[Scene: Manor. Foyer. PRUE and PHOEBE HALLIWELL enter from the dining room. PHOEBE is wearing a black women’s suit with heals and carrying a briefcase in one hand an apple streusel muffin in the other. PRUE is still wearing her pajamas and holding a mug of coffee.]

PRUE: I still don’t understand the get up. (teasingly) You look way too professional, Pheebs.

PHOEBE: (glares) Funny, Prue. Laura said that I could start to observe her in action. It wouldn’t be appropriate for me to be wearing my usual.

PRUE: (laughing) Yeah, especially if the client is a teenage boy. You wouldn’t be helping him with his problems. (She takes a sip of her coffee.) Just causing a few more.

(PHOEBE gives PRUE another glare.)

PHOEBE: Thanks for the support.

(Just then, PAIGE MATTHEWS strides down the stairs in khaki pants and a nice top. She spots her sisters and the muffin in PHOEBE’s hand.)

PAIGE: You didn’t take the last one, did you?

PHOEBE: (defensively) No, and why are you both picking on me?

PAIGE: I’m not picking on you. (She looks at PHOEBE’s outfit.) What are you wearing?

PHOEBE: Ugh!

PRUE: (laughing) Phoebe’s sitting in with her boss.

(The moment Prue finishes the last word, a female warlock blinks in behind PHOEBE. The WARLOCK throws out her hands and sends a ripple of energy toward PHOEBE, which hits her and forces her forward, crashing into PAIGE. They both fall to the floor. PRUE turns around and throws out her hand, sending the WARLOCK flying through the air. She goes over the couch in the living room. PRUE goes over to her sisters and gives them a hand.)

PHOEBE: They always have the worst timing!

(The WARLOCK stands up from the opposite side of the couch. Her eyes are blood shot and glaring at PRUE. Snarling, an athame appears in each hand. The WARLOCK flicks her wrist and both athames spin toward the sisters. All three duck as the athames spiral over their heads. As the girls straighten back up, the WARLOCK eyes them. No one moves for a second before the WARLOCK extends her arms once more in a pushing gesture. The ripple of energy knocks into the girls. PRUE gets hit with the most impact and goes sailing up over the stairs, crushing into the wall, and falling onto the first stair landing. PHOEBE and PAIGE hit the wall beside the stairs and slide to the floor.)

PAIGE: (groaning) Oh, that was totally uncalled for.

(PHOEBE and PAIGE slowly stand up. PHOEBE brushes out the wrinkles of her skirt and spots a long tear.)

PHOEBE: (angry) Hey, this suit is new! (She runs toward the WARLOCK and levitates into the air. Before PHOEBE’s outstretched leg can connect, the WARLOCK blinks out.) Uh oh. (She falls down on the ground, hearing another tear. She groans.) I hate when they do that.

(The WARLOCK blinks back in with a smile, in front of PAIGE. PAIGE looks panicky and her eyes spot a lamp. She outstretches her hand.)

PAIGE: Lamp! (Starring at the table lap in the corner of the room, she starts to look even more nervous.) LAMP! (Nothing happens and PAIGE slowly turns to look at the smiling WARLOCK.)

WARLOCK: Perfect. (She extends her arm again, sending PAIGE back into the wall with more force. The WARLOCK looks around her to observe the damage. Her eyes settle on PHOEBE who looks up at the WARLOCK.) Catch me if you can. (She blinks out, leaving only the sound of laughter behind.)

PAIGE: (mumbling) What happened to my power?

(PHOEBE gets up and spots PRUE still lying on the stairs. She runs over and up the stairs, kneeling beside her sister.)

PHOEBE: Leo!

Act One

[Scene. Manor. Stairs. PRUE is lying unconscious on the stair landing. Phoebe is kneeling on one side of her, PAIGE is behind PHOEBE, and LEO WYATT is kneeling on the other side. His hands are above her head as a glowing light emits from them. A moment passes and the glow fades. PRUE groans and her hand rises to touch her head.]

PRUE: Ow!

(PHOEBE and LEO stand. LEO extends his hand out to PRUE, who grabs it, letting him lift her to her feet.)

PRUE: Thanks. (She looks at her sisters.) Are you two okay?

(PHOEBE nods and PAIGE has a look like she’s somewhere far away.)

