Dreajà Vu All Over Again
Teaser
[Scene: Manor. Attic. The door flies open and hits the wall so hard that a couple of shelves fall down. PRUE HALLIWELL storms in through the doorway towards the pedestal with the Book of Shadows. A clamor of footsteps can be heard from the hallway and then MATT CAPIELLO runs in, followed by PIPER HALLIWELL and PHOEBE HALLIWELL.]MATT: Prue, please! You have to listen to me! (PRUE holds her hand over the Book and the pages begin to turn furiously.)PRUE: (yelling) I was done listening to you well over a year ago! MATT: You don’t understand- PRUE: I understand that you’re a liar and a coward and I don’t want you in my life, and I sure as hell do not want you in my daughter’s life! She’s too good for you! MATT: But that’s the whole point! Prue, I did this all for you! You and- PRUE: Don’t give me that cliché line of crap. You’ve been lying to me since the very first day we met! You’ve done nothing for me. (MATT defiantly points towards PHOEBE.)MATT: I saved your sister. (PRUE jaw slackens slightly and the pages of the Book stop turning, one even stands straight up in the air under PRUE’s splayed fingers.)PIOER: (hesitantly) He’s right, Prue. He did save Phoebe…and- (The hardness returns to PRUE’s eyes and the pages begin to turn in the Book again.)PRUE: And he walked out on my daughter! MATT: I didn’t even know you were pregnant! PRUE: And yet you obviously found out at some point. (She folds her arms and glowers at him while the pages in the Book continue to turn.) Which means you were spying on me somehow - more lies I might add - and what do you do? Nothing! You were content to just stand back and do nothing! MATT: I wanted to see you, (he looks down) but then I saw you with Mitch and I…I didn’t want to get in the way. PRUE: Oh, please! If you really cared about us as you claim to, you wouldn’t have let another man stand in the way. MATT: That’s not true! I could see you were happy- PRUE: And what if I was? What if… (hesitantly) I am? MATT: Then that’s what I want for you. And Drea. PRUE: So why did you come back in the first place then? MATT: I wanted to protect her. PRUE: From what? MATT: From the evil that’s after her. From the future. PRUE: Oh, wonderful! (She throws up her hands.) Everyone wants to protect my child from the big bad future. First Melinda and Chris and now you! Just how do you know what’s going on in the future? (MATT and PIPER share a subtle look.)MATT: I have a reliable source. PRUE: Who? MATT: I can’t- PRUE: I’m gonna take a wild guess and bet you weren’t great in English, were you? If you want credibility, you really need to cite your sources. (The pages in the Book stop turning and PRUE looks down at the page.) You know what? Never mind. I guess there is only one way to get through to you. (She flicks her finger and the Book floats into the air.) I don’t need to hear anymore from you anyway. (The Book spins in the air to face MATT. The spell it is opened to is titled, “Prohibition Spell.”) I’m going to give you exactly one minute to get out of my home for the last time, or else I’ll be forced to use my magic on you again. MATT: You know you can’t use your powers like that. PRUE: (threateningly) Watch me. MATT: You know what? You’re right. Apparently there is only one way to get through. (He digs into his pocket.) This wasn’t part of the plan, you know. But I don’t want our daughter hurt because you can’t look beyond our past to see that I’m telling you the truth. (He pulls out a piece of paper and walks over to PIPER, shoving it at her.)PHOEBE: (suspiciously) What is that? (PIPER unfolds the paper.)PIPER: It looks like a… (She looks at MATT.) A spell? MATT: Read it. PRUE: Is this some kind of joke? You must be insane if you think she’s actually going to read it! MATT: Piper, please. PIPER: What will it do? MATT: It’ll reveal everything. [Cut to BIANCA PERRY. Her eyes fly open and she takes in a razor sharp gasp as she awakens from her unborn child's vision. Her hand is pressed tightly to her stomach. PAIGE MATTHEWS runs over to BIANCA’s side and touches her shoulder.]PAIGE: (worriedly) Are you alright? BIANCA: No. (She jerks away and PAIGE’s hand falls off her shoulder.) I have to find Chris! (She looks across the crypt, where PRUE is standing beside the playpen holding DREA HALLIWELL and staring over at PAIGE and herself. She turns her eyes back to PAIGE.)PAIGE: What do you mean? What’s going on? BIANCA: I don’t have time to explain! Are you comfortable being here alone? (PAIGE looks over at PRUE, who nods, and then looks back at BIANCA.)PAIGE: We’ll be fine. (BIANCA swiftly shimmers away.)Clickable Credits.

