[Scene: Halliwell Manor. Living Room. PIPER HALLIWELL and her husband LEO WYATT are cuddled up on the couch, watching a film. LEO moves a strand of PIPER's hair out of her face and watches her. PIPER turns away from the movie and looks at LEO.][/b]

PIPER: What?

LEO: Nothing. I’m just looking it you, that’s all.

PIPER: (smiling) And?

LEO: You're just everything I ever wanted.

(PIPER leans in and kisses LEO. At the entrance to the living room, PHOEBE HALLIWELL and PAIGE MATTHEWS walk in with a bowl of popcorn. They notice the married couple.)

PHOEBE: (laughing) Ew…get a room!

(PIPER breaks the kiss and glares at her sisters.)

PIPER: (teasingly) We were here first.

PAIGE: And you aren't alone anymore. (PAIGE sits on a couch and eats a handfull of popcorn. PHOEBE nods and taps LEO's arm, shooing him over.)

PHOEBE: Scoot over.

(PHOEBE picks up the remote and turns off the movie, switching it to a TV-made movie on Lifetime.)

PIPER: Hmp. We were watching something you know.

LEO: (mischievely) Let them have their fun, and we can have our own. (LEO winks and PIPER giggles. PAIGE makes a gagging noise. PIPER and LEO stand up.)

PIPER: I love the way you think.

(LEO wraps his arms around PIPER's waist and they orb out of the room. PAIGE shakes her head, stands up, and takes a seat besides PHOEBE who takes a handful of popcorn.)

PHOEBE: Sometimes I wonder about those so-called angels.

(PAIGE laughs as they hear a car door close outside.)

PAIGE: Speaking of...looks likes Prue's home.

(PAIGE walks towards the curtain and peaks outside. PRUE HALLIWELL is wearing a sexy black dress and kissing MATTHEW CAPIELLO. PHOEBE walks over and stands next to PAIGE to take a look.)

[Cut to the porch. The pale light from the full moon reflects off PRUE and MATT as they share a long, passionate kiss. They break apart and both are smiling.]

PRUE: I should go.

(MATT nods.)

MATT: So should I. We've got that photo shoot in the morning.

PRUE: Of course. I think Rupert purposely enjoys setting us up for early shoots.

MATT: I wouldn't doubt it.

(They stare at each other in silence.)

MATT: Okay, I should go now. I'll see you tomorrow.

PRUE: Good night. (She puts her hand on the door knob.)

MATT: 'Night.

(They share another smile before MATT walks down the steps and enters his car. PRUE watches him walk down and enters the Manor.)

[Scene: Avalon. The sky is blue and a garden full of an assortment of flowers is seem in the distance. There is a beautiful, clear lake, surrounded by green fields. A YOUNG GIRL is humming and frolicing in the grass. She's holding a large basket, filled with juicy red apples. Behind her, in the short distance, someone shimmers in, followed by others. She is close to the lake, and in the reflection, she sees the demons; her face goes stiff. Slowly, she turns around and is faced with a clan of demons.]

DEMON #1: After years of searching, we have finally found Avalon!

(The demons start to close in on the YOUNG GIRL.)

YOUNG GIRL: (shakily) You will not get it.

(A few of the demons ignite fire balls and the YOUNG GIRL closes her eyes for a second and takes an audible deep breath. The demons are about to release their fire.)

DEMONIC VOICE: (loud and echoing) Stop!

(The echoing voice stops the demons from attacking the YOUNG GIRL. Between the semicircle of the demons and the YOUNG GIRL, an ominous demon, VEXES, shimmers in. He raises his hand and then turns swiftly to face the YOUNG GIRL.)

VEXES: (to the YOUNG GIRL) You can't trust other demons to do things right.

(The YOUNG GIRL swallows again. VEXES, easily identifiable as the leader with his strong posture and commanding tone, frightens the YOUNG GIRL.)

DEMON #1: I'm sorry, My Liege...

VEXES: Enough! (He doesn't turn his head away from the YOUNG GIRL. He extends his arm back and throws a fire ball at the first demon, who turns into a pile of ash.) I don't like demons who disobey my orders.

(The other demons take a step back.)

VEXES: (to the YOUNG GIRL) Now, Calon, tell me where the Amulet is.

{SCENE: The song "Perfect”, written by Billy Corgan and sung by Smashing Pumpkins, is heard as stock shots of San Francisco are shown while the Guest Credits are rolled.}

Act One

[Scene: Manor. Kitchen. PIPER is standing alone in the kitchen. She pours a cup of coffee for herself as PRUE walks in with a smile and a yawn. PRUE grabs a cup and pours herself some coffee.]

PRUE: 'Morning.

(PIPER goes to the refrigerator and takes some eggs out.)

PIPER: How was your date?

PRUE: Pretty good.

(PIPER smiles brightly and turns the stove on where a frying pan already rests.)

PIPER: See, now you're like the rest of us, Prue. Dating someone magical, and lovin' it. (PIPER laughs and PRUE shakes her head, jokingly.)

PRUE: Uh oh. I'm turning into my little sisters. And I had always hoped that I would rub off on you guys, not the other way around.

PIPER: Strength in numbers.

PHOEBE's VOICE: Strength in numbers in what? (PHOEBE enters the kitchen yawning and takes a sip of coffee from PIPER's cup on the counter.)

