Destiny Takes A Halliwell, Part One Teaser[/center] [Scene: Manor. Attic. PHOEBE HALLIWELL is sitting on a worn sofa with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders. The Book of Shadows is in her lap, and the cordless phone is to her ear. Her skin is pale and her head is beaded with sweat, causing strings of her brown hair to stick to her wet face. Her lips are dry and chapped, and as she leafs through the pages of The Book, she shivers. The voice of PHOEBE’s boyfriend, COLE TURNER, filters from the phone.][/b] COLE’s VOICE: You don’t sound any better. Are you sure you don’t want me or one of your sisters to come home? PHOEBE: (weakly) No, Cole…I said I’m fine! (Suddenly, she breaks into a coughing fit.)COLE’s VOICE: That doesn’t sound fine to me, Phoebe. PHOEBE: (weakly) I’m a big girl, Cole. I can take care of myself. (She turns another page which reads, “To Promote Self Healing.”) Uh, actually, I need to go right now. COLE’s VOICE: Phoebe- PHOEBE: I’m going to go take a hot bath. (She slides The Book off her lap and climbs to her feet, holding the arm of the couch to help her stand.) Love you, bye! (She hangs up and closes her eyes, breathing in deeply. She drops the phone onto the sofa, grabs The Book, and hauls it over to its post.) “Mix eucalyptus leaves, rose petals, thyme, and peppermint in Epsom salt and wrap in cheesecloth…” (She draws her hand down to the bottom of the page.) “Call upon the goddesses of the sea to help heal you – Isis, Mary, and Yemaya.” (She taps the page with her index finger.) I hope this works! [Scene: P3. Backroom. The door is shut and LEO WYATT and PIPER HALLIWELL are in the middle of an argument. PIPER is waving papers in front of him and LEO is shooing them away.]LEO: No! I won’t finalize the deal on the house until you tell your sisters about your plan to bind your powers! PIPER: I’m going to tell them- LEO: (interrupting) No. (He grabs the papers from her hand and shakes his head.) It’s not right to keep them in the dark about this. I already agreed to this, but I won’t go any further unless you’re upfront with them about this first. It doesn’t just affect us, it affects everyone! (He glares.) You know I’m right. (PIPER sits down in the chair in front of her desk.)PIPER: (relenting) I have every intention of telling them, Leo. I just…I don’t know how yet. LEO: Well, here’s your chance to think about it. (He motions his hand.) Just sit back here and relax. Maybe go to the spa or get your hair done. (He shrugs.) I’ll take care of the club today. You just focus on breaking this to your sisters and once you’ve got it settled with them, then we can focus on (he holds up the papers) moving into our house. (PIPER looks up with a small smile on her face.)PIPER: Our house. (She wipes the corner of her eye.) I like the sound of that. (LEO smiles too.)[Scene: MATT’s apartment. Kitchen. MATTHEW CAPIELLO is flipping pancakes in a red frying pan. PRUDENCE HALLIWELL walks up behind him and wraps her arms around his waist. MATT smiles and turns his head to meet his girlfriend for a sweet kiss.]MATT: How’d you sleep? (PRUE grins.)PRUE: It was definitely better than the couch. (She steps to the side where a plate of previously made pancakes are sitting in a stack. She breaks a piece off with her fingers and puts it in her mouth.)MATT: Tasty? PRUE: Very. (MATT glances over at PRUE again. She’s wearing a long white t-shirt.)MATT: Is that my shirt? PRUE: Maybe. (She does a playful twirl.) Does it look good? (MATT smirks.)MATT: I think it looks better now than when I first bought it. (PRUE grabs another piece of the pancake and eats it.)PRUE: You know, I think I could get used to this. (She grabs for another bite of the pancake, not noticing MATT’s frown from behind.)[Scene: Downtown San Francisco. 460 Palm Road. PAIGE’s green VW Bug pulls up in front of a small yellow and white house. PAIGE MATTHEWS and HENRY MITCHELL get out of the car. PAIGE doesn’t look happy as they move up the walkway.]HENRY: I’ve been dealing with kids like these for years, Paige! I know what I’m talking about! PAIGE: So have I! (She glares.) And just because they’ve been in trouble doesn’t mean that they can’t turn out okay. They just need guidance; someone to show them what they’re really capable of. (They walk onto the porch and PAIGE rings the doorbell.)HENRY: And sometimes they just need a good hard dose of reality! PAIGE: You just don’t understand. HENRY: (angrily) No, I think I understand perfectly. (He glares.) You’re letting your personal experiences cloud your judgment. (PAIGE’s mouth drops open in shock and anger. She sharply turns to him.)PAIGE: How dare you even insinuate- (The door opens, revealing a haggard looking woman holding the hand of a small boy. PAIGE and HENRY both freeze, clearly not having been expected to be caught right in the middle of their argument.)[Scene: Manor. Upstairs bathroom. PHOEBE is dressed in a white terrycloth bathrobe. She is standing at the sink, lighting a white candle in an aromatherapy burner which has a few drops of water in the top. She then picks up a small green bottle with the label, “Eucalyptus Oil”, and allows two drops of the oil to fall into the top of the burner with the water. PHOEBE grabs a small white cheesecloth sack, tied with a white cord, and then disrobes as she climbs into the hot, sudsy water.]PHOEBE: “Goddesses of the mighty sea, Isis, Yemaya, Mary, Aid me in my sickly plea, Help me to wash away this plaguing wary.” (PHOEBE opens her hand and drops the cheesecloth sack into the hot bath, allowing it to disappear under the fluffy white suds. The bathroom mirror starts to steam up and PHOEBE places her hands on the sides of the white bathtub and closes her eyes, beginning to nod off. Her fingers loosen and she starts to slip under the steaming water. Her knuckles begin to turn white as she suddenly grips the sides of the tub.)[Premonition: There is a flash of THE SOURCE. A flash of PHOEBE gasping for breath as she flies across the room. And finally, a flash of fire hitting PHOEBE’s body and tuning her to a pile of ash.]
[Cut to the present. PHOEBE shoots up from the bathtub. Her hands move to her throat as she coughs and gasps for breath.]