{SCENE: The song “Who Knew,” written by Pink, Max Martin, and Dr. Luke and sung by Pink, is heard as stock shots of San Francisco are shown while the Guest Credits are rolled.}
Act One
[Scene: Piper and Leo’s house. A silver Toyota Corolla is parked at the curb in front of the house. The brake lights turn off and the driver’s side door opens up. MATT gets out and runs up the driveway to the front door. He first rings the doorbell, but when nobody answers, he impatiently begins to knock. Still, there is no answer. Disgruntled, MATT pulls out his cell phone and begins dialing.]
[Scene: Manor. Kitchen. PIPER’s cell phone is lying on the table. It begins to vibrate and ring. The LCD screen lights up and reads “Private I.D.” No one comes in to answer the phone and finally it stops ringing. A red light on the phone begins to flash and the LCD screen lights up again to read, “5 Missed Calls!”]
[Scene: Massachusetts. Salem. Perry Crypt. PRUE is clutching DREA to her chest. She and PAIGE are standing next to the playpen where BABY MELINDA HALLIWELL is gumming the ear of a pink toy bunny and BABY CHRIS HALLIWELL is crawling around. BIANCA is no where in sight. PRUE begins to pace.]PAIGE: I sense you have something you want to talk about? PRUE: Not really. PAIGE: Well obviously something’s weighing on you. PRUE: Try got me pinned to the ground in a chokehold. PAIGE: Okay… (PRUE sighs.)PRUE: Can I ask you something? PAIGE: You know you can. PRUE: But will you answer me honestly? Just fresh cut honesty? PAIGE: (folding her arms curiously) Yes. PRUE: Do you ever regret it? PAIGE: Regret what? PRUE: Magic. And what it does to your life. PAIGE: No. PRUE: I said honestly! PAIGE: How do you know I’m not being honest? PRUE: Because you lost Glenn. PAIGE: I didn’t lose Glenn. Sure, it pushed us apart, but we got back together…and ultimately, my life as a Social Worker pushed us apart. PRUE: But your need to be a Social Worker stems from your need to help people as a whitelighter…in other words, magic. PAIGE: Maybe, maybe not. Maybe I’d still want to help people if I wasn’t half whitelighter? You can’t know that. (She shrugs.) Besides, I can’t really hate magic. It’s what brought me my family, isn’t it? PRUE: And what ultimately took it away. Mom and Sam had to give you up because of magic. They both were killed because of magic. And your parents- PAIGE: Died because of a freak accident. Magic didn’t cause their deaths, but it did save me so I could find you. As for our mother and my father, well, magic may have taken their lives…but then again, it brought them together too. Without magic, I couldn’t even exist. Nor could Chris or Melinda for that matter. (pause) Prue, where is all this coming from? What are we really talking about here? PRUE: We’re talking about how magic keeps hurting the people I love. (She looks down at her daughter.) My daughter has no father because of magic. And the man who should be her father, (she looks up and her eyes are watery) is dead because of magic. And now I find out I can’t even look forward to a happy future for her because for whatever reason, I’m also dead - most likely because of magic - and it’s because of magic that she’s gone evil! How does that even happen? (Her voice cracks.) W-what could be so…hideously awful in the future that my daughter has to find…comfort, in the arms of evil? (She wipes her running eyes with the back of her hand.)PAIGE: She’s not going to have to. (She moves to her sister and wraps her arms around her, carefully embracing DREA as well.)PRUE: (crying) That’s not the point! (She shakes as she cradles DREA.) I never knew I could love someone like this before and since she was born, I just want to protect her from (emphasizing) everything! PAIGE: I know- PRUE: No! (She breaks away from PAIGE.) You don’t! You really don’t. Until you become a mother, Paige, you can’t know. (She hugs DREA to her chest.) It’s this constant, paralyzing fear of the worst kind because you know that it’s coming, you know you’re powerless to stop it, and you know what to expect and what you can’t expect all at the same time! It’s like…it’s like drowning. (PRUE strokes DREA’s black tuffs of silky baby hair.) I want to save her more than I’ve ever wanted to anything or anyone before. (She shakes her head.) And yet, no matter what I do or how hard I try, there’s one thing I can’t save her from, and that is magic…and all the pain and the loss that comes with it. [Scene: Golden Gate Park. Prue and Andy’s swing. ADULT DREA HALLIWELL is seated on the swing, gently swaying back and the forth in the breeze. She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a small charm bracelet. She holds it up and dangling from the bracelet are six charms. The two in the middle are rhinestone encrusted letters, one is a “P” and one is an “A.”]