PIPER: We're rubbing off on Prue.

PHOEBE: About time.

(The sisters go silent and the frying of the eggs is the only sound heard. Suddenly, COLE TURNER shimmers into the kitchen.)

COLE: I've got news.

(PIPER rolls her eyes and slides the eggs from the pan onto plates, PRUE finishes her cup of coffee, and PHOEBE goes up to COLE and gives him a kiss.)

PHOEBE: Good morning to you, too.

COLE: No time for hellos. I've just heard that a group of demons have entered...

(The front door opens and closes and hurried footsteps are heard. A crash and scream is heard from the foyer before COLE can finish his information.)

[Cut to the entry way. Flying through a flurry of orbs, a fireball goes spinning towards the dining room. The orbs reappear and PAIGE materializes. PRUE, PIPER, PHOEBE, and COLE walk in.]

PRUE: Paige!

(As another fireball flies towards PAIGE, PRUE waves her hand and sends it back to the demons who duck, leading the fireballs to crash with the front door. PAIGE stands back up and runs towards her sisters.)

PAIGE: (to PRUE) Thanks.

(Two more demons shimmer in and throw fireballs towards the sisters. PIPER gestures to freeze them, but they seem to be immune.)

PIPER: Anyone got a Plan B?

(Two additional fireballs fly at the group.)

PAIGE: Duck!

(PIPER and PAIGE duck as PHOEBE levitates into the air. PRUE waves her hand and the fireballs fly back at the demons hitting their makers in the chest. PHOEBE drifts back on the ground. Forming an energy ball, COLE takes a step forward and throws it. Another demon explodes on contact, leaving four cult-looking demons to remain. The tallest of the four shimmers out. PIPER raises her hands and one cries out as his particles blow in all directions, leaving nothing left. Behind PRUE and COLE, the tallest demon reappears. He summons a fireball to each hand and throws them simultaneously at PRUE and COLE. PAIGE notices out of the corner of her eye.)

PAIGE: Prue, look out!

(PAIGE dives at PRUE, pushing PRUE out of harm’s way but also causing the fireball to graze her side. PAIGE lets out a little cry of pain as she hits the ground. At the same time, the other fireball connects with Cole’s abdomen. COLE emits a primal roar and vanquishes his attacker with a well placed energy ball. PIPER turns promptly to the last two demons, who wisely shimmer out. PIPER turns to COLE and folds her arms across her chest.)

PIPER: Alright, what the hell was that?

[Scene: 415 Magazine. Photography studio. MATT walks in, lugging a large black camera bag on his shoulder and carrying twin foam coffee cups in each hand. He notices one of the 415 Magazine reporters, NATALIA JAX, interviewing ASHLEY JUDD across the room. He moves to an empty table and sets the coffees down, followed by his bag. MATT then reaches into his back pocket and pulls out his cell phone. He scrolls through the numbers until he finds PRUE's cell, and presses "Talk." He looks over his shoulder to see NATALIA scribbling something onto a tablet.]

PRUE's VOICE: You've reached Prue Halliwell. I'm unavailable right now, but please leave your name and number and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

(MATT hears a beep and he sighs.)

MATT: (whispering into the phone) Prue, where are you? It's already nine and Nat is almost done with her interview. (pause) Fine. Call me back soon. (He hangs up as NATALIA and ASHLEY shake hands.)

NATALIA: Thank you for your time. (She motions her arm and leads ASHLEY over to MATT.) Ms. Judd, this is one of our photographers who will be doing the promotional shots for the magazine today. Ashley Judd, I'd like you to meet Matthew Capiello.

(ASHLEY holds out her hand.)

ASHLEY: (to MATT) It's nice to meet you.

(MATT shakes ASHELY's hand.)

MATT: It's a pleasure.

NATALIA: (to MATT) Are you the only one today? I thought I was told that you and Prue were doing the shots?

MATT: (to NATALIA) She's just running a little late.

(NATALIA nods.)

NATALIA: Well, I'll leave you guys to it, then! (She smiles as she looks at ASHLEY.) I'll have the transcript to you by tomorrow morning, so you can review it.

ASHLEY: Thank you.

(NATALIA leaves.)

ASHLEY: So, where do we begin?

[Scene: Avalon. As VEXES is standing alone, two demons shimmer in beside him. VEXES doesn’t look at them.]

VEXES: Are the sisters taken care of?

(The two demons share shaky looks.)

DEMON #3: Uh…yes…we managed to injure the youngest…

DEMON #4: And Belthazor, too.

(VEXES nods his head with pleasure.)

VEXES: That’s the kind of news I’ve been waiting for. (VEXES kneels down and runs his hand over the water. Blue electricity shocks him as the two demons stare at each other.)

DEMON #4: My Liege?

(VEXES growls and looks up.)

VEXES: (angrily) What?!

DEMON #4: It’s not my place to question, but why did you want us to only attack The Charmed Ones and not kill them?

(VEXUS stands up and walks away from the lake. He laughs.)

VEXES: You don’t have the power to take on The Charmed Ones, you fools. In fact, I’m surprised you are alive to report back to me.

DEMON #4: If you just wanted us to attack them, then won’t they come after us?

