Paige’s Big Adventure
Disclaimer: I do not own any of characters, this is just a fan fiction of the charmed ones.
The story is about Paige, who is chosen by the Elders to go back in time and save the people that were lost over the years, starting with her big sister Prue. It will be an ongoing story and appropriate for all ages. It starts out at the end of season eight.
Act 1
**EXT. MANOR**
INT. Paige’s room
{The camera views Paige, who has Wyatt sitting on her lap in her bed and they are looking at the Book Of Shadows.}
Paige: Imagine Wyatt that some day this book will belong to you and Chris.
(Wyatt looks at the pages and turns a page. He sees a funny looking demon with bunny ears, a dragon’s tail, donkey face and chicken wings. He lets out a laugh.)
Paige: What little guy, what’s so funny. (She sees the demon and lets out her own laugh.) Well you found a Asmodeus : Demon of wrath, banished by Raphael in the 1800’s. See not all demons are scary.
Wyatt: Fwnny demow
Paige: Let me tell you that your family has a rich heritage of love, gifts and strong people. So I hope that you never are ashamed of where you come from. Want to know a promise that I will do for you when you’re older? (Paige lowers her head till they touch noses and looks at Wyatt. Piper walks in and gives them a smile.) I’m going to teach you to be a Whitelighter, since your dad doesn’t have his powers anymore.
Piper: What are you guys doing? (Paige looks over at her, as does Wyatt.)
Paige: I’m telling Wyatt a little about are family and how, when he’s old enough I’ll teach him to be a great Whitelighter. Since, he’s going to learn from the best.
Piper: That is so sweet of you Paige and I hate to ruin your bonding time, but it’s time for Wyatt to be off to school.
Paige: Okay, we can hang out later. See you later Wyatt. (Piper walks over and picks him up. He turns and gives Paige a wave.)
Wyatt: Bwe auwt Pawge.
(They leave the room and Paige closes the book. She decides to go get some breakfast. She gets up and walks towards the door, when Elder Sanders orbs right in front of her.)
Paige: What the hell! (Paige orbs and then orbs back in) O, just you. You scared me for a moment. So why are you here?
Elder Sanders: Paige, I have come to reset what went wrong and make it right.
Paige: What do you mean?
Elder Sanders: You’ll understand everything in a moment. Let us leave so that we can talk in private. (She grabs Paige and they orb out.)
**mausoleum**
INT. The same room where Prue was buried in 2001
(Both Paige and Elder Sander orb into the dark, cold crypt, Paige looks around and shivers. She rubs her arms as she tries to make out where the Elder orbed them to with the sun shinning through the Iron Gate as her only source of light. The candles that are light at night have melted down and are replaced by burning ones every night. Paige barley sees a plaque that says Prudence Halliwell: 1970-2001. Paige turns to the Elder.)
Paige: Why are we here?
Elder Sanders: It has to do with a job I have in store for you.
Paige: What is it, do tell.
(The Elder walks past her and looks at Prue’s plaque, then turns back to Paige.)
Elder Sanders: The Charmed Ones have been fighting their whole lives and they are the best people I ever met and they have done more good then we’ll ever know and it cost you, your Mother and sister.
Paige: It would have been nice to have met them both.
Elder Sanders: That is why I came to you; you can go back and save them both, along with Andy and who ever else that you want, for you alone have the power necessary to save them. You’re Telekinetic Orbing, Orbing, Healing, Glamouring, Sensing, Telepathic connection with charges, Hovering, Enhanced power due to Charmed status. All the powers you will need for you journey.
Paige: Yet, how can I go back? Do the other Elder’s know? If I stop Prue from dieing will they know me? What did we do to deserve this? What if my other sisters might need me?
Elder Sander: Many questions I will answer for you. The other Elder’s know, they had voted rather to allow this or not. They saw that the powers that you had were perfect to make this journey. For your other questions, I’m sending you back to May 17, 2001 first. That is the day that Prue died. You will enter your past body with the knowledge that you posse now. Once you save her, convince them that you are their little half sister, because remember that Shax was after you at that time and if you can’t get your sisters to protect you then you will die. You didn’t receive your charmed status until you stand under the chandelier with them once again. Once the job is accomplice you will go to the next person that you want to save or that we want you to save.
(She reaches into one of her robes and pulls out a small veil. It is green and she holds it out to Paige.)
Elder Sanders: Do you accept?
Paige: Still what if my sisters need me to fight a demon and what did we do to deserve such a gift?
Elder Sanders: Time travel means that you have all the time you need. When the journey is done, you will come back and it might seem like days, months, years even to you that you were missing, but to everyone else it was only a couple of minutes. On the other hand, why did you receive this, because you destroyed the Source and the Ultimate Power. The Elders wanted to give you something in return for the years that you had to go through danger, heart ack and pain. We thought we owed you for making the future a safer place for good magic to continue. So again, will you accept?
Paige: Why can’t Piper and phoebe do it, I’m just wondering? They were witches long before they met me and their powers are more advanced from years of training, potion making and spell casting.
(Elder Sanders brings out a small pouch. It’s green and closed by a leather lace. She unties it and takes a hand full of yellow-orange sand. She throws it up in the air and images start to form. First we see Piper in the attic with a silver bowel and knife. Her checks are tear stained. Elder Sander’s voice is heard in the back ground. We hear a little of what Piper says.)
(Piper pricks her finger and lets it run into the bowel.)
Piper: Bring back my sister; bring back the power of three.
(She looks around expectantly, but nothing happens and she covers her face with her hands.)
Elder Sander: Piper was the one who took it the hardest, when they lost Prue. It nearly destroyed her.
(The scene change to the Mausoleum and Piper runs at Prue’s Plaque and starts to bang on it.)
Piper: How dare you leave me. How could you go and die; and leave me here all alone. Please come back. I need you, please come back.
(She slides to the floor and Leo moves away from Paige to comfort her.)
Elder Sander: Phoebe also suffered.
(The images changes to Piper walking down the hallway and seeing Phoebe standing motionless in Prue’s room, she goes in and sees her looking down at Prue’s jacket.)
Piper: Phoebe.
(She turns around and her face is tearstained as well.)
Phoebe: Remember when I borrowed this and my boyfriend’s cat peed on it. She was so mad that I thought she was going to have a stroke, but the funny thing was is that she thought it was you. She never knew it was me and now.
(She starts to break down again. The image fades out again to swirling lights.)
Elder Sander’s: Not only are your powers qualified for the job, but your emotional level is low, you might have loved some of the people that you will save. Yet, you didn’t get to spend time with them and can handle it if they die again.
Paige: I still don’t know.
Elder Sander’s: Look Paige, you are my last chance. I even tried Prue. I took her out of her time to let her find out what happened to her.
(The swirls take on images again. We see Prue walking down the stairs five years after her death. Patty is talking to Victor, Piper, Phoebe, Wyatt and Chris. Ect.)
Patty: Your Father told me about what happened to Prue.
Piper: O, mom. I’m sorry.
(Prue tilts her head and her face takes on a look as if she knows something is wrong.)
Patty: I guess, when one door closes, another one opens.
(The images began to swirl again.)
Elder Sanders: Prue, not knowing any of the events of her death, went along with it.