[Flashback: LITTLE DREA HALLIWELL, about eight years old, is seated on the swing. She looks lonely and depressed as she kicks her legs back and forth to make the swing move. She’s staring at odd black spots in the grass, then she holds up her hand and electricity sparks on her fingertips. She stares at the ground and aims her hand. The electrical bolt hits the grass and it sizzles, leaving another charred spot.]FUTURE PIPER's VOICE: Drea? Andrea, where are you? (LITTLE DREA tilts her head back in the direction of the voice.) FUTURE PIPER's VOICE: Drea! Can you hear me? (LITTLE DREA turns her attention back to the black spots on the grass. She ignites her fingers with electricity and burns another hole into the Earth.) FUTURE PIPER's VOICE: Drea! There you are! Didn’t you hear me calling you? (LITTLE DREA looks up and then down again, staring at her shoes as she swings her feet back and forth.) FUTURE PIPER: Do you mind if I sit down? (LITTLE DREA doesn’t say anything.) FUTURE PIPER: Can you please stop the swing? (LITTLE DREA stops pumping her legs and the swing starts to slow down. FUTURE PIPER grabs one of the chains and pulls it to a stop so she can sit down.) FUTURE PIPER: I know you’re sad right now, but that doesn’t mean you need to give me the cold shoulder. LITTLE DREA: (monotonously) Sorry. (FUTURE PIPER touches LITTLE DREA’s shoulder comfortingly.)FUTURE PIPER: I think I have something that might make you feel better. (She pulls out a small rectangular box from her pocket, wrapped in balloon printed wrapping paper and topped with a pink bow. She holds it out to LITTLE DREA.)LITTLE DREA: What’s that? FUTURE PIPER: Open it and find out. (She holds out the box to her niece. LITTLE DREA takes the box and neatly unwraps it where it has been taped at the ends. She shakes out a small white box and pulls the lid off, revealing a silver charm bracelet inside. FUTURE PIPER smiles.) FUTURE PIPER: That was your mom’s. (LITTLE DREA picks up the bracelet and holds it up. The sunlight catches the rhinestones on the “P” in the center and reflects a small rainbow of light onto LITTLE DREA’s cheek.)LITTLE DREA: It’s a bracelet? FUTURE PIPER: A charm bracelet. (She points to the five charms dangling from the bracelet.) There was this circus your grandma took your mom, Aunt Phoebe, and me to when we were little and we found this little tent with a little old woman who was selling these and so she decided to buy us each one. (She points to the “P” charm.) She got us each a “P” charm and then said we could pick out one other charm of whatever we wanted. Do you know which one your mom chose? (LITTLE DREA studies the charm bracelet and then points to a small charm shaped like a camera.)LITTLE DREA: That one? (FUTURE PIPER nods.)FUTURE PIPER: Yep! LITTLE DREA: Where did the others come from? (FUTURE PIPER points to a charm shaped like a musical note.)FUTURE PIPER: Grandpa Victor bought that one for your mom the day she had her first piano recital. (She points to a charm in the shape of the triquetra.) Great Grams had three of these made and gave one to each of us to put on our charm bracelets, (she touches a gold charm in the shape of a scroll that is engraved with the word “Diploma”) and this one, I gave to your mom the day she graduated from college, (she chuckles) you know, a gold diploma after graduating from Gold State University? (LITTLE DREA doesn’t laugh. FUTURE PIPER sighs.) Well, I know that your mom would want you to have it, and to truly make it yours, (she pulls something out of her pocket and clasps it to the “P” charm, revealing a rhinestone “A” charm) I got you an “A” for Andrea. (LITTLE DREA stares at the letter charms.) FUTURE PIPER: What do you think? LITTLE DREA: (muttering) Thanks. LITTLE MELINDA's VOICE: (screaming) Mom! Mom! (FUTURE PIPER’s head instantly whips around in the direction of the frantic voice. She leaps of the swing, displacing LITTLE DREA. LITTLE MELINDA HALLIWELL runs into view.)FUTURE PIPER: Melinda, what’s wrong? (She moves to her daughter and begins to check her for injuries.)LITTLE MELINDA: It’s Chris! He fell down and his knees are all bloody! (FUTURE PIPER grasps LITTLE MELINDA's hand.)FUTURE PIPER: I’ll be right back, Drea. (She tugs on her daughter’s hand.) Show me where Chris is, Melly. (FUTURE PIPER and LITTLE MELINDA rush off together, leaving LITTLE DREA. LITTLE DREA stuffs her mother’s charm bracelet into the pocket of her dress and wags her feet over the swing, attempting to start it swinging again. She lights her hand up with electricity and scorches the grass again. Suddenly, a blue sphere of fire flies into the ground, creating a black scorch mark twice as big as the ones she was making. She instinctively looks up, keeping her hand ignited with flames.)LITTLE DREA: (defensively) Who’s there? (FUTURE VOLAC, still looking about 8 years old, not appearing to have aged more than a few years since 2003, steps out of the brush. LITTLE DREA stares him down.) Who are you? (FUTURE VOLAC points to LITTLE DREA's electrified hand.)FUTURE VOLAC: You can do magic too. (He holds up his hand and a blue fireball appears above his palm.) Just like me. LITTLE DREA: So? FUTURE VOLAC: So it makes you special. (LITTLE DREA drops her head slightly.)LITTLE DREA: No it doesn’t. FUTURE VOLAC: Why not? (He takes a step forward and LITTLE DREA pops her head back up and twitches her electrified fingers.)LITTLE DREA: Because everyone can do magic. FUTURE VOLAC: Mortals can’t. LITTLE DREA: My cousins can. And my aunts. They all have special destinies… FUTURE VOLAC: What about your mom and dad? LITTLE DREA: They’re dead. FUTURE VOLAC: Mine too. (LITTLE DREA lowers her hand.)LITTLE DREA: Really? (She climbs off the swing.) What happened to them? FUTURE VOLAC: Magic killed them. What happened to yours? (He extinguishes the fireball in his hand.)LITTLE DREA: Magic. (She turns around and looks at the swing and then hits one of the chains with a bolt of electricity. The chain breaks and half of the swing falls to the ground with a thudding sound.) Just like that. (FUTURE VOLAC throws a turquoise fireball at the other chain and it shatters, causing the other side of the swing to fall. With the impact, the seat of the swing breaks. LITTLE DREA smiles.) LITTLE DREA: My aunts say you’re not supposed to use magic like that. FUTURE VOLAC: Do you want to? LITTLE DREA: Sometimes. FUTURE VOLAC: Do you wanna come play with me? LITTLE DREA: Why? FUTURE VOLAC: (grinning) Because we can use magic however we want. (He holds out his hand. LITTLE DREA looks down the path where her aunt and cousin disappeared and shrugs her shoulders.)LITTLE DREA: Okay. (She lays her hand in FUTURE VOLAC’s and the two become consumed in a hedge of blue flames and vanish from the park.)[Cut back to the present. ADULT DREA tosses the charm bracelet into the air and zaps it with an electrical bolt as it falls. The charm bracelet breaks in half and the two charred black strips of metal land on the grass. One half has the “P” charm and the other half has the “A” charm. ADULT DREA aims her hands at the two halves and electrocutes the metal again, until the charred metal begins to melt from the intense power. When she’s done, two large scorch marks are evident in the grass. She gets off the swing and turns around, lighting up her hand as she aims at the chains on the swing, then she hesitates.]ADULT DREA: No, (she closes her hand and the sparks disappear) that’s something we’ll do together. They’re not going to change our future. (She vanishes.)