{SCENE: The song “Born To Try”, written by Delta Goodrem and Audius Mtawarira and sung by Delta Goodrem, is heard as stock shots of San Francisco are shown while the Guest Credits are rolled.}
Act One
[Scene: P3. Bar. LEO is wiping up the counter when PIPER and MONICA SINCLAIR suddenly emerge from the back. PIPER is at MONICA’s heels.]PIPER: (to MONICA) Oh, and don’t forget that the manager for The All-American Rejects is supposed to be coming to see us tonight and- LEO: Piper! (He shimmies out from behind the bar and grabs his wife by the arm, stopping her from chasing after MONICA.)MONICA: Hey, don’t worry about it, Piper. You’ve reminded me several times this week. (She does a mock solute.) I promise not to forget! (PIPER sighs, smiling.)PIPER: I’m sorry, I’m just… (MONICA laughs.)MONICA: Don’t worry about it. My sister-in-law went through the same worrywart phase when she was pregnant. (She waves it off.) I’m sure it’s normal. (PIPER nods.) Anyway, I’ve got to go so I can go restock the bottled waters backstage. (She waves to LEO.) Bye! (She leaves. LEO frowns.)LEO: Piper, what are you still doing here? I thought you were going to go relax? PIPER: Well, I was going to and then I got into the car and I started thinking… (She digs into her pocket and pulls out a napkin with blue ink scribbles on it. She hands it to LEO.)LEO: What’s this? PIPER: Names. LEO: Names? PIPER: You know, baby names. (She and LEO walk over to the bar and she climbs into a barstool.) I know we already settled on Melinda, but we still need a middle name. And… (She bites her lip.) We need to decide on a last name, too. You know, Halliwell or Wyatt or a hyphenation or- LEO: (interrupting) “Victoria”? (PIPER shakes her head.)PIPER: Huh? (LEO wags the napkin.)LEO: You wrote down, “Victoria.” (He runs his finger down the napkin.) “Patricia, Penelope, Charlotte…” PIPER: Well, yeah. Mom, Grams, Melinda Warren’s mother, and… (She points to “Victoria.”) My dad. (LEO sits down next to his wife and frowns.)LEO: Piper, these are all from your family. PIPER: I know- LEO: What about Christopher? (PIPER stares at him blankly.)PIPER: Christopher? (LEO nods. PIPER holds up her hand.) Wait, let me get this straight, you want to name our daughter, a girl, a boy’s name? And… (She frowns.) After our latest innocent, no less? LEO: No! Piper, Christopher was my father’s name. (He slides the napkin over to his wife.) And I meant, if we can suggest naming her after your father, then why not mine? (He slides off the barstool and slips behind the counter, where he grabs a pen from the counter and scribbles “Christina” onto the bottom of the napkin in black ink. PIPER stares at the name and then slowly nods.)PIPER: I guess I just didn’t think… (Her voice trails off in thought, only to be interrupted by the ringing of the telephone. LEO picks it up.)LEO: (into the phone) P3, Leo Wyatt speaking. ( His face pales a little as he covers the mouthpiece.)PIPER: Who is it? LEO: It’s Phoebe. (He puts the phone to his ear again.) We’ll be right there. [Time lapse. PHOEBE is sitting in the sunroom on one of the whicker chairs in her pajamas with her legs pulled up to her chest, a blanket around her shoulders, and a cup of hot chicken noodle soup in her hands. She has her head leaning over the steam that’s coming from the cup. Her face looks less pale than earlier, but her eyes are red and she’s still shivering, but not quite as much. LEO is sitting in the chair opposite PHOEBE with only a white wicker table separating them, which the cordless phone is sitting on, and PIPER is pacing back and forth in front of the large windows.]PIPER: (muttering) Today of all days to take on The Source of All Evil. LEO: (to PHOEBE) Was there anything else in your vision that might help us pinpoint when this is supposed to take place? (PHOEBE shakes her head.)PHOEBE: All I saw was myself being turned to ash by The Source. PIPER: (upset) Phoebe, please! (PHOEBE sets her cup of soup down.)PHOEBE: When did you call Prue and Paige? PIPER: (snappily) I already told you, Prue is on her way here and I left a message on Paige’s voicemail. PHOEBE: I was just asking! (PIPER stops pacing and turns to PHOEBE, breathing heavily.)PIPER: I’m sorry. (She sighs and sits down next to LEO.) I don’t mean to take anything out on you, Pheebs. (She lightly rubs her index fingers to her temples.) I’m just so… PHOEBE: I understand. (She smiles weakly and then leans over as far as she can and pats PIPER’s knee.) It’ll be okay, it always... (pause) everything happens for a reason, right? So maybe we were meant to face The Source today so we could take him out while we still have the Power of Four at our fingertips? PIPER: (quietly) Yeah… PHOEBE: And then that way, you and Leo can raise my niece in a Source-free world, right? PIPER: The Source is the equivalent of a magical mob boss, Phoebe. As soon as we take him out, another one will take his place. We’ll never live in a Source-free world. (PHOEBE leans back in her chair. The sound of the front door opening can be heard.)PRUE’s VOICE: (frantically) Phoebe! Phoebe, are you alright? Where are you? PHOEBE: (hollering) We’re in the sunroom! (PRUE walks in and as she sees PHOEBE, she breaths a sigh of relief.)PRUE: Thank god you’re okay. (She moves to PHOEBE and gives her a tight hug.) Where’s Paige? PIPER: South Bay said she was making a stop at one of the houses of the children she’s been assigned and that she wouldn’t be back for an hour. LEO: Piper left her a voicemail, but she hasn’t called back. PRUE: (to LEO) But you can tell she’s okay. LEO: She’s fine right now. (PRUE sits down.)PHOEBE: So what do we do? PRUE: We stop The Source before he can stop us. PIPER: And how do we do that? (PRUE reaches into her pocket and pulls out a piece of paper.)PHOEBE: Is that a vanquishing spell? (PRUE nods.) For The Source? PRUE: Yes. PIPER: Can I see that? (PRUE hands The Source Vanquishing Spell over to PIPER. PIPER looks it over.) It isn’t a Power of Three spell? PRUE: No, it’s a spell to call on the magic of the entire Warren line. We might as well use the Power of Four while we still have it, right? PIPER: Apparently you and Phoebe think more alike than you know. (PRUE and PHOEBE share looks.)PRUE: (to PHOEBE) What’s she talking about? PHOEBE: (to PRUE) I pretty much said the exact same thing right before you walked in. (PRUE takes a moment to study PHOEBE. She places her hand to PHOEBE’s forehead and looks shocked.)PRUE: Oh my god, you’re burning up! (She fans her hand next to PHOEBE’s face.) Have your symptoms gotten worse in the last two days? PIPER: I thought she looked a little less pale. PRUE: But she feels hotter than she did yesterday! (She wiggles her fingers.) Here, come feel. (PIPER gets up and moves to PHOEBE, also placing her hand to her head.) See? (PIPER shakes her head.)PIPER: (to PHOEBE) You’re in no condition to take on The Source! PHOEBE: Which is probably why he’s after me, which gives me all the more reason to want to take him out. (She leans around PIPER and snatches up the vanquishing spell. She nods as she looks over it.) It looks good. (The phone rings. PIPER grabs it.)PIPER: (into the phone) Hello? (She covers the mouthpiece.) It’s Paige. (She pulls her hand away.) No, but we need you over here. (pause) No. Now. PAIGE’s VOICE: Now? Piper, I have a court case in twenty minutes- PIPER: (interrupting) We have to vanquish The Source. PAIGE’s VOICE: (shocked) Wh-what? PIPER: We’ll explain everything when you get here. Bye. (She hangs up and sets the phone back on the whicker table.)PHOEBE: (sarcastically) Well, that was a nice way of breaking it to her. [Scene: Underworld. THE ORACLE’s lair. THE ORACLE is running her fingers over her smoky crystal ball. A tower of flames emerge, followed by the hooded SOURCE.]THE SOURCE: Is your vision still the same, Oracle? (THE ORACLE looks up with a smile on her red lips.)THE ORACLE: Yes. (pause) Are you sure that your strength is back to its full power? (In a flash, THE SOURCE grabs THE ORACLE by the neck and dangles her above the floor. She gasps.)THE SOURCE: Are you questioning me, Oracle? (THE ORACLE shakes her head and he lets her drop back to her rock slab. She rubs the bony red handprint on her neck and stares at the hooded demon.) Remember your place. (He flames out. THE ORACLE gets up and looks into her ball again.)THE ORACLE: Be careful not to burn your bridges…you need me more than you know. [Scene: MATT’s apartment. Bedroom. MATT is sitting cross legged on the bed with the spirit board in front of him and a pencil and notepad in his hand. The words “Today is the” scrawled across the paper. The pointer on the board moves to “D,” then “A”, and finally “Y”.]MATT: Is it still Phoebe? (The pointer moves up to the top corner of the board to the word “Yes”. MATT’s hand starts to shake as he sets the pad and pencil to the side and pushes the Ouija board out of his way.)BREAK

Act Two [Scene: South Bay Social Services. PAIGE’s cubicle. HENRY is standing there with the phone to his ear, gazing at the framed photographs on PAIGE's desk. One is of PAIGE and her sisters, one of her adoptive parents, one of PAIGE’s adoptive AUNT JULIE in the arms of PAIGE’s adoptive UNCLE DAVE, one is of GLENN BELLAND and PAIGE, and then there is one of PAIGE and HENRY. He listens to the phone ring and then PAIGE’s voicemail picks up.][/b] PAIGE’s VOICE: You’ve reached Paige, but I’m busy right now, so leave a message and I’ll get back to you soon! HENRY: Paige, it’s Henry…again. Look, we need to talk. I know we both said things earlier, and I just wanted you to know that I’m sorry. I didn’t mean them, Paige, and it was wrong of me to say them. (He sighs.) Just please, call me back. (HENRY hangs up and reaches for the framed photograph of him and PAIGE. It was taken at an ice cream shop where both of them have melting ice cream cones in their hands. He smiles slightly at the memory.)[Cut to inside PAIGE’s VW Bug. PAIGE’s cell phone is sitting in the passenger seat. A red light is blinking and the words “3 New Messages” are visible in the LCD screen.]