(The images form into the Manor. Shax knocks both Prue and Piper to the floor as the doctor stands in the middle of the room in shock. Prue looks up at the doctor and then at Shax as he forms a wind energy ball. Prue gets up and pushes the doctor out of the way.)
Prue: No!
(Prue literally goes straight throw the wall. We see her lying motionless as blood slips out of her ear and mouth. The images fade again.)
Elder Sanders: See she died before her time and so unjustly. Prue would have been given the job if she had prevented her death, but she failed. Only you Paige Matthews can make these wrongs right.
Paige: I think that I can do this, I was hoping to never see Shax again, but if it means that I can grow up with my mother or have a close bond with Prue then it’s worth the danger. It is my job as a witch to save people, why noy my own family. Give me that bottle.
(Elder Sanders hands it back out to her and Paige takes it.)
Paige: So, do I pour it on myself?
Elder Sander: No you drink it. Also I forgot. (She reaches back into her robe and pulls out a blue veil.) This is to bring you back.
(Paige reaches out and grabs the blue veil.)
Paige: Before I go, what if I miss up. Like I failed to save someone, do I get another chance?
Elder Sanders: If you do take two drops of the veil and it time will reset and you will still have the knowledge of what went wrong. Yet, try not to, to many times, because those are the only bottles you’ve got and if you use it up and your still in the past, your stuck. Also one more thing, you will hear a jingle in your head to let you know each time that your mission is complete and just think of a time you want to go and you will be there in a flash. So if there aren’t anymore questions, you better get going.
(Paige pops the lid of the green bottle and takes a sip. She looks around, waiting for something to happen.)
Paige: Why isn’t anything-
(The room rushes fast behind her as she closes her eyes. The Elder orbs out of the room as we switch to the Golden Gate Bridge with the sun high in the shy. The sun goes down and then back up till it comes to a stop in the early morning light. Five years ago on May 17, 2001 )
[Scene: South Bay Social Services. A young brunette woman (PAIGE MATTHEWS) is sitting at her desk inside a small cubical. She’s staring at a burning candle that’s sitting on her desk.]
MR. COWAN (o/s): Paige, where are those print outs?
PAIGE: Ooh. (She clicks “Print” and then hops out of her chair to collect the papers. As she steps away from her cubical, a magical wind rustles behind her and the candle blows out. Paige’s future self enters her former self.)
Paige: happening. (She stops dead in her tracks, because she feels light headed and a little nauseas.)
MR. COWAN: Paige! This is the last time I’m asking for those print-outs.
(PAIGE snatches the papers from the printing tray and shoves them into her boss’ hands.)
PAIGE: All done. I can’t believe that I’m back. Oh, no Prue, Piper I must go warn them.
MR. COWAN: Who are you talking to!
Paige: I gotta go. (She begins to walk away.)
MR. COWAN: Where do you think you’re going? (PAIGE keeps walking.) Paige, don’t act like you can’t hear me!
PAIGE: Sorry, Mr. Cowan, but I’ll be back soon. There’s something I just realized I forgot to do. (She flashes him a smile and leaves.)
MR. COWAN: Paige? Paige! (He hears the door shut, groans, and angrily walks back to his office.)
[Scene: Manor. Entrance Hall. PRUE and PIPER HALLIWELL are walking through the door with DR.GRIFFITHS.]
PRUE: Look, I know that this all sounds incredible, but it doesn't make it any less true. Alright, you're a healer; you do good. Now, either you have saved too many lives or you're about to save a life that they don't want you to save.
DR.GRIFFITHS: They?
PRUE: Yeah, demons. Uh, more specifically, Shax. The Source's assassin.
Dr. Griffiths: Hold it; I get it. This is a practical joke, right? Do you have a hidden camera here? My second wife put you up to this? Ah, it's just like her. (He laughs.)
PRUE: O-o-okay, Dr. Griffiths, listen to me, this is anything but... (She stops.)
PIPER: What?
PRUE: I don't know, I just felt a chill. Phoebe? (No answer.) Phoebe, are you there? (A tornado of wind twists through the front door.) Phoebe, where are you?
(The tornado knocks PRUE and PIPER to the floor. A clap of thunder is heard, the tornado calms down and SHAX appears.)
DR.GRIFFITHS: Dear God.
(Paige orbs in behind the wall that moments from now Prue and Piper will come crashing through.)
Paige: Alright Paige, here is your first test.
PRUE: No! (PRUE gets up off the floor and pushes DR.GRIFFITHS out of the way. SHAX throws an energy ball at PRUE and she literally crashes straight through a wall. Paige screams as Prue comes crashing behind her. She orbs out and then back in.) PIPER gets up, looks at her sister.) Piper: Prue! (SHAX throws an energy ball at PIPER and Paige comes out from behind the wall.) Paige: Wind energy ball. (Orbs circle it and she sends it back on Shax. He screams in agony.)
Piper: Who the hell are you!
Paige: Blow him up.
(Piper turns to Shax as he forms another wind energy ball, she out stretches her hands.) Piper: Blow this! (Shax blows up in a real vanquish. Paige makes her way over to Prue and looks over her big sister. She looks very pale. She places her hand over her and a golden light shines. Piper joins Paige at her side.)
Piper: Come on Prue. You can’t leave me and Phoebe.
(The blood starts to run backwards inside of her ear and mouth. She slowly starts to come out of it as her eyes flicker open. The light slowly dies down. Piper gives out her hand and helps her sister out of the caved-in wall.)
Piper: Thank God.
Prue: Where’s Shax and is the innocent alright?
Piper: Shax is dead, I blow him up and Dr. Griffiths is fine. Everything is fine at least I hope.
(She turns to Paige and Prue follows her gaze.)
Prue: Who, the hell are you?

Act 2
**EXT. MANOR**
INT. Entrance Hall.
{We see Prue and Piper looking at Paige as she stands near the caved-in wall. Prue looks a little confused along with Piper.}
Prue: Who, the hell are you?
(Paige thinks about what she should or should not say)
Piper: Well?
Paige: My name is Paige Mathews and I’m a Whitelighter/Witch from the future.
(Piper looks at Prue.)
Piper: At least that explains how she was able to heal you. How are you a witch?
Paige: Because my mom had an affair with a Whitelighter.
(Prue gets a little irritated. She whispers to Piper.)
Prue: How do we know that she isn’t a demon or a warlock? Warlocks have traveled to the past before. Remember the warlock Gavin, who tried to kill Tanya and her baby?
(Paige feels a little insulted. She makes a mad face.)
Paige: If I was evil, then why did I save you?
Piper: Let’s don’t forget that she healed you. The only ones that I can think of, who can do that are whitelighters.
Prue: Eames, remember him. He could steal other witches powers and whitelighters. She could have done the same.
Piper: Still that leaves open the question on why she would want to save you. Don’t demons, warlocks and all the other evils of the world want to kill good?
Prue: I guess your right.
Paige: I think thanks will do, because if I hadn’t come back to this day when I did, you would have died for the second time this day Prue.
Prue: What!
Paige: This day has already happened. Shax attacked, Leo came to heal you and you went looking for Shax outside and you vanquished him right in front of a reporter. I think? It’s been a while since Phoebe last told me this story.