VEXES: Yes, but by then, I’ll have the powers of Avalon. The Charmed Ones won’t be able to defeat me then. (He looks back at the CALON.)

DEMON #3: (whispering to DEMON #4) I think we should leave.

(VEXES blinks and turns around towards them.)

VEXES: I agree! (Vexes raises his arm threateningly, and the two demons shimmer out. That’s when VEXES turns his attention back to the CALON, who is tied and gagged on the open green field.)

VEXES: Now, Calon, are you ready to tell me where the Guardians of the Heart of Avalon are, or do we have to do this the hard way? (He snaps his fingers and the unconscious body of a middle aged woman appears at Vexes’ feet.)

CALON: (gasping) Mom!

Act Two

[Scene: Manor. Attic. PHOEBE is standing behind The Book of Shadows, flipping through the pages. COLE is at her side. PRUE, PIPER, and PAIGE are also there.][/b]

PAIGE: I always thought Avalon was just part of the Arthurian myths, where Excalibur was forged.

COLE: Avalon is far from a myth, Paige. It’s an ancient island that demons have been trying to gain access to for centuries. You are right about one thing, though - Excalibur. In the magical world, Avalon is famous for being the birthplace of countless magical weapons and tools.

PIPER: Like?

COLE: Do you remember the amulet that Raynor had me steal? The two halves that, if joined by a specific spell from The Book of Shadows, could make the wearer invincible? (PIPER nods.) That amulet was made by magical blacksmiths in Avalon.

PHOEBE: I still don’t understand. That amulet (she taps the page as she turns the pedestal towards her sisters to reveal the amulet that COLE was talking about) couldn’t be used by evil. And according to the myths, neither could Excalibur, which is why only Arthur could take it from the stone.

PIPER: Phoebe’s right. Even if they did take over Avalon, what makes them think they could do anything with it?

COLE: There’s one amulet that’s held above all others. It’s known as the Heart of Avalon. Demons believe that if they can steal it from the Avalonian goddesses who have sworn to protect it, then they will be able to turn Avalon to evil and-

PRUE: Begin harvesting protections for evil?

COLE: (to PRUE) Yes. How did you know?

PRUE: I just jumped on the demonic thought train. It makes sense. If Avalon is currently controlled by white magic, then everything produced there would protect just practitioners of white magic. But if it were controlled by black magic, then the reverse would also be true.

(LEO orbs in.)

LEO: Cole’s right; demons have found a way into Avalon. They’re after the-

PAIGE: Heart of Avalon? (LEO looks confused. PAIGE waves her hand.) Fast forward, Leo. We already know that. What we don’t know, is how to get to Avalon and save it.

LEO: There is no way to get to Avalon.

PRUE: Excuse me?

LEO: It’s located on another realm of existence, protected by a magical force field. Not even The Elders know how to get there. It’s always been thought that if anyone else knew, it might somehow leak to demons and they would breach its protections.

PIPER: Well, we can all see how nicely that worked out.

PHOEBE: Here it is. (Everyone looks at PHOEBE. PHOEBE taps The Book of Shadows, revealing a color hand drawn picture of the Avalonian island, above a small paragraph of text.) It doesn’t help us much, though. It’s just your basic, textbook blurb. It pretty much tells us what Cole and Leo already have; there isn’t a known way into Avalon.

PAIGE: So how did the demons get in?

(COLE looks at the floor.)

COLE: Only one way to find out.

PHOEBE: (to COLE) I’m going with you.

COLE: (to PHOEBE) No. You have to stay here with your sisters. If evil does find a way to steal the Heart of Avalon, you’ll need all the help you can get. The Power of Four can’t risk being broken up right now.

(PHOEBE moves to COLE and lightly kisses him.)

PHOEBE: Be careful.

COLE: I always am. (He shimmers out. PHOEBE looks to her sisters and LEO.)

PAIGE: Now what?

PRUE: I guess we wait.

[Scene: 415 Magazine. Photography studio. There’s a bright flash and then MATT sets his camera onto its tripod. He walks over to a fan that’s being used to blow ASHLEY’s hair back, and turns it off.]

ASHLEY: So are we taking a break, or are we done?

MATT: Well, I’d like to get a few more close-ups if you don’t mind. (ASHLEY shakes her head.) Great. We’ll take ten and then finish up?

ASHLEY: Sounds great. (MATT moves to the table and grabs his cell phone. MATT catches ASHLEY still looking at him from the corner of his eye and he looks back at ASHLEY.) Is there any place to get a bite to eat here?

MATT: There’s a snack machine at the end of the hallway.

ASHLEY: Great. Thanks. (She leaves. PRUE’s answering machine picks up again. MATT sighs, obviously frustrated. He hangs up.)

MATT: If you’re going to ignore your cell, I might as well try your house. (He dials the Manor.)

[Scene: Manor. Kitchen. The cordless phone is ringing. PRUE walks in and picks up the phone.]

PRUE: (into the phone) Hello? (Her eyes widen.) Matt! Oh my god, I completely forgot! (PHOEBE walks in.) No, no. (pause) Yes, so are my sisters.

PHOEBE: (mouthing) Who’s that?

(PRUE holds up her index finger.)

PRUE: It is kind of a big deal. There was a demonic attack on some sort of ancient magical city. (pause) Are you sure?

