, he waves his hand and a yellowed newspaper appears on the passenger seat. He leans in and grabs it, and then hands it over to PRUE.)PRUE: What is this? (She looks down at the headline. It reads, “Drowning At Camp Skylark.” She involuntarily shivers.) How did you get this? (MATT points to the picture of the little girl on the front page.)MATT: My grandmother was going to enroll me in camp that summer. She was talking with the administrator and I got bored, so I snuck out of the cabin and wandered down to the lake. (He looks at the picture.) She was sitting on the dock, just dangling her feet over the edge and then, suddenly, water started shooting from the lake. (He closes his eyes.) She fell in and…and then she was gone. (He takes the paper from PRUE.) I’ve been infatuated with that lake ever since. PRUE: Marcy Lucas. MATT: What? PRUE: She was the first girl that drowned at Camp Skylark. (She swallows hard.) I went to camp that same year. MATT: Prue, if you don’t mind me asking, why were you there today? PRUE: How much do you know about the drownings at Lake Skylark? MATT: I know that there were three, and after that, they closed the camp. PRUE: The third drowning was a woman named Patty Halliwell. MATT: Halliwell? (His eyes widen.)PRUE: My mother. MATT: Prue, I’m sorry. I didn't know. (PRUE nods and wipes the corner of her eye. There's a long pause.) C-can I ask you something else? PRUE: Sure. MATT: It might sound crazy, but…do you believe in the supernatural? (PRUE just looks at him, not sure how to respond.) [Time Lapse. Manor. Living Room. PRUE is looking through her photographs, trying to finalize which Chinatown picture she should use. PHOEBE has her head resting against the back of the couch she’s sharing with PRUE. PIPER walks into the room and sits between her sisters. She extends her arms to lower PRUE’s photos and nudges PHOEBE.]PRUE: (annoyed) Where were you earlier? Paige said you just left. PIPER: I had an appointment that was important and since it was a Power of Three vanquish, I told Paige to take my place so I wouldn’t miss it. (PHOEBE sits up and looks at PIPER.)PHOEBE: What kind of appointment? PIPER: I went to the doctor's. (PRUE sets her photos on the floor, forgetting about them momentarily and focusing on PIPER.)PRUE: What? Why didn’t you tell us about this? PIPER: Because I needed a conformation before I told you. PHOEBE: (confused) What are you talking about? (PIPER grabs both of her sisters hands in hers and smiles.)PIPER: I’m pregnant. (PRUE and PHOEBE are silent for a split second and then jump on PIPER with big hugs. PIPER smiles and hugs back her sisters, tightly.)[Scene: PAIGE’s apartment. Dining Room. The dinner table is shown with two candles in the center and two plates across from each other. PIPER’s Pekin Duck is barely recognized as a duck and the vegetables are all eaten except for some carrots that PAIGE dislikes. A home-made peach cobbler sits on the table. There is a hole where two large slices have been cut.]
[Cut to the living room. Glenn is sitting on the couch in front of the TV with his left arm around PAIGE’s shoulders. She is cuddled against him and they are watching the movie “Kill It Before It Dies”. Two plates of the cobbler are sitting on the coffee table with two cups of tea.]PAIGE: Isn’t Billy a cutie? (Glenn looks down at her.)GLENN: (in mock offence) Oh, so you like him more than me, huh? (PAIGE laughs and playfully smacks her hand against GLENN’s chest. She then cuddles back up with him and they watch the movie, happy to have finally gotten to have a long awaited date.)