Piper: Speaking of Phoebe, where is she?
Prue: I died? (Her lips seemed to tremble)
(Dr. Griffiths starts to come out of his shocked state.)
Dr. Griffiths: Who…what… was that?
(The three sisters look over at him. Piper rolls her eyes.)
Piper: Just great, now we have to explain all this to him and we haven’t hardly found out anything from are friend here. (She freezes the room and Dr. Griffiths stops moving along with Paige)
(Piper points at her as Prue’s eyes grow big.)
Piper: If she was a witch then how was I able to freeze her? I don’t care even if she is a half witch!
Prue: I knew that she was lying to us!
(Prue becomes angry and throws up her hands in frustration. Paige goes flying into the hole. She puts her hands to her face in shock.)
Paige: Awe!
(Paige sits up and looks at them. She is angry.)
Paige: Why did you do that for?
Piper: Yeah Prue, why did you do that for?
Prue: I didn’t mean to. I just got a little mad and I guess my powers went off. Wait a minute, we have are own questions for you.
Piper: Like if you’re a witch then why did are powers works on you? All witches aren’t affected by my freezing ability and Prue’s telekinesis.
Paige: I guess, because I’m in my past body and we haven’t stood under the chandelier yet.
Prue: What the hell are you talking about?
Paige: I’m talking about the fact that I’m your sister! My mom was your mom and my dad was her Whitelighter. That is why your parents divorced. Oops.
(Prue is beyond pissed.)
Prue: What! How dare you come into are house and speak such lies about are mother. Get out of our house!
Piper (whispers): Mom did have an affair.
Prue: That's not the point. There is no way that mom couldkeep this from us. Now get out before I vanquish you!
Paige: You might not believe it yet, but in your heart you know I’m telling the truth.
Prue: Out!
(She points towards the doors and they fly open.)
Paige: Please can we just go up in the attic and summon mom! She’ll back up what I’m telling you!
Prue: I said out!
(Paige starts flying through the air and lands out side of the doors. She takes one anguish look back and saw Prue and Piper looking at her, as the doors slowly closed. Back into the manor, Prue turns to Piper.)
Prue: Have a nice day!
Piper: This is turning into a very pleasant day.
(Just then a series of orbs appear into the room and form into Leo. He is facing the caved in wall, with a look of worried on his face and is surprised to see one giant hole in the wall and no one laying in it. He notice Paige standing by him and turns to see that Prue and Piper are okay. Tears form in her eyes as he sees that the love of his life is okay.)
Leo: Piper, you’re alive.
(He walks over and gives her a hug. He kisses her forehead.)
Piper: What do you mean I’m alive?
Leo: It means….wait how come you and Prue aren’t hurt? You were the first time that I orbed in when Phoebe called
Prue: What do you mean the first time and where is Phoebe!?
Leo: I came to warn you guys that this day has already happened. Shax attacked you and throw you both through that wall and Phoebe called me to come and heal you. Then you followed Shax outside hurt him in front of a reporter and she exposed you to the whole world. We had to make a deal with Tempus to reset time.
Piper: It’s just like that woman said. I thank that I’m going to have a migraine.
Leo: What woman
Prue: Go on Leo. We’ll explain later.
Leo: Phoebe is still in the underworld, because the only way we could get The Source to contact Tempus was to make a deal with him.
(Piper lowers her brow.)
Prue: What kind of deal?
Leo: That if Tempus would reset time then she would stay down there and join them.
Piper: Leo, I can’t believe that you would leave her down there Leo and let her do something like that.
Leo: I didn’t, Cole is with her and she did it on her own. It was the only way to save she could save both of you. Yet, The Source betrayed us and sent an army of demons after us, after Cole left his lair. I had to stay down there and help Phoebe, because first a demon cut her throat and I healed her and then another demon stabbed her in the heart.
Piper: Dear God!
Leo: After I healed her the second time she told me to come here and warn you guys, but obviously you don’t need me. So here’s my question, how come you two don’t need my help?
Prue: Wait a minute, Cole’s evil remember. He killed a witch!
(Just before Leo can say anything, Cole and Phoebe shimmer in with worried looks on their faces. Phoebe is tucked protectively in Cole’s arms. Phoebe looks over at Leo, Prue and Piper and lets out a sigh of relief. She walks over and hugs them both.)
Phoebe: Thank God, I didn’t lose either of you.
Cole: Phoebe, I need to go. The bounty hunters will be here soon if I don’t leave.
(A bounty hunter orbs in. He’s black and has frizzled hair. His clothes look like they belong to a hobo. He sends a fire ball at Cole. He ducks out of the way and creates one in his own hand. He sends it at the bounty hunter and hits him. He explodes in a ball of fire and lets out an ear shattering scream. Phoebe rushes over and kisses Cole.
Phoebe: Go and met me at the crypt at the crypt. I’ll be there in a little while. I need to take care of a few things here. I don’t want to abandon them again, so soon.
Cole: I understand. I love you.
(He leans over and kisses her and then shimmers out. Doctor Griffiths unfreezes.)
[Scene: Underworld. A darkly cloaked figure appears in front of a shadowy figure known as the Oracle.]
THE SOURCE: I trust you have good news for me.
Oracle: May I be seen?
(He considers that for a beat, then turns and waves his clawed hand at The Oracle. A creepy but sexy young woman materializes from the depths, stroking her ever-present crystal ball.)
The Source: Have you found Belthazor?
THE ORACLE: I’m sorry, Sire. (She bows her head.) Balthazor hasn’t--
THE SOURCE: What is the meaning of this…?
The Oracle: Leave Balthazor to the bounty hunters!
The Source: Nothing is more important.
Oracle: Not even The Charmed Ones?
The Source: The Charmed Ones are dead.
THE ORACLE: The circle is still complete
THE SOURCE: You told me that you saw the end of the power of three! You told me…
THE ORACLE: The future is ever changing, and when magical forces are at play, one can only hypothesize the outcome!
(THE SOURCE curls his bony, yellowed hand.)
The Source: You’re lucky that I don’t turn you into a snake.
Oracle: Yes, but then how would you see into the future without me?
The Source: I’ll have you replaced with someone who can give me more reliable information!
(Oracle: Mmm. Well, in that case, you'd better keep me around a little while longer. The Source turns back to the Oracle as she looks into her crystal ball, sees whips of smoke forming inside.)
THE ORACLE: Yet, I do have news for you.
THE SOURCE: What do you see?
THE ORACLE: I see a forbidden affair being revealed. I see a witch learning about her true calling. She is the reason that the charmed ones still live and she is about to make the power of three much stronger.
THE SOURCE: Good. Finish with the doctor and after he is dealt with I want her to be Shax’s next target. She’ll be defenseless. (He starts to flame out but stops.) And Oracle you better see the future more clearly from now on for your own future! (He flames out)
(Scene: Alley behind the South Bay Social Services. Paige is walking along apparently angered. Her cell rings as she reaches the door. She digs in her pocket and flaps it open.)
Paige: Hello.
Man’s voice: Paige, I’m so glade that I caught you. I was wondering if I could apologize and take you to P3 later. What do you say?