[Cut to MATT.]

MATT: (into the phone) Yeah, we’re almost through here anyway. (ASHLEY walks into back into the room, nibbling on a candy bar.) I’ll be right over. (pause) Okay. Be careful. Bye. (He hangs up.)

ASHLEY: Something wrong?

MATT: (to himself) Just the usual. (He grabs his camera.) Are you ready to get finish up? (ASHLEY tosses her wrapper into the trash and then strikes a pose in front of the backdrop. MATT starts taking pictures.)

[Cut to PRUE. She clicks “End” and moves to place the phone back in its cradle.]

PRUE: I cannot believe I forgot the shoot this morning!

PHOEBE: At least you didn’t have to lie to him about it.

(The phone rings again. Frustrated, PRUE answers it.)

PRUE: (into the phone) Matt I… (Her face turns slightly red.) Oh, sorry Monica. I’ll get her for you. (She covers the mouthpiece.) Piper!

[Cut to PIPER’s bedroom.]

PRUE's VOICE: (yelling) Telephone!

(PIPER grabs the phone on the table next to her bed.)

PIPER: Thanks, Prue. I’ve got it. (She hears the click as PRUE hangs up the kitchen phone.) Hello?

MONICA’s VOICE: I’ve got good news and I’ve got bad news. What do you want first?

(PIPER groans.)

PIPER: Just go in alphabetical order.

MONICA’s VOICE: Alrighty, then. The bad news, Simple Plan canceled on us.

PIPER: What?! No! No. We’ve had them booked for a month in advance!

MONICA’s VOICE: One of the members came down with the flu.

PIPER: Well, now what are we supposed to do?

MONICA’s VOICE: Enter the good news; I’ve booked Green Day.

PIPER: Green Day. (pause) How in the world did you get Green Day last minute?

MONICA's VOICE: Let's just say I know a guy who knows a guy.

PIPER: You are a lifesaver.

MONICA’s VOICE: Eh…I do what I can.

PIPER: Remind me to give you a bonus the next time I see you.

[Scene: Avalon. The sky is now dark and black. Forks of lightning are flashing above and rolling thunder can be heard in the distance. The once green grass is now brown and the vibrant flowers are now dead. VEXES is standing in the middle of what once was a green field, holding one of the GUARDIANS by the throat. The GUARDIAN is squirming as his face turns red, trying desperately to breathe.]

VEXES: You Guardians are so stubborn. You know, you could end this so easily if you would just tell me where the Amulet is.

GUARDIAN: (choking) I-I don't kn-know.

(VEXES squeezes the GUARDIAN's neck harder.)

VEXES: I thought you would've learned by now that that is not the right answer! (The GUARDIAN's face becomes a deep red and then he explodes. A pile of white dust falls from VEXES' hand to the brown grass, next to two other piles of white ash. He turns to the other cowering GUARDIANS.) Who's next?

Act Three

[Scene: Underworld. COLE shimmers in behind a large rocky wall. There are two female voices. Cautiously, he pokes his head out from behind the rock and sees two female darklighters, MARLA and KIMORA, warming themselves in front of a crackling fire.][/b]

MARLA: No, do you remember the bunyip import that The Source ordered a few months back? (KIMORA nods.) Well, rumor has it that The Source has been double crossing the demons who were buying the bunyips for their unadulterated magic.

KIMORA: What do you mean?

(MARLA looks around and then lowers her voice.)

MARLA: (whispering) He charged the highest level demons exuberant amounts in power in exchange for bunyips, which he then absorbed. But apparently his Oracle had foreseen that once the demonic buyers had absorbed the powers of their newly purchased bunyips, the price they’d paid The Source in power wouldn’t be a great loss. In fact, they’d still end up more powerful than they started out with.

KIMORA: But what’s the purpose in going through all of that?

MARLA: Avalon.

(KIMORA’s eyes widen.)

KIMORA: Oh my god, that’s brilliant! (Her eyes shift slightly.) The only thing I don’t get, is why he didn’t just attack Avalon then, though.

MARLA: Two reasons. According to my one of my higher ups, one, the bunyips’ magic has slowly been growing in the demons that they were purchased by. They never knew that they would end up with as much power as they did, but apparently The Source did via his Oracle.

KIMORA: And two?

MARLA: Everyone knows that at midnight on a full moon is when one’s powers are the strongest.

KIMORA: Last night!

(MARLA nods.)

MARLA: Exactly.

(Behind the rock, COLE smirks quietly to himself.)

COLE: (whispering) I always could count on you, Marla. The Underworld gossip. (He shimmers out.)

MARLA: But do you know what the real kicker is?

KIMORA: What?

MARLA: I hear that The Source’s attack on the Avalon drained him of his power so greatly that he’s put his Oracle in charge of his affairs until he can recuperate his power.

[Scene: Manor. Kitchen. PHOEBE is sitting alone at the table, strumming her fingers. She reaches across the table to the fruit bowl and pulls it towards her. As she begins to rifle through the oranges and bananas, PAIGE walks in.]

PAIGE: There you are. Have you been in here this whole time? (PHOEBE nods.) I was starting to think I got my days mixed up and you’d left for work.