PRUE: (to LEO) How’s Piper?

LEO: She’s doing pretty well. She joined a prenatal yoga class.

(The Charmed Ones and LEO head down the stairs and into the living room. PRUE and PAIGE take a seat on the couch, PHOEBE sits in the sofa, and LEO stands in the middle.)

PAIGE: That’s good. It’s supposed to help with childbirth and calm you. Definitely something fit for Piper.

(LEO nods and looks between the sisters.)

LEO: So, what happened this morning?

PHOEBE: Oh, just the usual. Wake up, grab breakfast, head out to work, get derailed by a warlock. (She pouts.) And I have a very important day today!

PRUE: She came out of nowhere and used some strong energy to knock us down. It was almost like the power I had in the future.

PAIGE: And, she took my power!

(The others turn to star at PAIGE.)

PRUE: (shocked) What?

PAIGE: I tried to call for the lamp, but it didn’t move. And the look on her face… I think she knew it would happen. She said, “Perfect.”

(PRUE looks at PAIGE for a moment and then turns to LEO.)

PRUE: Can you go check with the Elders?

(LEO nods and orbs out.)

PHOEBE: I’ll go check out The Book. (She gets up from the sofa.)

PRUE: (commanding) No. Paige and I will check The Book. You need to get to work.

(PHOEBE looks down at her torn skirt and sighs.)

PHOEBE: Oh yeah. I forgot. (She pauses and looks up at her sisters with a sly smile.) Anyone have a skirt I can wear?

[Scene. Piper and Leo’s House. Master Bedroom. PIPER HALLIWELL walks out of the bathroom, wearing a robe. She looks around the room with a frown and sighs.]

PIPER: Gone again. (She walks over to the closet and spots LEO’s cell phone on his nightstand.) I bought those for a reason. (She starts to go through her clothes and her right hand automatically rests on her small bump.) Let’s go check out the club, shall we?

[Scene. Underworld. The Queen’s Lair. THE QUEEN is sitting on her throne, holding her crystal ball. The WARLOCK is standing in front of her.]

THE QUEEN: And?

WARLOCK: (grinning) Her power is truly gone. (pause) But I don’t see why you didn’t want me to finish -

THE QUEEN: (commanding) Silence. (She looks into her crystal ball. It’s cloudy, but THE QUEEN smiles.)

WARLOCK: (mumbles so that THE QUEEN cannot hear) Stupid Oracle. (to THE QUEEN) Your (pause) Highness, patience will not get you anywhere. I can kill The Charmed Ones. They’re weak and the youngest is defenseless.

THE QUEEN: Oh, on the contrary. (She is still staring into her ball.) Patience will win out in the end.

WARLOCK: (impatiently) I disagree! The Source himself had many chances and all he did was sit on his ass. (Her red eyes look at THE QUEEN sitting on the throne.)

THE QUEEN: That, he did, but I am not like him. Do not undermine my abilities! (She looks at the WARLOCK with a smile.) But, if you believe you know what’s best, then continue on.

WARLOCK: Gladly. (She blinks out.)

THE QUEEN: (smirking) Your impatience will be your end.

[Scene. Manor. Attic. PRUE is standing behind the stand, flipping through the pages of The Book of Shadows. PAIGE is pacing in front of the stand. PRUE stops flipping.]

PRUE: Here we go! “Laythesis. An experienced warlock who is employed by leaders of the Underworld to gain information or take out key figures of the good community. She has been around for centuries and possesses telekinetic abilities and powerful energy ripples.”

PAIGE: Is that it?

PRUE: Beside an image, yes, that’s it. (She looks up at PAIGE and shrugs.) Nothing about her stealing powers, but she is a warlock, so it’s still possibly.

PAIGE: Do you think she took my power?

PRUE: I don’t know. It doesn’t seem like her MO or like the ways I know about warlocks stealing powers. Do you think maybe it was you or something? You weren’t clear enough?

(PAIGE shakes her head and comes over to stand beside PRUE.)

PAIGE: It says she’s employed to kill.

PRUE: Maybe, but it also says she gains information - maybe about your powers. It didn’t feel like she was really after us.

PAIGE: I don’t know. She said, “Catch me if you can,” before she left. She’ll be back.