Paige: Excuse me, but who is this?
Man’s voice: Did you forget me already in one afternoon? (He lets out a little laugh.)
Paige: Look, who ever this is I’m not in a good mood. Now either tell me your name or I’m hanging up.
Man’s voice: It’s Shane.
Paige: Shane, Shane…O yeah, I remember you. It’s been years since I’ve seen you. What have you been up to?
Shane: Pretty funny Paige. Now I’m really sorry that I concealed are last date, will you let me make it up to you. Come with me to the P3 tonight? I heard Tantric is playing.
Paige: Shane, I don’t know. I…Phoebe
Shane: What?
(Paige thanks back to that night. That was the day that she met Phoebe besides the funeral.)
Paige’s mind voice: Maybe I can convince Phoebe that I’m her sister. Yet, I’ll have to get the spell to vanquish Shax incase something goes wrong. What about Henry. Does it count as cheating since at this time in my life I didn’t even know who he was? (Pause) Yet if I never unite with my sisters I might never meet him. Remember it’s only business and your meeting up with an old friend. (She stops day dreaming and speaks into the phone.)
Shane: Paige, are you there?
Paige: Sorry, I was just day dreaming. Anyway, I would love to go with you.
Shane: Really, what time do you want me to come and pick you up?
Paige: How about seven?
[Scene: Manor. Conservatory. Prue, Phoebe and the Doctor are sitting on the cane chairs. Piper walks in holding a glass of water, and hands it to the Doctor.]
Doctor: Thank you.
(He takes a sip.)
Phoebe: Now you understand why you have to keep this a secret? Why you can't tell anyone about us, about what you saw today.
Prue: If others knew, we wouldn't be able to do what we do anymore. We wouldn't be able to help future innocents like we helped you.
Doctor: No, I understand. I mean, I don't understand everything. Demons, witches, the Source. So much for being an atheist. Your secret is safe with me.
Phoebe: Thank you.
Doctor: No, thank you. You saved my life, the least I can do is protect yours.
Phoebe: Okay, I'll walk you to the door.
(Phoebe and the Doctor stand up.)
Prue: Bye.
(They leave the room. Leo walks in.)
Leo: How'd it go?
Piper: We dodged another bullet.
Prue: Yeah, with him maybe.
Leo: What do you mean?
Prue: I don't know, I mean, something still bothers me about the way that you vanquished Shax. Like, I'm not so sure you really did.
Piper: What do you mean? He screamed, he went poof, just like they all do. Third demon in a row, by the way, that I vanquished with my new power, but who's counting?
(Phoebe walks back in.)
Prue: Right, but if that's all that we needed, then why was there a vanquishing spell in the book? I mean, hasn't that always meant that our individual powers weren't enough?
Leo: Except the book was written by witches with less powers than you guys have. They needed the spells.
Phoebe: Plus, I think if he was still alive, he probably would've attacked us again by now.
Prue: Ah, you know, Leo, can you just check to make sure, please with the Elders. Also will you ask about a demon, warlock or any other form of evil that might have stolen a whitelighter’s powers lately? Maybe even about a witch that is half Whitelighter.
Leo: What do you mean half Whitelighter?
Piper: Remember when you asked us about what changed the course of time to were we didn’t need you to heal us a second time.
Leo: Yeah.
Prue: It was because a young brunette woman came out of nowhere and…
Piper: Healed Prue. She claimed to be half Whitelighter and half witch. Also she said her name was Paige.
Leo: That’s impossible, The Elders forbid it.
Piper: Well she was able to heal Prue, so explain that. Besides you and I got married and won’t are kids be half witch and whitelighter?
Leo: Yeah, but they only okayed it after we got together. Either she’s lying or her parents broke the rules.
Prue: She also claimed to be from the future.
Leo: Well that explains it. Whitelighters and witches normally get married in the future.
(Prue and Piper thought about her claim to be their mother’s daughter, but keep silent.)
Phoebe: Well who ever she is, I thank of her as a blessing for saving you guys.
Prue: Go, check now.
Leo: No problem.
(Leo orbs out.)
Piper: If you ask me, I think you're being paranoid. We kicked Shax's ass. We bad. Besides that woman saved you Prue, she didn’t even propose a threat.
Prue: Yes, you're probably right, but she ticked me off when she told horrible lies about mom.
Phoebe: What did she say?
Piper: That mom had an affair with her whitelighter Sam and that she was the result of it.
Prue: Don’t you think that mom would have told us that we had another sister.
(Phoebe looks towards the floor and back to them.)
Phoebe: Well she was right about everything else, why not this.
Prue: Don’t tell me that you bought that! Why wouldn’t mom had told us about something so important as this! She is obviously insane.
Phoebe: I guess your right.
Prue: Anyway what about you and Cole?
Phoebe: What about us?
Prue: Like for instance, that he turned evil and killed a witch. Now he’s suddenly good.
Phoebe: See Prue, when this day first happened. I told you guys that I wanted to try a new potion on Cole. One that would reverse the spell that turned him bad in the first place, I believed in my heart that Cole was still good inside. And if dark magic did this to him, then how come white magic couldn’t save him? I couldn’t just turn my back on the love of my life, I had to try and it worked like a charm.
(Prue and Phoebe giggle a little at this.)
Phoebe: No pun intended.
Piper: I’m just glade your happy.
(They hear foot steps coming from the attic. Prue revolves her head up and makes a-what was that face and Piper lowers her brow as they move to the ceiling.)
Phoebe: Is someone in the attic?
Prue: No one should unless Leo orbed up there? Leo, get your whitelighter butt down here now!
(A series of orbs come into the room and form into Leo.)
Leo: Well, they don't know anything about her, so she's definitely not a whitelighter.
Phoebe: Then why can she heal, Leo?
Leo: They can't explain it. (Both Prue and Piper get a little tense.)
Phoebe: Then how is it possible that they don't kn... (Prue cuts her off.)
Prue: Where you just in the attic?
Leo: No, why?
Prue: Orb us to the attic.
(Scene: Manor. Attic. Paige is standing by the book of shadows, flipping the pages and lands on the page that she needs. She sees a picture of him.)
Paige: Shax. The Source's Assassin.
Demonic hitman called out for only the top assignments by the Source.
Corporealises out of wind and air, method of attack is a ferocious blast of wind that can be lethal to its victim.
Vanquishing Spell
Evil wind that blows,
That which forms below,
No longer may you dwell,
Death takes you with this spell
(She starts to scrabble down the vanquishing spell as Leo, Prue, Piper and Phoebe orb into the room.)
Prue: You again!
Leo and Phoebe: Who’s she?
Piper: The woman that we told you about.
(Paige looks up as she starts writing the third line of the vanquishing spell and is a little startled. Quickly she writes No longer may you dwell.)
Piper: What are you doing in are house! How did you get up here?
Phoebe: Answer us!
(Paige writes down the last line. Prue waves her and Paige flies towards the corner of the house and smacks into the wall. Paige sits back up.)
Paige: Awe!!! I wish that you would stop doing that.
Prue: And I wish that you would stop breaking into our house.
Paige: He’s still after you all.
Prue: Who? You!
(Paige orbs out. Piper turns to Leo.)