PHOEBE: Nope. I’ve just been being a loner in the kitchen. (She shrugs.) My first day off in two weeks and wouldn’t you know, demons decide to pick today to infiltrate an ancient city. (She rolls her eyes.) Go figure.

(PAIGE takes a seat next to PHOEBE.)

PAIGE: At least you didn’t have to tell your boss the bus was late again.

PHOEBE: Yeah. (She frowns.) I really need to get me a car. (She pulls a red apple from the fruit bowl. PAIGE raises her eyebrows and PHOEBE shrugs.) I had a cavity when I saw the dentist last week. I’m just trying to go healthier. (As she sinks her teeth into the apple, her posture becomes rigid.)

[Premonition: An oval shaped amulet, the Heart of Avalon, is draped around PRUE’s neck. She’s standing in the middle of a dead field, fighting a group of demons. PRUE throws out her arm and the amulet glows white. The telekinetic energy equal, if not more powerful, than the force her future self of 2009 had, pummels into the horde of demons. Three of them hit the ground so hard that they burst into flames on contact. As PRUE sends her arm out again, a hand wraps itself around PRUE’s neck and rips the amulet from her. VEXES grabs PRUE by the hair and spins her towards him. An athame appears within his hand and he plunges it into PRUE’s gut. PRUE falls to her knees as blood begins to flow freely from her wound. VEXES holds up the bloody athame and it begins to shake violently. A red lightning bolt shoots from the dark sky into the athame and it glows red as PRUE's powers flow from the athame into Vexes. PRUE drops to her back, holding her stomach. Shimmers ripple across the field as more demons appear in Avalon.]

[Cut to the present. The apple is now on the floor. PRUE, PIPERr, PAIGE, and LEO are crowded around PHOEBE. PIPER is dabbing PHOEBE’s head with a damp cloth. PAIGE bends down and picks up the bitten apple.]

PAIGE: (to LEO) As soon as she bit into the apple, she had a vision and then collapsed onto the table.

(LEO takes the apple from PAIGE and examines it.)

LEO: The island of Avalon was given its name due to the perfect apples that grew there. It was named by the Welsh, whose word for apple was aval. (He holds up the apple.) Chances are, if she had a premonition from this, she probably saw something that could help us save Avalon.

PRUE: Or she saw its downfall.

(PHOEBE stirs. PIPER gently rubs PHOEBE’s back.)

PIPER: Pheebs? Are you okay?

(PHOEBE blinks several times as she opens her eyes. She searches frantically before she spots PRUE. She grabs PRUE’s hand.)

PRUE: Phoebe, what’s wrong? (She strokes PHOEBE’s hair from her face.) What did you see?

PHOEBE: (breathlessly) There’s a way into Avalon.

PRUE: How?

(PHOEBE shakes her head.)

PHOEBE: No, you don’t understand. You can’t go. I saw you die there!

[Cut to the street outside the Manor. MATT’s silver Toyota Corolla pulls up to the curb and MATT gets out. The sky is dank and overcast. The heavy smell of rain lingers in the air. Suddenly, a small drop of water splashes onto MATT’s hand. A few more rain drops fall from the sky, leaving tiny dark circles on the sidewalk. MATT quickens his pace as he hurries to the front door.]

[Cut back to the kitchen. They hear the doorbell ring. PRUE stands up.]

PHOEBE: Prue-

PRUE: Hey. (She touches PHOEBE’s shoulder.) Demons don’t usually use the doorbell, remember? (She looks at her watch.) Besides, it’s probably just Matt. He was going to come over at the shoot to help us. (She leaves the kitchen.)

[Cut to the porch. The thunder cracks as the rain begins to fall harder from the sky. MATT shifts uneasily from one foot to the other as he waits. Then the door opens. MATT smiles and greets PRUE with a peck on the lips.]

MATT: Any news? (PRUE shakes her head as MATT walks in.)

PRUE: Cole went to check the Underworld this morning, but we haven’t heard anything back from him since then. Leo has been in and out checking with The Elders… (She shrugs.) But since when have They ever been any help? (MATT bites his lip, but doesn’t comment.) All They’ve been able to tell us is that They think the weather right now might be connected to the power shift going on in Avalon.

MATT: Well that’s something, I guess. (They start walking towards the dining room.)

PRUE: (quietly) There’s also something else.

(MATT stops and looks at PRUE.)

PRUE: Phoebe had a premonition. (pause) Apparently I’m supposed to find a way to get into Avalon-

(At the end of the dining room, a swirl of white mist appears that forms into a man wearing the robes of one of the Avalonian Guardians.)

MATT: Get down! (He pushes PRUE aside and conjures an athame, which he hurls at the GUARDIAN. The GUARDIAN holds up his hand and a white force field appears, causing the athame to bounce harmlessly away from him and land with a clank on the floor. PRUE raises her arm.)

GUARDIAN #2: No, wait! Please, I’m not your enemy!

MATT: (threateningly) Then who are you?

(The second GUARDIAN dips his fingers down the collar of his shirt and pulls up a silver chain, revealing the amulet from PHOEBE’s premonition.)

GUARDIAN #2: We need you to protect the Heart of Avalon.

Act Four

[Scene: Manor. Entry way. PRUE looks shocked as MATT still looks at the robed man suspiciously.][/b]

GUARDIAN #2: You must believe me! Look, my name is Theodore. (He unclasps the Heart of Avalon from around his neck and holds it out to PRUE.) I’m one of the only Guardians left.