[Scene: Manor. Sunroom. LEO, PIPER, PHOEBE, and PRUE are talking. PAIGE orbs in looking flustered.]PAIGE: Okay, I’m here, so this better be good. (She sits down and crosses one leg over the other, waiting for her sisters to explain their latest crisis to her.)PRUE: (sarcastically) Oh, this is better than good, Paige, it’s great! (She glares.) You know that ultimate evil we’ve been fighting? The one who possessed your friend Glenn that night you met us? The same one who sends all his minions after us day in and day out, and of course the one who tries to destroy the world as we know it every week- (PAIGE waves her hand impatiently, already tired of PRUE’s patronizing tone.)PAIGE: (snappily) Yes, yes, the very source of all evil from which his name is derived…I know the one, get on with the point. (PHOEBE raises her hand.)PHOEBE: He’s going to try and kill me. (She shrugs.) Not that he hasn’t already, but this time he wants to give us a personal visit. (She rolls her eyes.) I guess getting his butt kicked last time wasn’t enough for him. LEO: (warningly) It’s cocky attitudes like that, which can get you killed. (He wags his index finger.) You know you barely escaped with your life last time, Phoebe. That aerobatic electrocution would’ve killed you had Paige fallen for his trap. PHOEBE: Yes, but she didn’t and I didn’t, and here we are, living to fight another day. LEO: But you can’t always count on that. Life, as you should know, is unpredictable. PHOEBE: Leo, I have faith in us…in our powers. It’s our destiny to fight The Source. We’re the most powerful witches of all time. I know that we’ll prevail. LEO: Destiny isn’t always sound. (He motions to PAIGE.) You can never be too sure about anything, as meeting Paige already proves. [Scene: Underworld. THE ORACLE’s lair. THE ORACLE is staring at an image of MATT moving around his apartment with a flushed face, packing things into boxes. She tilts her head to the side as MATT’s face becomes a close up and she can see his red eyes and tear stained face.]THE ORACLE: Are you leaving now? (She lightly bites her lower lip as she watches MATT load up a box of kitchen utensils.) So why did you come into their lives if you’re only going to leave now. (She purses her lips as smoke fills the crystal ball and then an image of PRUE materializes.) And what makes you so important to him, Prudence? [Cut to PRUE. She snaps her fingers, prompting her sisters, minus Phoebe, to all stand up. Phoebe trys to stand with much difficulty.]PRUE: Spit spot! (to PIPER) Crystals. (to PHOEBE) We need a Source Summoning Spell. (She claps her hands.) C’mon, to the attic. Pronto. (She leaves.)PAIGE: Ya think she’s a little anxious or what? (When she gets no response, she also leaves, followed by her two sisters and LEO.)[Scene: Harper and Lee. Conference room. COLE is dressed in a nice black suit and tie, along with a throng of other business-dressed men. He’s talking with them and shaking several of their hands. One by one, the men begin to leave until COLE is all alone in the room with several stacks and folders of legal documents sitting on the large table in front of him. He grabs his briefcase and throws it onto the table, opens it, and begins to neatly place the documents inside. Behind him, a tower of flames rise up and form into THE SOURCE. COLE freezes, but doesn’t turn around. He straightens a little and then spins around, readying an energy ball and hurling it into THE SOURCE’s chest.]
[Scene: Manor. Attic. PRUE, PIPER, PHOEBE, LEO, and PAIGE are all there. PAIGE is sitting on the worn sofa, looking over the vanquishing spell.]PAIGE: “Patricia, Penelope, Prudence, Melinda.” (She looks up.) I like how it’s daughter-mother, daughter-mother there. (PRUE nods.)PRUE: I thought it would bring more power to the spell if they were named first. PAIGE: Are the other four names just people from the family tree? PRUE: Actually, they're names of ancestors we've found that have been mentioned in the Book of Shadows. (PAIGE nods.)PAIGE: So how are we going to do this? Are we just planning on summoning him to us? (PHOEBE closes The Book of Shadows and holds up a tablet with a handwritten spell.)PHOEBE: It’s better than waiting for him to come after us, or rather me, first. (She holds up the spell.) I'm done with the summoning spell, by the way. (She passes it to PAIGE.) It's pretty catchy if you ask me. (PRUE glances over PAIGE's shoulder.)PRUE: You reworded the power summoning spell? (PAIGE smirks.)PAIGE: “Source” instead of “course.” (PHOEBE flashes a little grin and then looks over at PIPER, who’s bent down positing five white crystals on the floor.)PHOEBE: Is the cage almost done, Piper? (PIPER stands up.)PIPER: Yeah. (She gazes down at the crystals.) Done. (She unconsciously moves her hand to her stomach and bites her bottom lip a little as she moves over to PHOEBE. PRUE and PAIGE follow, and the four Charmed Ones take hands. PHOEBE notices that PIPER’s hand is shaking and she squeezes it.)PHOEBE: (whispering to PIPER) It’ll be over soon. (PIPER looks over at LEO, who gives her a nod that goes unnoticed by the other three women.)PIPER: (calmly) After we do this, there’s something I need to talk to you about. (PRUE looks a little surprised.)PRUE: All of us? PIPER: Yes. PAIGE: Well, what are we waiting for? (They all take in hollow breaths.)PHOEBE: “Po-” COLE’s VOICE: Phoebe! (PHOEBE stops and looks towards the door. Her eyes flit from PRUE, to PAIGE, and finally to PIPER, who gives her a silent nod and slips her shaky hand from PHOEBE’s. PHOEBE runs to the attic door just as COLE walks in. She throws her arms around him.)PHOEBE: What are you doing here? (She notices a ripped piece of fabric on the arm of his suit and a nasty, bloody burn on his bare flesh.) Oh my god, what happened?! (COLE kisses PHOEBE’s forehead.)COLE: The Source. (He looks over PHOEBE’s shoulders, eyeing the other three sisters and LEO.) I was attacked at work. I fought him off but… (His eyes flick to the wound on his arm. PHOEBE gingerly touches it.)PHOEBE: You need to get that fixed. PRUE: Phoebe! (COLE tilts his head to the side.)COLE: What’re you doing? (PHOEBE looks warily back at her sisters and then to her boyfriend.)PHOEBE: We’re summoning The Source. COLE: (shocked) What? (He sees the crystal cage.) You think you can contain him in that? PHOEBE: We don’t have a choice. I had a premonition. (She shivers and COLE wraps his arms around her.) I saw him kill me. (PRUE, PIPER, and PAIGE share looks. PHOEBE looks back at them.) I’ll be right back. (She gently pushes COLE away from the attic.) You need to get this- COLE: I’ll be alright. PHOEBE: (firmly) No. (She swallows hard.) I need to talk to you anyway. (They walk down the hallway to the upstairs bathroom, where PHOEBE digs under the sink and pulls out a first aid kid and a bottle of peroxide. COLE sits down on the toilet seat and takes off his jacket.)COLE: You don’t have to do this- PHOEBE: You’re hurt- COLE: I mean summon The Source. (PHOEBE dabs COLE’s wound with a cotton swab coated with peroxide. The