Piper: Enough proof for ya.
Leo: I don’t know what to say.
Piper: She touched the book. I guess you were wrong about her being evil Prue.
Prue: Okay, so I showed bad judgment. Besides evil has found away to touch the book before. How do we know that she couldn’t have?
Piper: You’re hopeless.
(Phoebe walks over to the book. She looks down and sees the page that Paige had opened.)
Prue: What is it Phoebe?
Phoebe: She had it opened to the Shax page.
Prue: Shax is dead. Why would she be reading about him?
Leo: Prue, I asked the elders and it turns out that you guys just wounded him.
Prue: What!
(Phoebe touches the page and gets hit with a powerful premonition: Paige is on a skyscraper rooftop helipad. She screams as she squeezes her eyes shut in fear as the demon Shax gestures and sends a concessive blast toward her to kill her. Phoebe stumbles to the floor after her premonition ends.)
Prue: Phoebe.
(Prue, Piper and Leo rush over and help Phoebe up.)
Leo: What did you see?
Piper: Are you all right?
Phoebe: I saw him... Shax. Leo’s right he isn’t dead.
Leo: Shax? What was he doing?
Phoebe: He was killing that girl.
Piper: What girl?
Phoebe: The one that was just here. We've gotta go find her... (Prue interrupts her.)
Prue: Why do we have to?
Piper: Prue…
Prue: Listen, if she is crazy enough to go after him, then she is probably prepared to face him.
Piper: Yeah, you should have seen her. She came in and sent Shax’s wind energy balls back on him. I never seen anything like it, it was just like your power Prue. Except that it had blue orbs around it.
Leo: That’s odd. (Leo hears a calling.) I’m sorry, but I need to go. One of my charges is calling for me. Will you guys be alright till I get back?
Piper: Yeah, we’ve been in worser predicaments.
(Leo orbs out.)
Prue: What I find odd is that we are still talking about saving a girl that obvious doesn’t need our help, when someone who does is in danger.
Phoebe: Who?
Prue: Dr. Griffiths.
Phoebe: Piper, what do you think.
Piper: I’m sorry Phoebe, but Prue’s right. She seemed to do alright on her own. If she needed are help, wouldn’t she have asked us instead of orbing out.
Phoebe: Go then, I’m going to find Cole. He’ll help me. (She heads for the door.)
Piper: Phoebe, Phoebe…
(She keeps walking. Prue goes over to the book and starts to memorize the vanquishing spell.)
Piper: Aren’t you going to stop her.
Prue: Piper, we need to hurry. We’ll apologize when we get back.
Piper: But we’ll need the power of three to vanquish him.
Prue: We’ll have to rely on the power of two.
[Scene: San Francisco Memorial Hospital. Dr. Griffiths comes out of a room and throws a surgeon cap in a hamper. He walks over to the reception desk and the receptionist hands him the phone.]
Dr. Griffiths: Dr. Griffiths.
(Prue and Piper race up to him.)
Prue: Hi!
(Prue takes the phone off of him.)
Piper: He's still after you, come on.
Prue: Lets go.
(They pull him away from the desk.)
[Cut to outside. Prue, Piper and Dr. Griffiths leave the hospital and head for Prue's car.]
Dr. Griffiths: I thought you said you got rid of this thing.
Prue: Yeah, well, we don't think that anymore, okay?
Dr. Griffiths: Where are we going?
Prue: Just somewhere safe.
Dr. Griffiths: Look, I'm not cut out...
Prue: Get in the car.
(They get in Prue's car. A strong wind pushes Dr. Griffiths out of the car and falls on the grass. The area is empty except for some passing cars that are preoccupied with going were they need to go. The wind turns into Shax. Prue and Piper get out of the car.)
Prue/Piper: "Evil wind that blows, that which forms below, no longer may you dwell, death takes you with this spell."
(Shax turns into a ghostly wind and disappears.)
Piper: Did we get him.
Prue: Not till Phoebe says the spell.
(Dr. Griffiths passes out.)
(Scene: Crypt. Phoebe walks down the stairs and shivers a little in the cold dark. Light only by candle light, Phoebe looks down at her watch and sees that it’s close to five. She starts to wonder if Cole is alright. Cole shimmers in and she jumps back.)
Cole: I’m sorry if I frightened you.
Phoebe: That’s okay. I was more worried then scarred.
Cole: Then I’m sorry that I worried you. I had to led the Bounty Hunters on a goose chase. So is everything back to normal?
Phoebe: Not quit, the mystery of the brunette woman is yet to be solved. Cole, I know that it may be dangerous, but would you go to the underworld and see if they know anything about her. Leo already checked with the elders and they don’t have a clue.
Cole: I’m sure that she won’t bother you again.
Phoebe: O yeah after you left us, we found her in the attic. She was looking in the book of shadows at the Shax page. When I touched it, I saw Shax attacking her.
Cole: Where?
Phoebe: I don’t know? It was dark and there were a lot of tall buildings surrounding the spot. I want to help her, but Prue and Piper think that she can fiend for herself. I want to help, but not if she is a demon. We can’t afford to take risks anymore. I saw what happened last time and I’ll be damned if I allow it to happen again.
Cole: I’ll be back as soon as I can. Meet me back at the manor.
Phoebe: Remember to be back, before it get’s dark.
(Scene: Paige is in her apartment trying to memorize the vanquishing spell.)
Paige: Evil wind that blows that which forms below….something, something.
(A knock at the door.)
Shane: Paige it’s me. Are you ready to go?
(She opens the door and sees him standing there with some roses and a big grin on his face.)
Paige: One moment. Here I’ll but these beautiful flowers in water. (She reaches out for them and he hands them to her. She smells them and smiles.) Thanks there lovely.
Shane: No problem.
(Paige closes the door and walks over to the coffee table and picks up an empty vase by the blue and green bottles that she placed there earlier. She takes it and fills it up with water by the sink. She places the flowers in and places the vase back on the coffee table by the bottles.
[Cut to Underworld. The Source materializes in a fiery display.]
The Source: Anything? (The Oracle, still coiled around her smoke-filled crystal ball, looks up from it.)
Oracle: Unfortunately the charmed ones saved the Doctor from the last attack.
The Source: What about the other?
(The Oracle confidently waves her hand over the crystal ball.)
Oracle: I see another. The Power of Four….
The Source: It can’t be. I want her taken care of quickly! Will my assassin fail a third time?
The Oracle: Her future's becoming much more clear And, it appears, short-lived... (The crystal ball shows swirling smoke inside as it begins to form into the image of a dancing woman, Paige.)
(Scene: Manor. Prue and Piper come home at the same time as Phoebe. They meet at the door and walk in. Prue turns to Phoebe.)
Prue: Look Phoebe, I’m sorry.
Phoebe: It’s okay. So how is Dr. Griffiths?
Piper: We stopped Shax in time and he passed out.
Prue: Good thing that we were near a hospital. He only suffered a little concussion. So did you and Cole save that girl?
Phoebe: No, I sent him to the underworld to see if he could find out anything about her. He told me to meet him here.