[Scene: Manor. Attic. A silver bowl is sitting on the table filled with rosemary, cypress, and yarrow root. PHOEBE is standing over the bowl. She drops the bandage from DREA’s foot into the pot and turns to PIPER, who is busily marking potion vials with a permanent marker.]PHOEBE: Potions? PIPER: Check. PHOEBE: Perfect. PIPER: Spell? PHOEBE: Check. And I reworded to give it an extra Power of Three oomph! PIPER: So you’re ready for Prue and Paige now? PHOEBE: (nodding confidently) I think so. (PIPER lifts her eyes to the ceiling.)PIPER: Chris! (She cups her hands around her mouth.) Christopher! BREAK

Act Two
[Scene: Golden Gate Park. Chris and Bianca’s spot. CHRIS and BIANCA are sitting on their marble bench, in the middle of an intense conversation.]BIANCA: …it’s just like before! It’s happening all over again even though all three of us are here and I can’t believe that we’re just powerless to stop it! (CHRIS grabs BIANCA’s hand and clasps it between his own.)CHRIS: We’re not powerless. We can prevent this- (He winces and BIANCA attentively touches the side of his head.)BIANCA: What’s wrong? CHRIS: Mom’s calling. BIANCA: They’re probably ready to perform the spell. CHRIS: I think so. BIANCA: Are you going to keep searching for him? Do you want me to go take Prue and Paige back? CHRIS: No, I’ll do it. Change of plans. I want you to go get Mel and see what you can do about locating him. BIANCA: Who’ll keep an eye on the babies? CHRIS: I’ll put Dad on it. (He pushes himself off the bench.)BIANCA: Be careful. (CHRIS presses his hand to the side of BIANCA’s face and his other hand to her abdomen.)CHRIS: That’s what you should be doing. (He kisses her quickly and orbs out. BIANCA touches her index finger to her lips and then places her hand to her stomach and shimmers off.)[Scene: Manor. Attic. PIPER and CHRIS are standing by the Book of Shadows while PRUE, PHOEBE, and PAIGE are gathered around the table with their hands tightly pressed into one another’s, forming a human triquetra.]PRUE, PHOEBE, & PAIGE: (chanting) “Powers of the witches’ rise, Course unseen across the skies, Come to we three, who call you near, Come to we three, and settle here!” (PRUE picks up the athame and slices the tip of her finger, spilling her blood into the bowl. She passes the athame to PHOEBE, who does the same, and then hands the ceremonial tool off to the youngest Charmed One, who completes the spell by slitting her own finger. PAIGE sets the athame to the side and retakes her sisters’ hands.)PRUE, PHOEBE, & PAIGE: (chanting) “Blood to blood, We summon thee, Blood to blood, Return to we three!” [Cut to Adult Drea. She’s walking through the cemetery when she stops suddenly and presses her hand to her heart, as if she’s having a heart attack. She inhales sharply and looks up to see white globes of light appearing out of nowhere. She scowls and swats at the lights, resisting the spell.]ADULT DREA: (hissing) No! (She curls her fists and attempts to step forward.) I refuse to submit to you! (She struggles to continue walking, though the globes of light are growing and beginning to spin around her.) No! (The lights begin to spiral and form a funnel around ADULT DREA. Hot yellow sparks begin to radiate from her as she attempts to shock the lights away, but her electricity moves through the lights without effect. She vanishes in accordance with the spell.)