wound sizzles with white foam.)PHOEBE: The Source isn’t just a threat to me and my sisters, Cole. He’s a threat to good magic everywhere. (She dabs COLE’s wound and he slightly winces.) And that includes future witches, like my niece. (She smiles sadly.) If we don’t do this now, there’s no telling if we’ll ever get another shot, especially when The Elders are already warning us that our powers could short circuit again any time. We need to act while we have the power. COLE: You could be killed. PHOEBE: I face being killed every day. (She bites her lip as she tosses the swab into the trash and removes the cap on some ointment.) Hell, I’ve been killed before! More than once, actually. COLE: But that was different. You weren’t facing The Source then, Phoebe. PHOEBE: I was facing agents of The Source and, as far as I’m concerned, they’re all just little parts of him. (She spreads the clear jelly ointment over COLE’s burn.) And now I want to kill the whole thing. (She starts to wrap his wound in gauze. COLE places his hand on her hand, stopping her.)COLE: I can’t lose you, Phoebe. (PHOEBE leans close to COLE and places her hand to his heart.)PHOEBE: You’ll never lose me. (Their lips meet in a passionate kiss. Suddenly, her eyes flash open as she feels a hand on her throat and she realizes they are no longer in the bathroom, but in her bedroom. She gasps.) C-C-ole! (COLE’s body drops to the ground and THE SOURCE steps out of him, still dangling PHOEBE above the floor by her throat.)BREAK

Act Three [Scene: Manor. PHOEBE’s bedroom. PHOEBE is dangling above the ground, clawing at a bony yellow hand that is wrapped tightly around her throat, cutting off her ability to breath. Her eyes are wide as she stares back at THE SOURCE. In a flash, he throws her across the room and she gasps for breath as he summons a blazing fireball to his hand. As PHOEBE attempts to dodge out of the way, the fireball suddenly freezes just centimeters from her. PHOEBE looks up to see her sisters in the doorway.][/b] PAIGE: Fireball! (The fireball dissolves into a cloud of orbs and reappears above her hand as THE SOURCE spins around.)Thanks, but no thanks! (She thrusts out her hand, sending the fiery projectile into THE SOURCE, causing him to stumble backwards.)PRUE: Paige, the crystals! (PAIGE orbs out as PRUE flings out her arm, barely pushing THE SOURCE with her power. THE SOURCE laughs.)THE SOURCE: Parlor tricks. (He points his bony finger towards PIPER’s flat stomach.) Going for round two already? (He twists his hand and another fireball appears. PIPER’s eyes blaze as she raises her hands.)PIPER: Go to hell! (THE SOURCE explodes into a burst of swarming black particles as PAIGE orbs back in with the five crystals in her arms. PRUE runs to PHOEBE and helps her up.)PHOEBE: (weakly) H-how did you know? PRUE: We didn’t think that The Source would’ve given up on Cole (she glances over at COLE’s unconscious body on the floor) that easily. Besides, why would The Source have attacked Cole first, only to flee? It didn’t make any sense. (PHOEBE shakes her head.)PHOEBE: How could I have been so stu- (Her eyes widen as a swarm of black particles form behind PAIGE.) Paige! (PHOEBE dives at PAIGE, knocking her to the ground and scattering the five crystals all over the room. THE SOURCE raises his arm and sends PRUE flying into the wall, her back cracking against a framed picture on the wall. The sickening sound of shattering glass fills the room as PRUE slides to the floor, leaving a small trail of blood and glass on the wallpaper behind her. PIPER motions her hands again, but THE SOURCE spins to the side with supernatural agility and she ends up making PHOEBE’s closet door explode.)PAIGE: Crystals! (One by one, the crystals on the floor begin to orb out and PAIGE pushes her hand in the direction of THE SOURCE.) Circle! (THE SOURCE raises his bony yellow arm and the swarm of orbs coming at him reverses direction and flies towards PAIGE and PHOEBE, orbing in around them and erecting a force field. He summons another fireball to his palm and raises it towards PIPER, flinging it directly at her abdomen. A shower of orbs culminates in between the fireball and PIPER, forming into LEO. LEO’s face contorts and he lets out a pained cry as the fireball connects with his body, causing him to explode into a shower of bright blue lights.)PIPER: (gasping) Leo! (Across the room, PRUE’s eyes weakly open and she squints, causing one of the crystals around PHOEBE and PAIGE to move ever so slightly from its place, making a small scraping noise and then deactivating the force field. PHOEBE jumps to her feet and runs at THE SOURCE’s back, jumping into a levitating kick. However, as she gets two feet into the air she suddenly falls to the ground as if her levitation is failing.)PHOEBE: No! (She winces as she tries to get back up.) Not now! (PIPER throws out her hands again, making THE SOURCE explode into a wicked shower of black particles. LEO reappears on the floor, breathing heavily.)LEO: G-get to the attic b-be-fore he reforms. PAIGE: I’ll get Prue. You guys get the crystals. (PAIGE moves to PRUE’s side and leans down, wrapping her arm around her oldest sister and then allowing PRUE’s arm to drape over her own shoulders for support. They orb out. PIPER helps PHOEBE to her feet and they hurriedly grab the five crystals. As they move to leave, PIPER looks back at LEO.)LEO: Go! I’ll be fine. (PIPER leaves and LEO weakly turns his head to COLE, who’s still unconscious on the floor.)[Cut to the attic. PAIGE is patting PRUE’s face gently, but PRUE’s head is hanging very limply and her breathing is shallow. PHOEBE runs in, looking quite sick and pale, almost with a green tinge. PIPER runs in right after and together, PIPER and PHOEBE set up the white crystals in the middle of the attic, except for one. They move to PRUE and PAIGE and PIPER takes PRUE’s other side, supporting her big sister as PHOEBE takes PIPER’s free hand.]PHOEBE: “Powers of all evil rise!” PIPER: “The Source unseen across the skies.” PAIGE: “Come to us who call you near.” (PIPER lightly shakes PRUE.)PIPER: Prue, come on… (PRUE looks up, her expression hard and determined despite her impaired physical state.)PRUE: (weakly) “Come to us and settle (she coughs) here!” (A twinkle of white lights erupt in the center of the room and between them, black particles emerge and start to compose themselves into THE SOURCE. PHOEBE weakly tosses the crystal in her hand to PAIGE and PAIGE darts across the room just as THE SOURCE fully materializes. She looks up at him with cold eyes and slams the crystal in place, constituting the force field around their ultimate foe. PRUE’s eyes close and she leans limply into PIPER.)PIPER: (screaming) Leo! [Time lapse. LEO is there and PRUE is now healed, but PHOEBE still looks as bad off, or possibly even worse, than she did before. Small shocks are ringing through the attic as THE SOURCE hurls fireball after fireball against the crystal cage, causing the force field to spring up and void his magic. PAIGE and PIPER are