[Scene: Psychologist’s office. The waiting area is empty. PHOEBE is sitting behind her desk and filing through folders before her session. The phone rings and PHOEBE picks it up without looking away from the paper.]

PHOEBE: Office of Dr. Laura Brenton. Phoebe speaking. How may I help you?

COLE’s VOICE: Phoebe? Are you okay?

(PHOEBE blinks and drops the folder she’s looking in.)

PHOEBE: Cole! (pause) Of course, why?

COLE’s VOICE: You didn’t pick up your cell.

(PHOEBE looks at her briefcase, opens it, and pulls out her cell phone. It’s off.)

PHOEBE: Oh, sorry. I turned it off. So, how’s Boston?

COLE’s VOICE: Good. We have a few meetings tomorrow and the court date’s tomorrow. (pause) Are you sure everything is okay, Phoebe?

PHOEBE: Of course. You don’t have to worry about me, Cole.

COLE’s VOICE: You’re a Charmed One and my girlfriend. I have to worry.

PHOEBE: I’m a big witch. I can handle it. I’ve got my sisters. (pause) Just like this morning.

COLE’s VOICE: (concerned) What?

PHOEBE: Relax, Cole. Everyone’s okay. She left before she could really do anything.

COLE’s VOICE: She? Who was it?

PHOEBE: I don’t know - a warlock. Hell of an energy punch, but she left before the fighting really began.

COLE’s VOICE: What do you mean an energy punch?

PHOEBE: Um, like a wave of energy. Kinda like Prue’s telekinesis, but more-so like getting the energy knocked out of you.

COLE’s VOICE: (muttering) Laythesis.

PHOEBE: (confused) What?

COLE’s VOICE: Phoebe, you aren’t safe. I’m going to come pick you up.

PHOEBE: (shouting) NO! (lowering her voice) You can’t, Cole. I’m working. Laura’s letting me sit in with her today. I can’t go anywhere. Why don’t you to the Manor and fill Prue and Paige about this - Laythesis or whatever.

COLE’s VOICE: Okay. But watch out, Phoebe.

PHOEBE: (smiling) I’m psychic, remember?

(The door to DR. BRENTON’s office opens.)

PHOEBE: Good-bye, Cole. I love you.

[Scene. Manor. Foyer. PRUE is now dressed and holding three vials. She slips them into her pocket. She looks at her watch.]

PRUE: (shouting) Come on, Paige! Let’s wrap this up!

(PAIGE comes in behind PRUE.)

PAIGE: Alright, already.

(Shimmers appear before them, revealing COLE TURNER. PRUE raises an eyebrow.)

PRUE: Shouldn’t you be in Boston?

(COLE looks between the sisters.)

COLE: Going somewhere?

PRUE: (sarcastically) Just doing our job. More than I can say for you.

COLE: You aren’t planning on going after her, are you?

PAIGE: After who?

COLE: Laythesis.

PAIGE: How do you know about here?

COLE: (ignoring the question) You’ll need the Power of Three.

PRUE: Why? The Book didn’t say anything about that. Plus, she’s only a warlock. Now that we know her powers, we can take care of her.

COLE: Don’t underestimate her, Prue. She’s smart and doesn’t give up. Her powers have probably increased since the last I saw her. You don’t understand what you’re up against.

(PRUE glares and folds her arms. COLE looks between the two and sighs.)

COLE: At least wait for Phoebe.

PRUE: Fine.

COLE: (stunned) Really?

PRUE: Yeah. What did you expect – a fight or something? If you say hold off, we will. You can get back to your business trip now.

COLE: Okay. Let me know if you need back up.

PRUE: Uh huh.

(COLE shimmers out. PRUE rolls her eyes. PAIGE turns to look at PRUE, her face full of confusion.)

Act Two

[Scene. Underworld. PRUE and PAIGE are standing in a cave. PRUE pulls out the vials and hands one to PAIGE.]

PAIGE: Okay, I don’t get it. What was the thing with you and Cole?

PRUE: I just needed to get him out of there, so I agreed.

(PAIGE nods and the two leave the cave to find their warlock. A few moments pass.)

PAIGE: Ugh. Remind me again why I’m creeping around the Underworld on my day off.

PRUE: Evil to vanquish. Don’t have time for your groans. Plus, you said she stole your powers, so –

PAIGE: Yeah, yeah, yeah. (They turn a corner in silence.) And what if she’s not here and we run into some other friends?