(Cole shimmers in. Three Bounty Hunters suddenly materialize on either side of Cole and immediately fire lightning bolts at him. Cole dives, just barely avoiding the bolts, which blow up an old portrait. Piper throws out her hands and blows up a vase behind Bounty Hunter #2 as Prue looks on in disbelief. Cole rolls, comes up firing, vanquishing Bounty Hunter #2, but Bounty Hunter #3 appears. Before he can kill Cole, though, Phoebe runs up and knocks him to the ground with an expert martial arts move. Bounty Hunter #3 spins to fire at Phoebe, but she then hides behind Prue. He fires a lightning bolt at Prue and Phoebe; Prue puts up her hand and sends it back at the Bounty Hunter, blowing him up in a shower of fiery sparks. Cole lets out some air.)
Cole: Was that fun or what?
(Prue is irritated again.)
Prue: Cole, what were you thinking of leading Bounty Hunters here!
(Phoebe sees that his wrist is cut and bleeding. She walks over and takes a look at it.)
Phoebe: He’s hurt.
Cole: I’m fine.
Phoebe: What happened?
Cole: I had to dodge some Bounty Hunters.
Phoebe: Leo can heal this. Leo, Leo.
Piper: Remember Phoebe that Cole is still a demon and will only be able to heal his human half.
(Sparkling, blue orbs fill into the room and transform into Leo.)
Leo: hey, guys.
Phoebe: Leo, heal him.
(She shows Leo, Cole’s wrist.)
Leo: I won’t be able to heal him all the way.
Phoebe: I know, but still.
(Leo puts his hand over Cole’s wrist and a soft glow fades over it and the bleeding stops and starts to go back into the deep gush. The hole gets a little smaller and then stops.)
Phoebe: Come on Cole. Let me bandage you up.
(Cole turns to her. He rips a piece of his shirt and wraps it around his wrist.)
Cole: I have important news that you need to hear, that you all need to hear.
Leo: Did you find anything out?
Cole: You have no idea what I found out. Turns out the Source doesn't think she's a white-lighter, a demon or a warlock at all. In fact, he thinks she might be another... Charmed One. That's why he put Shax on it. He thought he ended the Power of Three, but when that girl saved you Prue, she became Shax’s next target... Now he's worried that this girl may make the power of three that much stronger. The Power of Four.
Phoebe: No, but that's not possible. Is that possible? (Leo shrugs. Piper is in shock and Prue begins to take off.) Prue?
Cole: Prue?
[Cut to: Manor, The Attic. Prue walks into the attic, closely followed by Piper, Leo, Phoebe and Cole. Prue flings out her hand. Six candles from one of the shelves go flying into a circular formation on the floor, and then she walks to The Book Of Shadows and holds her hands above it, telekinetically flipping to the page to summon a spirit.]
Prue: Piper, go get me a lighter.
Piper: Prue….
Prue: Now!
(Piper flinches at her big sister's voice, but turns away and walks out of the attic to go get the lighter from downstairs.)
Phoebe: Prue, you don’t need to take this out on her. It wasn’t Piper’s fault.
Prue: Just shut up, Phoebe. Just shut up!
(Prue glares at Cole as Piper comes running back into the room. Prue walks over and snatches the lighter from her sister, and proceeds to light each of the candles.)
Prue (chanting):
“Hear these words,
Hear my cry,
Spirit from the other side;
Come to me,
I summon thee,
Cross now,
The Great Divide!”
(Swirls of white lights appear in the center of the candles, forming slowly into the apparition of Patty Halliwell. She’s wearing a long, white dress and her hair is hanging loosely over her shoulders.
Patty (confused): Prue? Honey, what’s going on? Why did you summon me? (looks around the room, noticing the confused and concerned faces.)
Phoebe:(stepping forward.): We saw her orb and heal.
PATTY: Wh…
PHOEBE: We need to ask you something, Mom. And we need you to give us a truthful answer.
PATTY: Phoebe, I don’t know….
Phoebe: Did you and Sam have a daughter?
Prue: (flinging an angry hand towards Cole.) He claims that The Source thinks that we have another sister. I need to hear it from you. Do we have another sister? (folds her arms, but Patty remains silent.) Mom? (She doesn’t speak.) Mom, tell her that this isn’t true.
(Patty hangs her head.)
Piper (shaking): So…so then it’s t…true?
(Patty nods.)
Patty: We couldn’t let The Elders find out. There was no telling what they might do. Take her away, banish her powers…or worse. They could have recycled Sam. They may have token your powers for all we knew. So I used very powerful magic to cover up the pregnancy and you girls were so young that you thought mommy was only getting a little fat. And when she was born, Sam and I took her to a local church. We were the only ones who ever knew. And Grams, of course.
Cole (whispering): The apple doesn’t fall far from the forbidden tree, I see.
(Piper turns to give Cole a cold stare and Phoebe jabs his side.)
Prue: No….
Patty (sharply): Prudence! Listen to me. She's my daughter. And because she's a fellow witch, she's your sister. A baby sister. If Cole is right, and The Source is after her, you have to protect her.
Prue (yelling): I can’t believe you would hide something like this from us! From me! We’re your daughters; we had a right to know! I had a right to know! Grams should have.
Patty: We couldn’t tell you! Before Piper and Leo, it was forbidden for whitelighters and witches to fall in love…let alone have children. (Patty reaches out to Prue) Prue…. Grams promised to remain silent.
Prue: Don’t. You have no right to come in her and tell me after all these years…. I forgot to tell you that you have a sister and the reason that mom and dad divorced was because I had an affair. That is why he left and we didn’t see him for years!
(Prue turns away from her mother. Patty steps out of the circle of candles and becomes solid. She grabs Prue’s shoulder, turning Prue to face her.)
Patty: You have to go to her. She’s your sister. Your flesh and blood. Evil will stop at nothing to destroy her.
Prue: Why should we help you fix your mistake?
Patty: Why should you punish your baby sister for my mistake? Besides I did love your father and this was one of the reasons for the divorce, but it goes further then that.
Phoebe (heading for the door.) Well, I don’t know about you two, but I’m going to go find her.
(Piper looks between Prue and Phoebe, and then hesitantly runs after Phoebe.)
Piper: Phoebe, wait! I’m coming with you.
Prue: Piper!
Piper (shaking her head:) I’m sorry, Prue. But this girl is our sister. We deserve to know her just as much as she deserves to know us. Besides, I’m not about to sit back and let Shax find her first. We’ll talk about how to find her in the car.
(Piper and Phoebe leave. After a beat, Prue turns away from her mother and begins to walk towards the doorway. Then she stops and turns around.)
Prue: I just want to make one thing clear. I’m not doing this because I’m interested in another sister; I’m doing this to save her life. It’s my job to protect the innocent, and that’s all she is to me. Just another innocent. As for you, Mom. I don’t want to see you again.
(She leaves. Leo, Cole, and an awkward look as Patty starts to break down.)
[Cut to P3. Paige is dancing Shane. The club is hopping - a hot band lights up the place. The song ends, the crowd cheers, then Paige and Shane drifts over to their table and sit. Paige looks distracted, distant.]
Shane: You all right?
Paige: Me? Yeah, why?
Shane: Well, you seem... a little quieter than usual. That's all.
Paige: What makes you think I'm not like this all of the time?