also there.]PAIGE: Are we ready to finish this? PIPER: (firmly) Yes. (LEO suddenly looks to the ceiling. PIPER’s mouth drops open.) PIPER: Leo- LEO: They’re calling me. PIPER: But you can’t go, not now. (LEO shakes his head.)LEO: I have to. PHOEBE: But we need you here. (pause) What if something goes wrong? LEO: I can’t. They’re…saying I have to go now. (PRUE looks at PIPER.)PRUE: Then we’ll wait. (LEO looks up to the ceiling again and shakes his head.)LEO: No. They want you to go ahead with the vanquish. PAIGE: (shocked) What? LEO: They say that They need me now, but that you need to go ahead with the vanquish without me. PIPER: (stubbornly) Why? LEO: Because there aren’t many chances like this. PIPER: So why can’t They wait? LEO I…I don’t know. (He moves to PIPER and kisses her softly on the cheek.) They’ll take me by force if I don’t go now. (After a beat, PIPER nods and LEO orbs out. The sisters exchange confused and worried looks, then they turn their attention back to THE SOURCE.)PHOEBE: It’s now or never. (With as much confidence as they can muster, they take hands. PRUE and PIPER stand in the middle with PAIGE taking PRUE’s hand on the end and PHOEBE taking PIPER’s hand on the other end, just like before.)PAIGE: “Patricia, Penelope, Prudence, Melinda!” (Wind starts to pick up in the attic, causing the sisters' hair to fly in their faces. Then it turns into a tornado-type funnel surrounding THE SOURCE.)PHOEBE: “Astrid, Helena, Laura, and Grace!” (A blazing ring of flames erupts around THE SOURCE, which grows more prevalent due to the raging funnel of wind.)PIPER: “Warren witches stand stro-” MATT’s VOICE: No! Don’t! (The sisters look to the door just in time to see MATT run in, dash across the room, and push PIPER to the ground, stopping her from finishing her line of the spell. As PIPER hits the ground, PRUE’s blue eyes blaze as MATT stands up. PRUE storms up to MATT and shoves him, but not enough to knock him off his feet.)PRUE: (yelling) Are you out of your mind?! (PHOEBE and PAIGE go and help PIPER to her feet.)MATT: I’m sorry, it was the only thing I could do! PRUE: (softening) Shoving my sister like that…you could have hurt the baby. MATT: I’m sorry Prue, I was just trying to save your sister’s life. PHOEBE: What? PRUE: (angrily to MATT) In case you didn’t notice, we have things under control. We were just about to vanquish The Source. MATT: That’s just it, if you had, the explosion from the vanquish would have killed one of your sisters. PAIGE: (confused) Who? MATT: Phoebe, she’s the one that had the premonition of dying. PRUE: Which we already avoided. We saved her from The Source’s attack. MATT: But that wasn't the cause of her premonition, this was. PRUE: Matt, you’re not making any sense. How would you know that? You don’t have the power of premonition…Do you? MATT: No, but... PRUE: (agitated) So then how do you know? MATT: I just do…I can’t really explain right now. PRUE : Well try! MATT: I can’t. (pause) Not without putting people in danger. PAIGE: In danger from who? (Silence.)MATT: I can’t, I’m sorry. (pause) Prue look at me, you just need to trust me. You can’t vanquish The Source today, at least not like this. PRUE: Then how? MATT: I don’t know. PRUE: Matt, that cage isn’t going to be able to contain him forever. This is The Source of All Evil we’re talking about! If we don’t vanquish him now, there’s no telling when we’ll get another chance like this. So unless you can give us a better answer than “I can’t” or “I don’t know,” some kind of actual proof that this is anything more than a hunch. (She pauses. MATT looks down.) Then you can either try and help with a protection spell, or you can get out of here. But we are vanquishing The Source. (MATT takes a slow step towards PRUE.)MATT: (quietly) Prue, I’m really sorry about this. (PRUE and MATT look into each other’s eyes. Suddenly MATT strikes PRUE, sending her sprawling away. Her sisters are stunned. MATT conjures a smoke grenade and tosses it along the floor near PAIGE, PIPER, and PHOEBE. PIPER instinctively raises her hand and freezes it as PAIGE and PHOEBE dodge out of the way.) PAIGE: Paige, get it out of here! PAIGE: Where? PIPER: Anywhere but here! (MATT conjures a gun as PAIGE raises her arm.)PAIGE: Smoke grenade! (She motions towards the windows.) Windows! (A trail of orbs flies at the windows and crashes through them, flying outside. MATT fires at the nearest crystal shattering it just as PRUE is getting up. PRUE waves her arm, sending MATT sailing across the room and crashing into the wall, knocking the gun from his hands.)PRUE: You son of a- PHOEBE: Prue! (PRUE turns to narrowly deflect a fireball thrown at her by THE SOURCE. As PRUE is distracted by the attack, MATT gets to his feet and heads towards the exit. He looks back toward the battle. Dejected, he looks back towards PRUE and mouths, “Sorry.” MATT leaves. THE SOURCE, weakened by his near vanquish, flames out.)BREAK

Act Four [Scene: Underworld. THE ORACLE’s lair. THE ORACLE is lying on her stone slab, staring into her crystal ball where she’s watching an image of MATT walking into 415 Magazine with a paper clipped between his fingers.][/b] THE ORACLE: Well, well, well…you are just full of surprises, aren’t you Mr. Capiello? [Cut to MATT. He walks up to an office with the name plate “Gil Corso” on the door. He knocks and then opens the door. His boss, MR. CORSO, looks up from his desk. The phone is to his ear but when he sees MATT, he holds up his index finger.]MR. CORSO: (into the phone) Can I call you back, Judy? (pause) Okay, bye. (He hangs up and then motions for MATT to take a seat.) Well, this is a surprise, Mr. Capiello. (He clasps his hands together.) What can I do for you. (MATT doesn’t sit down. He just moves to MR. CORSO’s desk and slides the paper in front of him. MR. CORSO picks it up and starts to look at it.) What’s this? MATT: My letter of resignation. (MR. CORSO looks up, stunned.)MR. CORSO: Matt, I know we’ve had our…differences, but you’re a good employee and- MATT: (cutting in) I’m sorry I’m not giving you two weeks notice, but I’m willing to accept any consequences from that. MR. CORSO: If this is because of the evaluation, the cutbacks, those have already been made and you’re not- MATT: (interrupting) Thank you for your time and patience. It’s been wonderful working for you. (He holds out his hand and after a reluctant moment, MR. CORSO reaches out and shakes MATT’s hand.)MR. CORSO: Thank you, Mr. Capiello. I wish you the best of luck in your future. (MATT leaves.)