PRUE: We’re the Charmed Ones. We vanquish their asses.

(PAIGE rolls her eyes as they continue. Suddenly, PRUE stops and holds up her hand for PAIGE to keep quiet.)

PRUE: (whispering) Do you hear that?

PAIGE: Hear what?

(PRUE leads the way quietly. As they get closer to a cave, muffled voices are heard. PRUE peers into the cave to see two demons sitting in front of a fire. PAIGE follows her sister’s lead and peeks.)

PAIGE: (whispering) What are they saying?

(PRUE motions with her hand for PAIGE to be quiet.)

[Cut to the two demons. They are talking amongst themselves in front of a fire.]

DEMON #1: She defied The Queen’s order and got over confident. She’s going to try to take out the Charmed Ones herself. (angry) Her kind are so pathetic, thinking they know the right tricks. She’s no different.

DEMON #2: Sounds like Laythesis.

DEMON #1: I wouldn’t be surprised if the Charmed Ones aren’t already ready for her.

(PRUE and PAIGE enter the cave.)

PRUE: Wow, word spreads fast.

(The two demons turn around and materialize energy balls. PAIGE lifts up her hand, showing the vial.)

PAIGE: Ah ah ah, down boys.

PRUE: Let’s have a chat, shall we?

(The demons look at each other and share a look.)

DEMON #2: What do you want?

PRUE: We just overheard you talking about Laythesis, and we were wondering whether you knew where she was.

DEMON #1: Why would we tell you?!

(DEMON #2 closes his palm, extinguishing the energy ball. DEMON #1 stares at him.)

DEMON #2: What’s in it for us?

PRUE: We won’t vanquish you.

DEMON #2: How can we be sure?

PAIGE: (off-handedly) Fine. (She raises her arm, ready to throw the potion.)

DEMON #2: (hurriedly) Okay, fine.

DEMON #1: (angry) What? (He continues to stare at his friend.)

DEMON #2: We have no reason to protect her whereabouts.

PRUE: Exactly. Why should you two demons care about some worthless warlock? (She nods to PAIGE, who lowers her arm.)

DEMON #2: It’s a good trade.

THE QUEEN's VOICE: I don’t think so.

(The demons get engulfed into flames and vanish. PRUE and PAIGE turn around, startled. THE QUEEN is stand with a smirk spread across her lips. PRUE thrusts out her arm, but before she can use her power, she flies back against the cave wall.)

THE QUEEN: I wouldn’t waste your energy if I were you.

(PAIGE rushes over to PRUE and helps her up. PRUE glares at THE QUEEN.)

THE QUEEN: I’m not here to hurt you. In fact, I’m more than happy to lead you to Laythesis, but first, (pause) I think you’ll want to hear what I have to say.

PRUE: You’re retiring?

THE QUEEN: Humor. You humans are full of it. (pause) It concerns your sister’s power. (She turns to PAIGE.) I’m surprised your first instinct was to implicate evil. (She looks between the two and smiles.) Or not.

(PAIGE looks at THE QUEEN.)

PAIGE: What are you talking about?

THE QUEEN: (smirking) I’m an Oracle. I see everything.

(PRUE shakes her head and instantly throws her telekinetically across the cave.)

PRUE: Bet you didn’t see that coming. (She puts her hand on PAIGE’s shoulder.) Go!

[Scene. P3. MONICA SINCLAIR is sitting on a stool at the bar. A folder is open in front of her, with sheets surrounding it. She has a pencil in her hand. The entrance door is heard opening and closing and footsteps pound agaisnt the stairs. MONICA looks behind her as PIPER walks in.]

MONICA: Morning, Piper. How are you feeling?

PIPER: Nauseous. But other than that, I’m okay. (She sighs.)

(MONICA puts the pencil down, gets up, and takes the stool beside her down for PIPER to sit in. They both have a seat.)

MONICA: Really? You seem kind of … down.

PIPER: Well, I do feel a little alone. (She pulls out a bag of Saltines. She opens it and pulls out one.) Want one?

(MONICA grabs a cracker from the bag and they both munch them.)

MONICA: You have three sisters and a husband. Is it the move?

PIPER: Maybe. I’ve always lived with them, especially Prue. It’s nice to finally have my own place with my new family, but they’re always busy, and Leo’s work keeps him away at odd times.