Shane: Well, we've been dating for a month now. So, I think I'd know. (To a passing waitress) Uh, hey, can we get a couple of long necks?
Waitress: Sure.
Paige: (To waitress) Make mine a mineral water, please?
Waitress: Mm-mmm.
Paige: (To waitress) Thanks. (The waitress notes the order and leaves.) So much for how well you know me. I don't drink. Don’t you remember me telling you all this.
Shane: No, Do you want to go someplace else, or…?
Paige: No, no, no, I like it here. Ever since…
Shane: Ever since what?
Paige: Ever since, I found my sisters and that one of them owns his club. (Pause) All right, but if I tell you all about Paige. So my sad story is that I'm adopted; only it's not so sad because I loved my parents, God rest. So after they died, I went searching for my birth mother, hoping to get some answers. (She begins to doodle on a napkin.) I went to the police, found the church I got dumped at... I checked around. I figured she must've lived near here, you know? They even thought I might've been related to the Halliwell sisters and it turned out that they were right and they are the best siblings that I could ever ask for. I never got to meet my big sister Prue till today and I’m having the worst case of Déjà vu.
Shane: I’m so happy for you.
Paige: Yeah, well Prue and I haven’t got off on the right foot yet and neither of them now. I hope to change that before I leave or that could change my future.
(The waitress brings them their drinks, allowing Paige to lean back, try to end this painful topic. Shane, though, cares, wants to know more.)
Waitress: Here you are.
Paige: Thanks.
Waitress: You're welcome
Shane: Change your future how?
Paige: I mean spending time with them and when they have kids I want them to know about Aunt Paige. I love my sisters, I want them to know about me and I have always been an only child. I always wanted siblings and now that I know I have three, I want to be a part of their life. (Shane, touched, shuts her up by leaning in and giving her a kiss. She responds, and then pulls back slightly.) I’m sorry Shane, but I can’t do this. I’m sorry, but I’m seeing someone else.
Shane: What do you mean your seeing someone else? Are you cheating on me?
Paige: No, but I feel like I am cheating on him.
Shane: I can’t believe this! I thought you were different from other girls. How long has this been going on!
(A few people stare at them.)
Paige: I’ve been married a little over a year.
Shane: You’re married to! I already got out of a bad relationship once already when the girl cheated on me. Now I’m helping a woman super cheat on her husband!
Paige: I’m so sorry that I led you on.
Shane: It’s over. I never want to see you again!
(Shane hurriedly tosses a twenty on the table. He leaves.)
(Tears well up in Paige’s eyes.)
Paige: I can’t believe that I couldn’t end things better with him a second time in a row.
(The plan to met Phoebe pops into her head. She gets up, wipes her eyes and heads for the roof. The cocktail napkin Paige was doodling on had a drawing of a rough version of the triquetra with a fourth arch, the Power of Four.)
[Scene: Skyscraper building. Phoebe, bundled up in the observation room, looks out through the binoculars. Cole approaches from behind, handing Phoebe a thermostat cup of coffee.]
Cole: Here. (Phoebe lowers the binoculars, turns to take the cup.)
Phoebe: Oh, thanks. I think this is the right place. But maybe we should try one of the other rooftops just to make sure.
Cole: Or maybe we should follow your first instincts and stay right here.
Phoebe: Okay. But, what if I'm wrong? Our baby sister gets killed.
Cole: Maybe you should check in with Prue or Piper. (He hugs her from behind.)
Phoebe: Yeah. (She pulls out her cell and calls Prue, who is across town wandering alley ways. Cole snuggles from behind.)
(Scene: Down town alley way, Prue Halliwell is walking around a dark cornor. Trash is thrown here and there. A hobo is sleeping around the bin. Prue’s cell phone rings. She takes it out of her pocket and flips it opened. She sees its Phoebe on her caller ID.)
Prue: Phoebe. Did you fine her?
[Scene: Skyscraper building.]
Phoebe: Not yet. I was wondering if you had any luck.
(Scene: Down town alley way.)
Prue: None. What about Piper?
[Scene: Skyscraper building.]
Phoebe: I’ll call her right now. (She hangs up and dials Piper’s cell.)
[Scene: Another Skyscraper building across town. Piper holds her own binoculars as Leo waits to orb the sisters to the same place. Piper’s cell goes off.)
Piper: Hello.
[Scene: Skyscraper building.]
Phoebe: Piper, I still haven’t seen her and neither has Prue. What about you guys?
[Scene: Skyscraper building across town.]
Piper: Zip, notta. We’ll keep you posted though.
[Scene: Skyscraper building.]
Phoebe: Keep me… (Cole cuts her off.)
Cole: Ooh, looks like your instincts were right.
Phoebe: We've gotta shimmer over there! (She turns and raises binoculars.)
Cole: And tell her what? She probably tell us that she doesn’t need are help. I think we should stay right here till then. (They wait as Paige, obvious to the looming danger, walks over to the center of the heli-pad.)
Paige: I like an element of danger. (She wants to try and lure Shax to her by showing her vulnerability with out thinking that there is any danger for him. She lets go of his hand, then spins around, arms out wide, looking up at the stars, free.) Oh. Look at the stars. They're so beautiful! They make me feel... free and I sound certifiably insane talking to myself. Good job, Paige. Way to go. (She takes off her jacket slightly.) Meanwhile, Phoebe lowers the binoculars and turns away. Cole is still looking.)
Phoebe: All right, any ideas?
Cole: A couple. (Phoebe smacks him.)
Phoebe: I meant about what we do now. I mean, we can't just keep watching, it's not right.
(Cole takes the binoculars from Phoebe and takes a look.)
Cole: You're right. We shouldn't just keep watching. (Phoebe blocks his view.)
Phoebe: Okay, very good. (A moving tornado materializes out of thin air and races toward the unsuspecting lovers. The demon, Shax, appears and fires a concussive blast. Paige opens her eyes at the last second and sees it coming toward her.)
Paige: O god!!
(Paige screams as she holds out her hand.)
Paige: Wind energy ball!
(She sends it back on Shax and it barely wounds him.)
Paige: Phoebe, where are you?
(Scene: Skyscraper building.)
Phoebe: Leo
(She sees Shax start to make another wind energy ball.)
Phoebe: Leo!
(Scene: P3 roof top.) Paige: Evil wind that blows. That which forms below… (It doesn’t seem to have an affect on him.) God, I can’t remember the rest.
(Shax throw another concussive blast and Paige orbs out. The ball misses and hits the wall behind her, leaving a huge scorch mark. Shax looks on in confusion as she orbs back in. Paige takes a horrifying look at Shax and runs to the roof access tower. Shax turns back into a tornado and follows.)
Cole: Come on! (Cole grabs her and shimmers out with her.)
[Cut to Paige, running for her life, scampers down the stairs onto the catwalk then stops as she hears the ominous sound of the tornado approaching. She slowly turns to see Shax standing there. But before he can throw another concussive blast, he stops as he sees Cole and Phoebe shimmer in. Paige turns, just in time to see the tail end of the shimmer.]
Paige: Phoebe hurry, say the spell?
Phoebe: Get outta here! Hurry! Go! Go!
Paige: I’m not going anywhere tell me talk.