[Cut back to the Manor. Bubbles of light begin to formulate in the attic, within the extra large circle of crystals that have been placed on the floor. CHRIS waves impatiently to the Charmed Ones.]CHRIS: Get into position! (The sisters break hands; PRUE and PHOEBE and run towards the crystals while PAIGE grabs a white ribbon from the table and also joins her sisters at the crystals. The lights deposit ADULT DREA between the sisters and before she has a chance to react, PHOEBE jumps onto her back and constricts her in a chokehold while PRUE grabs her daughter’s hands and clasps them in her own, using her telekinesis to keep ADULT DREA’s hands pressed together. ADULT DREA growls and struggles against PHOEBE’s hold.)PHOEBE: Piper, the crystal! (PIPER slides across the wooden floor and slams the fifth white crystal into place, activating the crystal cage around her niece and her sisters.)PRUE: “I take your hands, in mine, And with this string…” (PAIGE attempts to secure the ribbon around ADULT DREA’s wrists, but a stray thread of electricity escapes from ADULT DREA’s arm and slams into PAIGE’s abdomen, blasting her backwards until the force field rises up and shocks her. She drops to the ground in severe pain.)PHOEBE: Paige! (ADULT DREA manages to take advantage of PHOEBE’s momentary distraction and throws her rear her leg back, slamming the heel of her shoe into PHOEBE’s kneecap. PHOEBE yelps and loosens her chokehold on ADULT DREA, who then flings her head back and collides the back of her head with the front of PHOEBE’s. PHOEBE’s eyes roll back in her head and she collapses backwards, hitting the shocking force field created by the crystals, just like PAIGE.)ADULT DREA: Guess it’s just you and me now, Mom! (ADULT DREA’s hands light up with electricity.)PRUE: (pleading) Drea, no! (The electricity funnels from ADULT DREA’s hands into PRUE’s hands, which are still clasped around hers. PRUE shakes and convulses in response to the electricity, losing her telekinetic hold on her daughter’s arms. PRUE starts to drop to the ground, but ADULT DREA grabs her by the hair and pulls her back up, holding her from behind in a chokehold. She turns to face PIPER and CHRIS.)ADULT DREA: Free me from the cage, now! (She tightens her grip around PRUE’s neck, ready and willing to break it.) Or I kill them all, (to PIPER) starting with your Precious Prudence. (PIPER and CHRIS look at each other and PIPER looks terrified. ADULT DREA narrows her eyes.) Christopher, do you really want to test me? You know what I’m capable of… (She twists PRUE’s limp head to the side just a little more.)PIPER: Chris! (CHRIS grits his teeth and waves his arm, pushing one of the crystals across the floor and deactivating the cage. ADULT DREA steps outside of the circle, dragging PRUE’s limp form with her. She nods to the chalk drawn triquetra on the wall.)ADULT DREA: Now activate the portal. (CHRIS looks at PIPER, and ADULT DREA scowls.) Don’t toy with me, Chris. I’m not stupid. You planned to bind my powers and send me back to the present, which means you obviously already have the portal ready to open. (She touches PRUE’s cheek and jolts her with electricity, causing her whole body to jump.) So open it already! (CHRIS wraps his fingers around the vial and throws it at the wall. The glass hits the tri-centered arc and the water begins to run down the wall.)ADULT DREA: (to PIPER) Say the spell. (PIPER frantically shakes her head.)PIPER: I don’t know it! ADULT DREA: Liar! CHRIS: She’s not lying! (He nods towards PAIGE.) She was going to say the spell…but now you’ve knocked her out. ADULT DREA: Then say it for her. CHRIS: You know I can’t say spells. ADULT DREA: But I can. I just need to hear it first. (She smiles sweetly.) So what is it, Cousin? (CHRIS grits his teeth.) Chris…I know you want to change the future, but I’m pretty sure you don’t want the Charmed Ones to die before they’re already going to…do you? Chris: “Hear these words, Hear the rhyme, Heed the hope within my mind, Send me back to where I’ll find…” (ADULT DREA nods approvingly.)ADULT DREA: Go on. CHRIS: (angrily) “What I wish in place and time.” ADULT DREA: (patronizingly) Good boy. PIPER: (shaking her