FLASHFORWARD

FlashForward is an American science-fiction television series, which premiered on ABC on September 24, 2009. It is loosely based on the 1999 novel Flashforward by Canadian science fiction writer Robert J. Sawyer.

A mysterious event causes everyone on the planet to simultaneously lose consciousness for 137 seconds, during which people see what appear to be visions of their lives approximately six months in the future—a global “flashforward”. A team of Los Angeles FBI agents, led by Stanford Wedeck (Vance) and spearheaded by Mark Benford (Fiennes), begin the process of determining what happened, why, and whether it will happen again. Benford contributes a unique perspective on the investigation; in his flashforward, he saw the results of six months of investigation that he had done on the flashforward event, and he and his team use those clues to recreate the investigation.

Starring Joseph Fiennes, John Cho, Courtney B. Vance, Christine Woods, Zachary Knighton, Sonya Walger and LOST's Dominic Monaghan.

Since I've been watching Eastwick, I've seen previews for Flashforward, but it never really captured my interest. (I'm generally pretty selective in my TV viewing, which makes my very full TV viewing schedule pretty odd this year.)

And now with ABC cancelling Eastwick, I'm going back to my boycott of the network as soon as the final EW episode is aired, so I won't have a chance to ever get into FF.

Fair enough, we get Flashforward over here on FIVE and I really liked the premise so I decided to tune in. It's not quite what I hoped but I've grown quite attached to and while it's exactly the best thing on the tube, it's something to watch in my spare time.

I never got a chance to catch Eastwick, unfortunately.