[Scene: Manor. Attic. PRUE is pacing back and forth as PAIGE hurriedly turns the pages in the Book of Shadows. PRUE’s face has a slight red tinge to it.]PRUE: Bastard! (She raises her arms as PIPER walks in with a cup of tea in each hand.) That bastard! (The attic rattles and a little of the tea in the cups PIPER is holding splashes out.)PIPER: Prue! (PRUE puts down her hands, shocked at herself.)PRUE: I-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean… (PIPER walks over to PHOEBE, who is once again perched on the couch. She has her eyes closed and a damp cloth on her clammy white forehead.)PIPER: (to PHOEBE) Here, drink this. (PHOEBE opens her eyes and weakly takes the cup.)PHOEBE: (whispering) Th-thanks. (She coughs and then takes a sip of the tea before sputtering again.)PAIGE: I say we try the summoning spell again. There’s nothing else in here. (She closes The Book.)PRUE: It hasn’t worked the last two times, so what makes you think it’ll work now? PAIGE: What if we reword it? (PRUE angrily throws the spell at PAIGE.)PRUE: If he’s found a way to protect himself from one, what makes you think he hasn’t found a way to protect himself from all of them? PIPER: Hey! (She steps between PAIGE and PRUE.) We’re not getting anywhere with you two arguing like this. (PAIGE turns away from PRUE and PIPER.)PAIGE: I was only making a suggestion when I got my head bit off. PRUE: I’m only trying to be practical. Why waste our time when we could be trying something else? PIPER: (to PRUE) Good idea. So what other options have you been exploring? (She narrows her eyes.) Except for, of course, pacing back and forth and calling Matt a wide variety of expletives? (PHOEBE starts to get up and PIPER spins around.) Where do you think you’re going? PHOEBE: To check on Cole- PIPER: (interrupting) No! (She sets down her cup and walks over to PHOEBE, pushing her back down on the worn sofa.) He’s sleeping right now, just like you should be. PHOEBE: But I want to- PIPER: (cutting in) You’re in no condition to be up and about yourself, Phoebe. The only reason you’re in here instead of in your room sleeping is because The Source picked today to invite himself over to the Manor and try to kill you. (PHOEBE slumps back in the old cushions and takes another sip of her tea. PRUE turns her head to the ceiling.)PRUE: And where the hell is Leo? Shouldn’t he be back by now? (She starts to pace again.) What’s taking him so long? PIPER: I don’t know. (She sighs.) I called him for three minutes straight while I was downstairs waiting for the water for the tea to heat up but I didn’t get so much as an orb. [Scene: Underworld. THE SOURCE’s lair. THE SOURCE is perched on his throne, with two powerful demons to either side of him. THE ORACLE appears on the floor at his feet, kneeling. THE SOURCE studies her for a moment and then flicks his bony yellow wrist.]THE SOURCE: Rise, Oracle. (THE ORACLE brings herself into a standing position, with her hands wrapped protectively around her crystal ball.)THE ORACLE: Their whitelighter is being detained. (THE SOURCE cocks his head in curiosity.)THE SOURCE: Detained? How so? THE ORACLE: The Elders’ world is blocked from my ability to see, but I do see the perfect opportunity- THE SOURCE: (cutting in) You’ve seen many “opportunities,” Oracle. So far… (His hooded head twists again, this time to the opposite side.) You’ve been nothing but a failure to me. THE ORACLE: I beg to differ, Sire. (She bows respectfully.)THE SOURCE: (angrily) With what? THE ORACLE: (feisty) Avalon. (THE SOURCE snaps his fingers.)THE SOURCE: (to his GUARDS) Leave us! (The GUARDS shimmer out. He rises from his throne and towers over THE ORACLE.) You dare to bring that up! I should kill you- THE ORACLE: You need me. (She stiffs as his hooded face leans close to hers.) If it hadn’t been for me, another demon most certainly would have battled you for power and won. THE SOURCE: But I don’t need you now, do I? THE ORACLE: But where will you ever find another Oracle with such loyalty? THE SOURCE: Demons don’t have loyalties. (THE ORACLE tilts her head to the side, amused.)THE ORACLE: Belthazor. THE SOURCE: Corrupted by his human half. THE ORACLE: Xenon. (THE SOURCE’s bony hand curls and flexes at his side, then he finally takes a step back.)THE SOURCE: What do you see? THE ORACLE: A Charmed One is destined to die today, but the only way for you to take her life, is if you allow them to believe that they are about to take yours. THE SOURCE: And how, Oracle, do you propose we do that? (THE ORACLE leans forward and reaches out for THE SOURCE’s hand, taking it in hers. She lightly pinches one of his long, crooked yellow nails between her fingers and then jerks her hand, causing a snapping sound.)THE ORACLE: I’m going to send you to them on a silver platter…so to speak. (She grins and disappears with her crystal ball in one hand and a piece of THE SOURCE’s yellow nail in the other.)[Scene: Manor. Attic. PHOEBE is lying down on the couch, sleeping. Her chest is rising and falling painfully under the thin blanket that’s covering her. A cold cloth is still covering PHOEBE’s forehead. PIPER is sitting next to PHOEBE, gently stroking her matted and sweat slicked hair. She glances to the ceiling.]PIPER: Leo! (When she receives no answer, she turns promptly to PRUE and PAIGE.) I think something’s very wrong with her. I think we should get her to a hospital if Leo isn’t going to answer us. (She shakes her head.) I’m not so sure this is just some flu anymore. PAIGE: She’s never suffered from high fevers like that before? (PIPER shakes her head.) I’m just wondering because, (she moves over to PHOEBE and PIPER) I used to get fevers like this when I was little. I remember my parents telling me later that there were a few times they really thought they were going to lose me, but it always passed. (Again, PIPER vigorously shakes her head.)PIPER: This has never happened to Phoebe before. [Scene: Underworld. THE ORACLE’s lair. THE ORACLE is standing over a bubbling cauldron. She’s humming as she drops ingredients into the cauldron, then she grabs THE SOURCE’s nail. She drops it in.]THE ORACLE: Snips (she grabs two snails and drops them into the pot) and snails (she reaches for two long, green and scaly things) and lizard tails. (A puff of smoke rises from the pot and she gives it a good, firm stir. Then she pulls out the handle and pours the black, tar-like substance into a clear vial.) Perfect! [Scene: Manor. Attic. PRUE, PIPER, and PAIGE are still talking as they watch PHOEBE sleep.]PRUE: Piper used to have bad fevers when she was little. PIPER: I did? (PRUE nods.)PRUE: It was shortly after Dad left after Phoebe was born, and you were usually pretty out of it, so it’s understandable that you don’t remember. (She moves to her sisters and gazes down at PHOEBE.) But it was never like this. Fevers always hit you full force without warning, they didn’t progress over a period of days like this has with Phoebe. PAIGE: (to PRUE) So you think we should get her to a hospital too? PRUE: If The Source tries to attack again, I don’t think it’ll be in public. (to PAIGE) Can you orb her to the car? PAIGE: Sure. (As PAIGE’s fingertips graze PHOEBE’s shoulder, PHOEBE jolts and her eyes fly out involuntarily, smacking PAIGE’s hand away.)[Premonition: There is a flash of PAIGE picking up a vial with black goo. A flash of black potion breaking on the floor, followed by black smoke rising from the goo and forming into THE SOURCE. A flash of the sisters chanting. And finally, a flash of a mighty explosion as THE SOURCE is vanquished.]