MATT: (suspiciously) What happened to the others?

THEODORE: Vexes is killing them off, one by one. He’s trying to get them to reveal the location of the Avalonian goddesses, who protect it.

PRUE: If the goddesses are supposed to have it, then why are you holding it?

THEODORE: They’ve been weakened. When The Source breached Avalon’s shield-

PRUE: (worried) The Source?

THEODORE: There’s no time to explain! Avalon is getting weaker by the moment and with each Guardian that dies, Vexes gets closer to the Amulet!

(PRUE cautiously walks towards THEODORE, with MATT right behind her.)

PRUE: Why me?

THEODORE: Because you’re the eldest of The Charmed Ones. The most powerful. You’re our only hope.

(PIPER, PHOEBE, PAIGE, and LEO walk out. PHOEBE sees the Heart of Avalon.)

PHOEBE: That’s the amulet from my premonition! (She looks from THEODORE to PRUE.) What’s going on?

(PRUE motions to THEODORE.)

PRUE: (to PHOEBE) He’s come to take me to Avalon.

(PHOEBE shakes her head.)

PHOEBE: Then we’re coming with you.

THEODORE: (to PHOEBE) I don’t have enough magic to transport you all there. I barely had enough to get myself here for your sister. Vexes’ killings are weakening our collective power, which is why the goddesses sent me alone.

(PHOEBE starts shakes her head violently. PRUE raises her hand.)

PRUE: (to PHOEBE) Was it just me in the premonition?

PHOEBE: (to PRUE) What do you mean?

PRUE: (to PHOEBE) It was just me, right? Matt wasn’t there. (PHOEBE nods.) So what if Matt goes with me?

LEO: (to PRUE) You’d have more power if one of your sisters goes with you.

PRUE: (to LEO) I can’t risk one of them getting hurt, too. If they stay here, they’ll at least have the Power of Three. Matt has to go.

THEODORE: I don’t know if I can-

MATT: (interrupting) You don’t really have a choice. (He takes PRUE’s hand.) If Prue goes, then I go too.

(THEODORE hands the Heart of Avalon to PRUE.)

THEODORE: Put this on. It’ll enhance your powers, and the heavens know you’ll need them the moment you get there. (PRUE drapes the Heart of Avalon around her neck and then takes ahold of THEODORE's hand and squeezes MATT's.)

PIPER: Prue! (PRUE looks up. PIPER moves to her and wraps her arms around her big sister. She leans close to PRUE's ear and starts to whisper.) Come back to me.

PRUE: (whispering) Don’t worry. (She smiles encouragingly.) I plan on making it home for dinner. (PRUE disappears with MATT and THEODORE. PIPER turns to her remaining sisters and LEO. PIPER moves to LEO and he wraps his arms around her. PAIGE looks at PHOEBE, who is wearing the same expression as PIPER.)

PHOEBE: (whispering to PAIGE) That’s the last thing Mom said before she went to vanquish the Water Demon.

[Scene: Underworld. THE ORACLE’s lair. THE ORACLE looks up from her crystal ball as VEXES shimmers in.]

THE ORACLE: I trust you have good news for me, Vexes?

(VEXES quickly bows his head towards THE ORACLE. She smiles.)

VEXES: I’ve killed all but one of the Avalonian Guardians.

THE ORACLE: And the last?

VEXES: I believe he’s gone to find the eldest Charmed witch and bring her back to save his city.

(THE ORACLE waves her hand over her crystal ball, revealing an image of PRUE, MATT, and THEODORE appearing in Avalon.)

THE ORACLE: You’re right.

VEXES: What do you see?

(THE ORACLE places her index finger to her dark red lips.)

THE ORACLE: I see the opportune moment to take down the witch and Avalon. (She waves her hand.) Go, now!

[Scene: Manor. Living room. COLE shimmers in. PHOEBE jumps up and goes to him.]

PHOEBE: Oh my god, Cole! Where have you been?

COLE: It’s The Source. He’s been planning to attack Avalon for months now. It was why he ordered the bunyip trade.

PIPER: (shocked) What?

(COLE holds up his hand.)

COLE: And I’ve found the location of the magical rip between this plane of existence and the one Avalon’s on.

PIPER: You mean we can get through?

(COLE shakes his head.)

COLE: It’s swarming with The Source’s guards.

PAIGE: Can’t Leo just orb us in?

COLE: I thought that, too. But I overheard one of guards saying that The Source has enchanted the portal, so that only demons can get in and out of it.

(PHOEBE starts to shake her head.)

PHOEBE: Cole, you can’t! You’re still a bounty down there. It’s too risky.

(COLE notices that PRUE isn’t there.)

COLE: Where’s Prue?

LEO: One of the Guardians of the Amulet took her and Matt there to vanquish Vexes.

[Scene: Avalon. PRUE throws out her arm and the amulet glows white. The telekinetic energy pummels into the horde of demons. Two fly through the air and crash into dead apple trees, turning to ash on impact. MATT holds out his hands and a throwing star appear in each hand. He hurls them at two of the demons, catching on in the forehead and one in the chest; they both explode. As PRUE sends her arm out again, VEXES appears behind her. He wraps his hand around PRUE’s neck and rips the amulet from her. MATT hears PRUE’s gasps and spins around.]