MONICA: His handyman job?

(PIPER nods. MONICA looks confused but doesn't press.)

MONICA: Well, what about getting in touch with some of your friends?

PIPER: Friends? (She sighs.) Yeah, that’s a great idea. Over the last few years, I’ve lost touch with a few. I think it’s time to get back to the way things used to be.

(MONICA looks a little confused at the statement, but just shrugs it off.)

MONICA: How about lunch? Call some of the girls up and we’ll have lunch at (pause) Quake.

PIPER: That sounds like fun. Are you done here for now?

(MONICA nods and puts the papers into the folder, shutting it.)

MONICA: Yeah. I just have to make sure we're ready for The Flaming Lips tonight. (She gets up.) You really know how to book 'em.

[Scene: Psychologist’s office. Dr. Brenton’s office. PHOEBE is sitting on a chair with DR. LAURA BRENTON and her fifteen-year-old patient DANIEL ACHIBALD, who’s taking random glances at PHOEBE. DR. BRENTON nods to PHOEBE, in an okay fashion.]

PHOEBE: Um, so Daniel, what do you think about your stepdad? Do you two get along?

(DANIEL blushes and looks down at the carpet. He sits very still and doesn’t answer. The room goes silent as DR. BRENTON jots down something. After a few moments, DANIEL sighs and looks up at PHOEBE. She’s wearing one of PAIGE’s black skirts and her legs are cross.)

DANIEL: (quietly) I guess.

PHOEBE: Do you approve of the marriage?

(DANIEL shrugs. PHOEBE looks over to her boss who nods again with a soft smile.)

PHOEBE: Has he ever hurt you, Daniel?

(DANIEL’s eyes fall to the floor again. He takes a deep breath and then suddenly stands up.)

DANIEL: No. I want to go now.

DR. BRENTON: Okay. That’s fine. (She and PHOEBE both stand up and DANIEL opens the door and marches out.)

Act Three

[Scene. Manor. Kitchen. PRUE turns the stove on underneath a potions pot. She starts to rummage through the cabinets, looking for ingredients to use for a vanquishing potion.]

PAIGE: What do you think she meant by that?

PRUE: I don’t know, Paige. Maybe it has to do with you gaining Cronokinesis.

PAIGE: What do you mean? I thought it was like a power advancement.

(LEO appears as blue lights disappear.)

LEO: Prue’s right.

(PAIGE looks at LEO with confusion spread across her face.)

LEO: When They decided to give you Chronokinesis, They also planned to strip you of your telekinetic orbing.

PAIGE: What?! Why?

LEO: With Prue already having telekinesis and you gaining chronokinesis, telekinetic orbing was no longer useful.

PAIGE: Of course it’s useful!

PRUE: No, Paige, it’s not. (She starts to mix ingredients.) Leo’s right. I’ve already got telekinesis, and it can do what you can, without the blaring lights surrounding the object.

PAIGE: Yeah, but –

PRUE: You should be thankful with what you have. It can really come in handy.

PAIGE: Oh, sure. Until I fall over from an overload. How will I be able to help then?

PRUE: Over the years as a witch, I’ve learned not to be picky and take things as it. Everything happens for a reason.

(LEO smiles at PRUE. PAIGE huffs a deep sigh. LEO then turns to the pot.)

LEO: What are you making?

PRUE: Vanquishing potion.

LEO: Have you figured out the warlock? I was too busy trying to figure out Paige’s power situation to ask them about her.

PRUE: (nods) Yeah, her name is Laythesis. She’s –

LEO: Dangerous.

PRUE: We can handle her. (A puff of smoke appears from the pot.) Especially now that we know what happened to Paige’s power, we won’t have to worry about it.

LEO: Maybe you (He stops.) I have to go. A charge needs me. Don’t do anything rash.

PRUE: Sure.

(LEO orbs out.)

[Scene. Boston. T.G.I.Friday’s restaurant. Cole and a few guys from the law firm are sitting at a table, drinking, eating, and talking. COLE takes his phone out of his pocket and sees that he has no missed calls. He frowns. One of the other lawyers, JASON MADISON, spots this.]

JASON: Waiting for a call from your girl, Turner?