[Cut to the present. PHOEBE awakens with a jolt. PAIGE jumps back, completely taken by surprise. PHOEBE looks around warily.]PIPER: (concerned) Phoebe? PHOEBE: (weakly) Potion. PIPER: Honey, you’re not well. (She moves to press PHOEBE back down, but PHOEBE slaps her away.) The potion! Where is it? (She rigidly moves her head, looking anxiously around the room.)PRUE: What potion, Phoebe? PHOEBE: Black. (She weakly sits up.) Potion. (She tries to sit up.) Paige. (THE ORACLE appears and PRUE immediately catches her presence from the corner of her eye. She spins around and holds out her hand threateningly.)PRUE: Piper! (THE ORACLE raises her hand defensively, revealing the black potion clasped between her fingers.)THE ORACLE: I’ve come to help. PIPER: Liar. (PHOEBE catches sight of the potion and her eyes go wide.)PHOEBE: The potion! (PAIGE, PRUE, and PIPER share looks.)THE ORACLE: You need this if you want to vanquish The Source. PRUE: (to THE ORACLE) Why would we accept help from a demon? The Source’s right hand demon, no less. That’s a novice trap. THE ORACLE: Because your sister is dying and I’m only one of two people who know why. (PAIGE’s eyes harden as they lock onto THE ORACLE’s.)PAIGE: What the hell are you talking about? THE ORACLE: The Source poisoned her and the only way to cure her to is vanquish him. PRUE: Poison? THE ORACLE: The bullets used by your Witch Hunter were tainted with poison fatal to witches. PIPER: Witch Hunters don’t work with good or evil, it’s all the same to them. THE ORACLE: He was tricked. PRUE: I don’t believe you. THE ORACLE: We do have mortals who work on the inside, Prudence. (pause) Have you already forgotten your friend Bane? (PRUE shares a worried look with PIPER.) Your Witch Hunter was given those tainted bullets by one of our men. (She tilts her head to the side.) It times out if you think about it. Her symptoms. (to PRUE) They were meant for you, but you figured a way around that. Unfortunately the effects of your whitelighter’s healing of the physical wound prolonged her life, but it won’t be much longer now…not unless you kill The Source and void his magic. PAIGE: Why would you want to help us kill The Source and save Phoebe? (THE ORACLE’s face hardens.)THE ORACLE: The Source has double crossed me for the last time. (She holds out hand, extending the vial to the sisters. When none of them move she smiles wickedly.) Are you really ready to bet your sister’s life on the chance that I’m lying? (She motions to PHOEBE, who’s hunched over on the couch coughing.) She’s dying and there’s only one way to save her. PRUE: What does that potion do? THE ORACLE: It’s a summoning potion. As I’m sure you know already, he’s shielding himself from your spells. But this... (She holds up the vial.) This will do the job. (After a beat, PAIGE moves across the room and picks up the vial from THE ORACLE’s hand.)THE ORACLE: It’s been a pleasure. (She disappears. PAIGE turns back to her sisters and holds up the vial.)BREAK

Act Five [Scene: Manor. Attic. PAIGE and PRUE are talking.][/b] PAIGE: So, what exactly is she supposed to be making? PRUE: An herbal remedy slash potion which will, hopefully, get Phoebe coherent enough to help us. PAIGE: Doesn’t that fall under the whole personal gain thing? PRUE: Well, for one, we need Phoebe to vanquish The Source and vanquishing him helps everyone, so I think that knocks it off the list for personal gain. But more than that, the tea Piper’s making is completely natural and what ingredients she’s using are the same that people, even non-magical witches, use in simple spells to promote health or strength or what have you. We’re not using it to bend someone’s will or take an unfair advantage, we’re just trying to help Phoebe. (PAIGE nods.)(PIPER walks in with another cup of tea and moves to sit by PHOEBE, who’s muttering incoherently to herself.)PAIGE: What does that have in it? PIPER: Rosemary for cleansing, juniper berries for purification, and allspice for strength. (She hands the drink to PHOEBE.) Come on sweetie, you need to drink this. (PHOEBE pushes the cup away.)PHOEBE: Vanquish. (She shakes her head.) Vanquish, vanquish! PIPER: Phoebe, please. PHOEBE: (violently) No! (She smacks PIPER’s hand, sending the cup and contents flying into the air. PIPER’s hands shoot up and freeze the liquid.)PAIGE: This isn’t working. (She moves to the couch and grabs PHOEBE’s arms, pushing her back. PHOEBE struggles.) I’m sorry Phoebe, but you’ve given us no choice. PIPER: (worriedly) Paige! What are you doing?! (PAIGE pinches the sides of PHOEBE’s jaw as she leans her entire weight on her weak sister.)PAIGE: Tea, to Phoebe! (The frozen tea becomes a trail of orbs which fly into PHOEBE’s open mouth despite her struggles. PAIGE presses PHOEBE’s jaw, causing it to clap shut until PHOEBE swallows the tea, but some does escape down the sides of her mouth and run down her chin. When PHOEBE stops struggling, PAIGE leans back and lets her sister sink into the cushions.) How long do you think it’ll take to start affecting her? (PIPER stares at PHOEBE and then PAIGE, in awe.)PIPER: A few minutes, probably no more than five. (She flicks her attention to her youngest sister.) I can’t believe you just did that! PAIGE: Lets just say that I’m not a stranger to giving sick kids medicine. (She glances at PHOEBE, who seems to be breathing a tiny bit more peacefully.) Granted, usually they’re much smaller and not magical, but still. (PIPER plucks the frozen cup from the air.)PIPER: I’m going to go take this down to the kitchen. (She leaves.)[Cut to PHOEBE’s room. COLE is lying on the bed. He stirs and his eyes slowly open, not quite sure where he is at first. Then the door cracks open and PIPER pokes her head in.]COLE: Piper? PIPER: You’re awake. (She moves into the room with PHOEBE’s cup still in hand.)COLE: What’s going on? PIPER: You’ve been out for a few hours. (COLE rubs his head.)COLE: How did I get here? The last thing I remember was… (His eyes widen.) The Source! PIPER: He possessed you to get to Phoebe. COLE: I-is she okay? PIPER: She’s sick. COLE: Oh my god. (He sits up.) What did I do to her? PIPER: You didn’t do anything, it was The Source. (She shakes her head.) It’s a long story, one which Phoebe can explain to you when she’s better. COLE: I need to see her. (He tries to get up, but PIPER pushes him back down.)PIPER: We only have a limited amount of time, Cole. COLE: To do what? (Without a word, PIPER gets up and walks to the door.)PIPER: Vanquish The Source. (As COLE begins to protest, PIPER raises her hand and he freezes.) Forgive me, Cole, but this ends today. I’m not about to lose anymore of my family. (She leaves.)