(Cole fires an energy ball at Shax, but it barely fazes him. He fires another one as Paige hides behind them.)
Cole: Say the spell, damn it!
Phoebe: Evil wind that blows, that which forms below. No longer may you dwell. Death takes you with this spell. (Shax, though, manages to get off a concussive blast at Cole, which knocks him over the stairway rail. Just as Shax, in agony starts to turn around and blows up in a showcase of lights. Phoebe, panic- stricken, runs to the edge. Cole plummets five stories, but just before he pancakes, he recovers enough to shimmer out.) Cole! (Cole shimmers next to Phoebe, who gasps and emotionally hugs him, afraid she almost lost him.) That was too close...
Cole: It's okay, I'm all right.
(Leo orbs in with Piper and Prue.)
Prue: Is it over?
Phoebe: Yes, where the hell were you guys?
Leo: I heard your call and I orbed Piper to find Prue. We went to the building next door and you were gone. I sensed that you were here.
Paige: Thank god that you were there Phoebe.
(They all turn to her.)
Phoebe: Paige, how come you just stood there after Shax throw the first wind energy ball? Why didn’t you run? He could have killed you? Why didn’t you come to us for help?
Paige: Well I tried to say the vanquishing spell and it seemed to have no affect on him. So I ran and I tried to talk to you all but Prue keep using her powers on me.
Piper: I told you to give her a chance.
Prue: Okay, I’m sorry. I should have been grateful that you healed me earlier. I should have given you a chance. Will you forgive me?
Paige: Yeah, I want to have a nice start with my big sister.
Prue: About that… (Piper puts her hand over Prue’s mouth.)
Piper: She can answer all are questions at home. Yet answer one. Is Shax dead for good?
Paige: By the way he acted after Phoebe said the spell. I can safely say that he’s gone.
(Scene: manor. Living room sofa. Paige is sitting on the sofa with Phoebe on her right and Piper on her left. Leo is pacing in front of the sofa as Prue sit in a chair across from the sofa.)
Paige: So, she gave me these bottles to get me back and forth through time. I’m supposed to save all the innocents that were lost over the years.
Phoebe: I can’t believe that I’m no longer the youngest. (She smiles and squeezes Paige’s hand.) I always dreamed of having a little sister to boss around.
Prue: Phoebe!
Phoebe: What Prue, I’m siked that we have another sister.
Prue: Stop saying that.
Piper: Can we please not fight in front of our guest. (Prue and Phoebe look at each other and Prue turns to Paige.)
Prue: So, you came back to this time. Why…(Flash back. Paige: I think thanks will do, because if I hadn’t come back to this day when I did, you would have died for the second time this day Prue. Prue: I died? (Her lips seemed to tremble) The flash back ends.) It was me that died right?
(Paige stays silent not knowing if she should answer her.)
Prue: Answer me!
Paige: Yeah, not only you but also Dr. Griffiths as well. Leo didn’t make it in time to save both you and Piper. By the time he got to you, it was to late, your soul had already moved on. It broke it heart and I don’t think that he ever got over not saving you.
Prue: I can’t believe that I came this close to biting the dust.
Piper: The important thing is that she stopped it from happening.
Paige: Well I better be going.
Piper: I’ll walk you to the door.
(They both get up and head for the door.)
Phoebe: Don’t be a stranger.
Prue: Wait.
(Piper and Paige stop under the chandelier and turn to her as she walks up to them.)
Prue: I wanted you to know that I’m glade that you told me that I died.
(They give her a strange look.)
Prue: I’ll be more careful from now on. I know now that I can’t make fighting demons my whole life. Thanks for saving my life…. sis.
(Paige smiles as Prue holds out her hand and Paige shakes it as Piper pats Prue on the back. Phoebe and Leo share a smile as a bright blue shines over the girls. A jingling sound rips into Paige’s head.)
Phoebe: Leo, what’s happening?
Leo: The Power of Four, that’s what’s happening.
(The light fades and the three girls look at each other as the jingle dies down. Phoebe walks up to her sisters.)
Phoebe: Reunited at last. Just like mom wanted it.
(Piper notices that Paige’s eyes are glassy.)
Piper: Paige, are you okay.
Paige: I have to go.
Phoebe: Why you just got here. We have so much catching up to do.
Paige: We’ll have plenty of time to bond.
Prue: She’s right, we can pick up in the morning.
(Paige heads for the door and orbs as she runs.)
[Scene: Underworld. The Source appears before the Oracle.]
The Source: My assassin failed. The witch is alive.
Oracle: Yes, I know.
The Source: You told me her future was short-lived. You told me-
Oracle: I told you only that it appeared to be short-lived. Seeing into the future is not always exact, especially when magical forces are at play.
The Source: The Power of Four is strong. She'll be almost untouchable now that she's reunited with her new sisters. I warned you!
Oracle: Wait, you could still have her on your side. I could help you.
The Source: No, more chances. My patience has waxed cold for your continuing failures. I have contacted The Seer.
(A black woman wearing a red cloak and swirl earrings enters from the darkness.)
Oracle: Please, I beg of you!
The Seer: Don’t beg, it’s pathetic and a show of weakness. Have some dignity.
(The Source out stretches his hand and the Oracle screams as she shrinks. Her skin glows scaly and her tongue splits into two. Standing where the Oracle did is a slithering snake. The Seer laughs as she picks up the yellow python.)
The Seer: She will make a great pet.
(Scene: Paige’s apartment. INT the living room. Paige orbs in and still runs. She stops as she sees that she is home. She looks around for the bottles and spots them on the coffee table. She runs over to the coffee table and picks up the bottles. She places the blue bottle in her pocket and pops the lid of the green bottle. She takes a sip and waits for something to happen as she stuffs the green bottle into her pocket. A date appears in her head as the room starts to move behind her, as we move to the Golden Gate Bridge. The sun comes up and goes down as the day stops on May 26, 1999.)
[Inside manor. Phoebe's reading the Book of Shadows. Paige orbs in by the same wall that she stopped Prue and Piper from crashing through.]
Paige: Where am I now?
Phoebe: The devil's sorcerer, Tempus. He can manipulate time anyway he chooses.
Paige: Phoebe….
Piper: Does it say how to vanquish him?
(She looks around and sees she’s in the manor. She takes a look by the edge of the wall.)
Phoebe: Uh, take him out of the time that he's in. What ever that means.
(Rodriguez kicks open the door and throws lightning at Prue, but Piper pushes her out of the way just in time and they fall to the floor. Andy runs in.)
Andy: No!!
(He shoots at Rodriguez and Rodriguez throws lightning at him.)
Phoebe: Andy!
(Andy flies through the air and hits a glass cabinet. Piper freezes Rodriguez.)
Piper: Are you okay?
Phoebe: Yeah, is Prue okay?
Piper: Yeah, she's out cold. (They see Andy and run over to him. Piper feels his pulse.) Oh my God. He's dead.
Paige: I see that this is Andy. He won’t be dead for long.
(She takes the green bottle out of her pocket.)
Paige’s head voice: Did she say two drops to rewind a mistake. Hope so…
(She pops the top and takes two sips. She puts the top back on and the room starts to move back.)