MATT: (to VEXES) No!

(A gun materializes in his hands and he aims it at VEXES. The shot rings through Avalon, before impaling itself in VEXES’ chest. VEXES lets go of PRUE as the force of the blast lands him on his back and the Amulet is thrown from his grasp. From her position on the ground, PRUE squints her eyes and the Amulet flies at MATT. VEXES scrambles from the ground as the bullet hole in his chest heals itself.)

VEXES: (to MATT) Don’t make me laugh. You’re not even Charmed. You can’t wield the Heart of Avalon even if you wanted to.

(VEXES extends his arm and a ribbon of flames snakes towards MATT. MATT’s eyes widen as he feels the heat of the flames come very close to him, then a red flare appears between himself and the flames. The flames connect with ASTRAL PRUE and disappear. Suddenly, ASTRAL PRUE lets out a small gasp and fades away. MATT turns his attention to PRUE’s physical body, and to his horror, finds an athame sticking out of PRUE’s back. The Amulet slips from MATT’s fingers.)

MATT: (shocked) Prue!

VEXES: Love is the mortal downfall, isn’t it? (He raises an arm to his minions.) Kill him!

Act Five

[Scene: Avalon. COLE shimmers in near the now dark lake, which is reflecting the storming sky. His blue eyes sweep the area and then he sees PRUE bleeding to death on the ground while VEXES and his minions advance on MATT. As multiple fireballs come towards MATT, he holds up his hands and a steel shield appears. With sizzling noise, the fireballs crash into the shield leaving heavy dents and black scorches on the previously gleaming metal. Vexes scoffs.][/b]

VEXES: Parlor tricks. (VEXES nears MATT and reaches for the Amulet, only to have his arms fly outwards and his back arch in pain. MATT dodges another set of fireballs and then flicks his vision past VEXES, eyeing COLE near the lake. VEXES spins around.) Belthazor! How nice of you to join us.

(Using VEXES’ momentary distraction to his advantage, MATT grabs the Amulet from the ground and drapes it over his neck.)

MATT: (yelling to COLE) Get Prue out of here! I know where to take the Amulet! (MATT drops the severely ruined shield and aims his conjured gun at the advancing minions. With a few shots to the chest, two of them explode in a fiery vanquish.)

COLE: (to MATT) You can’t handle Vexes on your own, the Power of Three will need to vanquish him!

MATT: (angrily to COLE) Just save Prue! (Suddenly, VEXES lets out a howl and vanishes in a burst of flames, much to the surprise of COLE, MATT, and the minions.) What the hell…

COLE: The Source took him…He failed. (In a fiery explosion, VEXES’ demonic minions also explode. The backlash of the explosion causes MATT to slide across the ground, landing roughly on his back.)

MATT: Prue. Now! I’ll get the Amulet to safety.

(COLE walks over to an unconscious PRUE and takes her into his arms. A large pool of blood is left on the ground from where she’d fallen. He shimmers out.)

[Scene: Underworld. THE ORACLE’s lair. VEXES screams as he appears in a rush of flames. THE ORACLE is standing next to THE SOURCE, who is barely visible from the shadows.]

THE ORACLE: (to VEXES) You failed!

VEXES: You summoned me before I could get the Amulet back!

THE SOURCE: (echoing) Silence!

THE ORACLE: (to VEXES) I have seen the future, and if you had been allowed to remain, The Charmed Ones would have obtained critical information from you that we can’t have being leaked.

(VEXES’ eyes travel to the shadowy figure of THE SOURCE.)

VEXES: (to THE SOURCE) So then, the rumors are true?

THE ORACLE: (to VEXES) Not if there is no one left to confirm them.

VEXES: No! Please, no!

(THE SOURCE snaps his fingers and a ring of fire appears around VEXES before closing in on him and turning him into a pile of ash.)

[Scene: Manor. Living room. PRUE is lying on her stomach on the sofa. LEO is kneeling down next to her with his hands over her wound. A golden light is shining from them. PIPER, PHOEBE, PAIGE, and COLE watch as the blood disappears and the wound slowly closes itself up. PRUE’s eyes flash open and she jumps up.]

LEO: Hey, hey. Easy, Prue. Everything’s alright.

PRUE: Where’s Matt?

COLE: He’s still in Avalon.

PRUE: What about the demons? What about Vexes?

COLE: They failed The Source and paid the consequences.

PIPER: Cole said that Matt stayed behind to return the Amulet to the Avalonian goddesses.

(PRUE looks around, confused.)

PRUE: How did I get back here?

PHOEBE: Cole saved you.

[Scene: Avalon. MATT looks around the ruined island. No one is left; only piles of ashes remain. His hand moves up to the Amulet and he holds it tightly. His eyes are closed as he is concentrating and in a flash of light, he disappears.]

[Scene: Avalon. Goddesses’ fortress. MATT appears before a group of five Avalonian goddesses and bows slightly. He removes the Amulet from his neck and extends it out to them.]

RHIANNON: Where is Theodore?

(MATT stands up straight, looking sad.)

MATT: I’m sorry, but he was killed by Vexes’ demons.

(BRANWEN, the head goddess, nods her head.)