[Scene: MATT’s apartment. Living room. Boxes are scattered all around the room, most closed and taped, while a few are still opened. MATT grabs a roll of clear tape and uses it to securely close one of the boxes. He looks around and then holds up his hand, conjuring a black marker. He writes on the top of the box, “Marc Anthony Halloween Costume.” Then he sets the marker down and walks into the bedroom, where most everything is boxed up except for the Ouija board, which is lying on the bare mattress of the bed. He stares at it and then heads for the bathroom, when out of the corner of his eye, he sees it move. MATT spins around and sees that the pointer has landed on “M.” He starts to move towards it when it moves to “A” and then to “N.” MATT trembles as his eyes chance a glance and then back to the board as the pointer slides to “O” and then “R.”]MATT: (trembling) The Manor. But (he shakes his head) I was already there! He got away, they didn’t get the chance to vanquish him! (The pointer rapidly moves around the board, causing MATT’s head to bob back and forth to keep up. It finally spells out, “GO AGAIN.”) Now? (The pointer moves to the word “Yes” on the corner of the board.)[Scene: Manor. Attic. PRUE is now sitting next to PHOEBE, rubbing circles on her back.]PRUE: (comfortingly) How are you feeling? PHOEBE: (weakly) Exhausted. PAIGE: The effects of the herbal potion aren’t going to last long. (She holds up the vial of black potion.) Phoebe, do you recognize this? (PHOEBE studies the potion and then reaches out, taking it from PAIGE’s hand.)PHOEBE: Y-yes. (She nods.) I don’t know how, but I’m sure we have to use this to summon The Source. PAIGE: Do you know how? PHOEBE: How do we use any other potion? (She looks to the circle crystal in the center of the room and then spots the shards of the fifth crystal.) We shatter it…unfortunately, we’ll have to do it without the crystal cage. PRUE: Was there anything else in your premonition? PHOEBE: I had a vision? PRUE: While you were delirious. (PHOEBE weakly shakes her head.)PHOEBE: Well, I guess that explains why I somehow know what do to with that stuff. (She looks down at the vial.) I’m sorry, but I don’t remember… (PIPER walks in.)PIPER: Thank god, (she breaths a sigh of relief as she moves to her sisters) it worked! (PHOEBE tries to stand but wobbles.)PAIGE: Here, lean on me. (PHOEBE smiles thankfully as PAIGE helps to steady her.)PRUE: Well, here we go again. (She looks over her shoulder and squints at the attic door, causing it to slam shut. Then an old desk flies across the room and sets itself in front of the door, blocking it.) I’m not about to make the same mistake twice. PIPER: (to PHOEBE) Are you sure you’re ready for this? (PHOEBE nods.)PHOEBE: There’s no time like the present. (PHOEBE clutches the vial between her fingers and then hurls it to the floor. The sound of shattering glass radiates through the attic as the black tar-like potion seeps and moves across the wooden floor like a spreading virus. Then black smoke begins to swirl and rise from the goo, whirling into a gyrating plume of blackness and from the blackness, steps THE SOURCE. PAIGE’s grip around PHOEBE tightens, as do PRUE and PIPER’s, this time who are on the outside, around PHOEBE and PAIGE. THE SOURCE throws out his arm, aiming a well placed fireball at the sisters. PRUE’s hand shoots out in defense and the fireball reverses, impaling itself into the black cloak of THE SOURCE.)PRUE: (to THE SOURCE) That’s really getting old. THE SOURCE: As is this game of cat and mouse. (He clenches his fist and suddenly PRUE is ripped from PHOEBE’s side and pulled into the air. A zigzagging bolt of electricity runs from his hands up to her body, electrocuting her.)PIPER: Prue! (She throws up her wrists and THE SOURCE explodes, causing PRUE to fall towards the ground.)PAIGE: Sofa, Prue! (The sofa orbs under PRUE, catching her as she falls with a loud smack. THE SOURCE reforms.)PHOEBE: He’s getting faster at this! We need to say the spell! PAIGE: “Patricia, Penelope, Prudence, Melinda!” (Wind starts to pick up in the attic, causing the sisters' hair to fly in their faces. Then it turns into a tornado-type funnel surrounding THE SOURCE.)PHOEBE: “Astrid, Helena, Laura, and Grace!” (A blazing ring of flames erupts around THE SOURCE, which grows more prevalent due to the raging funnel of wind. PRUE scrambles to her feet, grabbing a hold of PHOEBE’s arm again.)PIPER: “Warren witches stand strong beside us!” (The flames, empowered by the raging wind, leap onto his black cloak and spring upwards, disintegrating the black cloth.)PRUE: “Vanquish this evil from time and space!” [Cut to the entry way. The doors fly open and MATT bursts in, running wildly for the stairs.]
[Cut to the attic. The flames finally reach THE SOURCE's black hood and it dissolves into dust, revealing the one-eyed, yellowed and scarred face of THE SOURCE.]
[Cut to MATT. He’s running down the hallway and makes it to the stairs, leading up to the attic. He sees that the door’s shut and runs up anyway. When he finds that it’s both locked and blocked, a hand grenade appears in his hand. He sets it next to the base of the door and runs down the stairs, taking cover.]
[Cut to inside the attic. THE SOURCE roars as his body shatters outwards and its particles fly in all different directions.]
[Cut to MATT. He ducks as a bang goes off and debris flies outwards as the hand grenade explodes, making a giant hole where the former door of the attic used to be. MATT runs up the stairs and into the attic. His eyes land on PHOEBE and his arm outstretches just as nova-like blast, which is so powerful that the four Charmed Ones are ripped apart from each other and fly in all different directions, blinds his vision.]
[Scene: The Underworld. THE SOURCE’s lair. THE ORACLE is standing near the throne with her crystal ball, watching as an image of black lights swarm through the floor of the attic and disappear. Then her eyes lift to the rocky ceiling of THE SOURCE’s lair and those same black lights emerge from the ceiling. A wicked grin spreads across her face as she sets her crystal ball down and opens her arms, accepting the full brunt of the black swarms. She screams in agony as they all slam into her at once, knocking her to the floor and her body begins to shake.]
[Scene: Manor. Attic. PAIGE sails for the windows as white hot flames come at her. Orbs engulf her body and she vanishes as the fire swarms the space where she just was and then shoots out the windows, instantly melting the colorful stained glass and disintegrating the wood. Meanwhile, PRUE’s body shatters into the wall and her hands fly up in front of her instinctively as the flames run at her. Suddenly, the flames curve and arch around her, impaling the wall and burning through it easily, but leaving the eldest witch unharmed. Again, in another part of the room, PIPER is thrown into a pile of debris and as the burning flames come at her, she raises her hands and clams her eyes shut. The flames freeze in a white hot wall less than three inches away. And finally, against the opposite wall from PRUE, PHOEBE gasps as she flies across the room. There’s a resounding smack as she hits the wall and slides limply to the floor. As the flames race at her, a glimmering wall of steel, the thickness of a bank vault, erects itself between PHOEBE and the flames, shielding the witch from the brunt of the aftermath of THE SOURCE’s vanquish.]