[Scene. Quake. PIPER, MONICA, SHELIA MORRIS, and BECCA THOMAS are sitting around a circular table.]

BECCA: (smiling) It’s been so long, Piper. I’m glad you invited me. And it's great to see that you’re married and expecting. So much has changed since college.

MONICA: She's a busy bee. (chuckling) Always has something or another that's got to be done.

SHELIA: Well, I for one am so happy to be out of the house. Kids are in school and with Darryl on duty so much, a break with the ladies is so relaxing.

(PIPER places her hand on her stomach.)

PIPER: (sarcastically) Oh, I can’t wait until I feel like that.

(The girls laugh.)

[Scene. Psychologist’s office. Dr. Brenton’s office. PHOEBE and DR. BRENTON are alone. DR. BRENTON is sitting behind her desk and PHOEBE is in the same seat she was in during the session.]

DR. BRENTON: How did you know about his stepfather?

PHOEBE: I went through his file and it said that his parents divorced and his mother remarried recently. The trouble started around that time. (She pauses and looks up at her boss.) I had a friend back in high school who was similar to Daniel - acting out, partying, the works. We were in middle school and her mother’s boyfriend was abusive to her. He molested her for years before anyone found out. Whenever someone talked about him in front of her, she always got quiet.

DR. BRENTON: Great catch, Phoebe. Would you like to continue to stay with me during his sessions? I think we’re getting somewhere with him.

PHOEBE: (grinning) I’d love to!

DR. BRENTON: Great. And, the more we can get Daniel to open up, the better. Maybe you can share your friend’s story down the line.

(PHOEBE nods.)

[Scene. Manor. Kitchen. PRUE is filling up two vials of potion.]

PRUE: Ready?

PAIGE: (nods) Let’s vanquish this chick. (She grabs PRUE’s hand and orbs out.)

[Scene. Quake. Laythesis walks out from the bathroom and crosses by the table where PIPER and her friends are sitting. She smiles and she watches the powerless Halliwell.]

[Scene. Underworld. Cave. PRUE and PAIGE orb in and look around. PRUE groans.]

PRUE: Paige, this is the fifth lair you’ve orbed into and again she’s not here! Do you even know where you’re orbing around to?

PAIGE: Well, they all look the same, that’s all. I’m going to different lairs. I think. Plus, how am I supposed to know which one is her’s.

PRUE: Can’t you sense?

PAIGE: Uh, no. Do I look like Leo to you?

PRUE: You’re part whitelighter.

PAIGE: Whatever.

(PRUE looks around and sighs.)

PRUE: Let’s get back to the Manor. This is getting useless. (She grabs PAIGE’s hand and they orb out.)

[Time Lapse. Piper and Leo’s house. PIPER walks in to see LAYTHESIS standing in the entry way.]

LAYTHESIS: Hello. (She walks over and grabs PIPER.)

PIPER: Oh crap.

[Scene. Manor. Kitchen. PRUE and PAIGE are there, eating. The front door slams open and closed.]

PHOEBE’s VOICE: I love my job! (She walks into the kitchen to see her sisters and their unsatisfied faces.) Not a good day?

(PAIGE shakes her head.)

PAIGE: So, Leo came back with news about my power.

PHOEBE: Did the warlock get them?

PAIGE: Nope. They decided to exchange my telekinetic orbing for chronokinesis.

PHOEBE: Wow. At least the warlock doesn’t have it.

PRUE: But she’s still out there. We’ve been trying to hunt her down all day.

PHOEBE: Did Cole talk to you?

PRUE: He stopped by, but nothing useful.

PAIGE: Actually, he did say we needed the Power of Three.

PHOEBE: I’m ready to rock and roll. Do you have a vanquishing potion?

(PRUE hands a vial to Phoebe. As her fingers grasp the vial, she is hit with a premonition.)

[Premonition. Underworld. Laythesis’s Lair. PIPER is shackled to the cave wall. LAYTHESIS walks over with an athame and slides it across PIPER’s abdomen. PIPER screams out in pain as she begins to bleed. LAYTHESIS smiles.]

[Present. Manor. Kitchen. PHOEBE gasps as PRUE walks her over to the kitchen table.]

PRUE: What did you see.

PHOEBE: Piper.

[Scene. Boston. Hotel. COLE is in his room, which he is sharing with JASON. They are watching a baseball game on television when COLE hears Phoebe’s voice. COLE stands up and heads in the direction of his bedroom.]