BRANWEN: He did what he was meant to do, and we thank him for that.

(The other goddesses nod their heads. RHIANNON comes up to MATT and carefully picks up the Amulet. She looks it over and hands it to a third goddess, ARIANRHOD, who carries it to a pedestal and places it in it’s rightful position.)

BRANWEN: And we thank you and Prudence for protecting the Amulet and returning it safely.

MATT: No need to thank us. We were only doing what was best for the Greater Good.

BRANWEN: (smiling) Arianrhod, please escort Matthew back and thank The Charmed Ones.

(ARIANRHOD nods and leads MATT outside the fortress. The scenery has changed. The grass is green and the sky is blue. It seems as if everything has returned before the demonic takeover. ARIANRHOD laughs as MATT looks around.)

ARIANRHOD: You seem surprised that everything has returned. The Amulet is now safe, as is Avalon. And now, let us get you back to your rightful place.

(ARIANRHOD extends her hand to MATT and he takes it. They disappear.)

[Scene: Manor. Living room. The Charmed Ones, LEO, and COLE are all waiting. PRUE is picking at her cuticles, waiting for MATT to return. In the middle of the room, ARIANRHOD and MATT appear and PRUE gets up and hugs MATT.]

PRUE: (to MATT) I was beginning to wonder if you were ever going to return.

(PIPER stares at ARIANRHOD, who is holding a basket of apples.)

PIPER: Uh, hello.

ARIANRHOD: (smiling) Hello. We would like to thank you all for your help in securing Avalon and the Amulet. (She extends the basket and PIPER takes it from her.) Fresh grown apples. The best you’ll find anywhere in existence.

Act Six

[Scene: P3. The club is shoulder-to-shoulder crowded. On stage, Green Day is performing “Castaway.” MONICA is at the bar. As she serves a customer a beer, she sees PIPER and LEO walk down the stairs. She waves her arm and the couple make their way over to the bar.][/b]

PIPER: I think it’s safe to say that the when the owner can’t find a parking spot, we’re having a good night.

(MONICA grins.)

MONICA: All in a day’s work.

PIPER: Throw me an apron, you’re going on break.

MONICA: Piper-

PIPER: (interrupting) No, I’m serious. You saved me today. I don’t know how you did it, but you did, and you deserve the rest of the night off. (Sighing, MONICA takes off her apron and hands it over to PIPER as PIPER slips behind the bar. She notices a man across the room looking at MONICA.) I think that guy over there is checking you out.

(MONICA looks across the room.)

MONICA: Don?

PIPER: Oh, is that his name?

MONICA: He’s been coming in every evening for the last week. He usually just gets a Shirley Temple, and sometimes we chat.

PIPER: I think somebody likes you. (A red blush creeps into MONICA’s cheeks.) Go on, enjoy yourself!

(MONICA looks over at DON and smiles. DON catches it and smiles back. MONICA looks at PIPER.)

MONICA: I really appreciate this, Piper. (She walks over to DON’s table and they exchange a few words, then they move onto the crowded dance floor. LEO takes a seat on the empty bar stool and PIPER leans towards him.)

PIPER: They look kind of cute together, don’t they?

(LEO looks PIPER in the eyes.)

LEO: The only thing I want to look at tonight is you. (PIPER smiles and they share a kiss.)

[Scene: 415 Magazine. PRUE's office. PRUE and MATT are eating take out and looking through the photos of ASHLEY JUDD.]

PRUE: I’m really, really sorry about the photo shoot, Matt. I woke up kind of late, and then Cole came in with some information and we got attacked.

MATT: Prue, I understand. You have nothing to be sorry about. The pictures were taken and Avalon was saved. I say we deserve to have the rest of the night work free.

[Scene: P3. PAIGE walks in and makes her way towards the bar. She sees PIPER and LEO and walks over and takes a seat. She catches their look towards each other.]

PAIGE: What's with the lovey dovey-ness all of a sudden?

(PIPER gives her a look, but smiles.)

PIPER: What do you mean all of a sudden?

PAIGE: Last night and tonight.

LEO: You just haven't been watching us, that's all.

(PAIGE makes a face.)

PAIGE: Eww..

(PIPER brings PAIGE a mineral water.)

PAIGE: Thanks. So, you guys don't mind if I stay here for the night, right?

PIPER: Of course not, Paige. You can keep Leo company while I work.

[Scene: Manor. PHOEBE's room. COLE is lying on the bed without a shirt on and PHOEBE is lying next to him with her head on him and stroking his chest.]

COLE: What's wrong?

PHOEBE: Nothing, it's just been a long, stressful day. I mean, that premonition I had felt so real and after also losing Prue before, I couldn't stand it. And then you left to help them and I felt so useless.

COLE: Phoebe, you are not useless. It was your premonition that made sure Prue wouldn't die.

PHOEBE: She almost did. You brought her back and she was bleeding so much... (PHOEBE sniffles and starts to cry.)

COLE: But she didn't die. Matt was there to make sure nothing too bad happened to her, Phoebe. You saved her. It was because of your strength in handling your powers that you saved Prue and Avalon.

(PHOEBE looks up at COLE and he bends his head down and kisses PHOEBE.)

COLE: Let's not worry about that anymore. (COLE kisses her again.)