COLE: Excuse me. I have to take this call. (He points to his cell phone and closes the door behind him. Then Cole shimmers out.)

[Scene. Manor. Kitchen. COLE shimmers in and looks at the Charmed Ones. PHOEBE is pale and when she sees him, she runs over and hugs him.]

COLE: What’s wrong?

PRUE: Can you find Laythesis?

COLE: Yes, but if she’s not coming back, then you should just leave her be.

PHOEBE: She has Piper. I just had a premonition. We have to save Piper and the baby. Please, Cole.

(Cole nods and extends his arms out for PRUE and PAIGE to grab hold. PRUE hands a vanquishing potion to PHOEBE and PAIGE, and the remaining sisters grab hold of COLE.)

[Scene. Underworld. Laythesis’s Lair. PIPER is shackled to the cave wall and LAYTHESIS walks over with an athame.]

LAYTHESIS: Where are your silly sisters? I expected the psychic to see this. (She laughs.)

PHOEBE’s VOICE: Got your wish, bitch.

(The cavalry is there. PRUE lets go of COLE and flicks her hand out, sending LAYTHESIS flying through the lair. PAIGE goes over to PIPER and tries to break her free.)

PAIGE: See, if I still had my telekinetic orbing, I’d orb the chains off you.

PIPER: What?

PAIGE: Oh, long story. Ask your husband. (PAIGE turns her head around to face Cole.) Hey, can you get her free while we deal with the warlock.

(COLE nods and walks over to PIPER. PAIGE leaves and stands by PRUE and PHOEBE, who’s in the middle. As LAYTHESIS gets up and is about to extend her arms out to cause an energy wave, the Charmed Ones throw their vials at the same time and a blast of energy explodes as the warlock is vanquish. PRUE, PHOEBE, and PAIGE land on their backsides. COLE and PIPER, who is free, hurry over and help them up.)

Act Five

[Scene. P3. PRUE, PHOEBE, and PAIGE are standing at the bar. PIPER is behind the bar, serving customers. She’s happy. The Flaming Lips are performing on stage.]

PHOEBE: You’re happy, especially for someone who was used as bait.

PIPER: Well, I knew you’d save me, so no worries. But, I did have lunch with friends today and I’m managing my club. I feel really good right now. Ignoring the nausea.

(The sisters laugh. Suddenly, they stop as MATTHEW CAPIELLO walks toward them.)

PIPER: (muttering) Oh, times like this, I wish I could blow him up.

PHOEBE: I cannot believe he’d show his face here. After last week –

(PRUE turns to PHOEBE.)

PRUE: What about last week?

PHOEBE: Piper and I saw him at the mall.

PRUE: Oh…

PIPER: Prue, are you okay? Do you want me to get rid of him. I can get Bruce to take care of him.

(PRUE doesn’t reply.)

PIPER: Prue?

PHOEBE: Prue?

(PRUE stands up from the bar stool.)

PRUE: I’ll take care of it.

PAIGE: Are you sure? I’d like to see Bruce kick him out, personally. Plus, we’ve had a stressful day. You don’t need this.

PRUE: I’m fine. I’ll handle this. (She walks away from the bar, toward where Matt is.)

[Scene. Underworld. The Queen’s Lair. She is staring into her crystal ball. A demon enters and begins to speak. THE QUEEN lifts her head and glares at the demon. In a flash of flames, the demon is vanquished and THE QUEEN looks back down into her crystal ball.]

[Scene. P3. PRUE is standing in fromt of MATT.]

PRUE: (cold and harsh) What are you doing here?

MATT: I wanted to see you, Prue. I’m sorry about the way things ended, but –

PRUE: I don’t want to hear excuses, Matt.

MATT: I know. I wish I could explain, but I can’t.

(PRUE looks hurt.)

PRUE: Always secrets with you. I don’t like them.

MATT: I know you don’t –

PRUE: You don’t know anything about me, Matt!

(MATT frowns and catches her eyes. PRUE immediately looks away.)

PRUE: Leave.

MATT: Prue, I –

PRUE: Now! (She raises her hand, ready to use her powers against him if necessary. He notices and walks away. PRUE watches him leave and a tear escapes before she can stop it.)