head) Andrea, please…you don’t want to do this. (ADULT DREA shoots out her hand, attacking PiIPER with an electrical string. PIPER smacks into the wall.)ADULT DREA: “Hear these words, Hear the rhyme, Heed the hope within my mind, Send me back to where I’ll find-” (ADULT DREA gasps and drops PRUE. She arches backwards in immense pain.)BIANCA’s VOICE: “What I wish in place and time!” (The outline of the portal glows red and then encompasses the triquetra.)CHRIS: (to Bianca) It’s about time! (BIANCA has her fist plunged into ADULT DREA’s back, but is clearly struggling to keep ADULT DREA at bay.)BIANCA: (through gritted teeth) Sorry, but you know how premonitions are! (She sees PAIGE, PHOEBE, and PRUE on the ground.)CHRIS: The sisters are down. We’re going to have to send her back with her powers. (He nods towards the portal.)(BIANCA wraps her arm around ADULT DREA’s neck.)BIANCA: Hurry back, Chris. (BIANCA starts to shimmer them, but ADULT DREA manages to grab BIANCA's ankle and jerk it, tripping BIANCA and knocking her out of the shimmer. In the course of the attack, BIANCA’s arm is ripped out of ADULT DREA’s back. BIANCA lands roughly on the floor. ADULT DREA grabs for her, but BIANCA shimmers out of her grasp just in time. From the corner of her eye, ADULT DREA sees CHRIS rearing his arm back to use his power on her. She throws up her hand and a violet glow encases it. His telekinetic energy reflects from her hand and hits PAIGE, sending her sliding across the floor and into the time portal.)CHRIS: No! (ADULT DREA grins.)ADULT DREA: See what happens when you meddle where you shouldn’t? (She suddenly appears behind CHRIS and wraps her arms around him from behind and shocks him violently.) Vacation’s over! (BIANCA shimmers in as ADULT DREA transports herself and CHRIS in front of the portal. ADULT DREA lets go of CHRIS and shoves him backwards into the portal. As CHRIS falls into the portal, he reaches out his arm, telekinetically pulling his cousin into the portal with him. BIANCA leaps towards the portal, but it closes up before she can follow them inside.)BREAK

Act Three
[Scene: December 2027. Manor. Attic. PAIGE, still unconscious, and CHRIS are both trapped in their own black crystal cages. ADULT VOLAC and ADULT DREA are also there. ADULT DREA is standing at the pedestal with the future Book of Shadows, which is significantly thicker than the one in the present. ADULT VOLAC runs his hands up her arms sedusctively.]ADULT VOLAC: We should just kill him now. ADULT DREA: (gritting her teeth) We can’t. ADULT VOLAC: You’ve been trying to finish off that half breed for years! He’s right here, completely defenseless without his sister- ADULT DREA: And that’s exactly the point. Melinda’s still in the past and if I kill Chris, she still has a chance to change things. ADULT VOLAC: So kill him and we’ll use Paige to get back to the present. (ADULT DREA laughs sarcastically.)ADULT DREA: This is Paige from 2003. She hasn’t even begun to try and write time travel spells. ADULT VOLAC: You already have the spell. ADULT DREA: But I don’t have the potion. And that was something Paige never succeeded in creating. Somehow Chris, Melinda, and Bianca managed to finish it. (ADULT VOLAC waves his arm and a mechanical probe appears hovering in the air.)ADULT VOLAC: We’ll re-watch the hologram again. (He motions to the lens on the probe; it glows and a hologram bursts from it.)[Hologram: BIANCA is standing in the basement of her family’s mansion, in front of an almost completed triquetra drawn in white chalk. As she stretches her arm up to finish the last arc, she winces, pauses, and then draws in the last line to hook the arc. She steps back and tosses the clump of chalk to the floor. She turns and spots the bloodied blouse on the floor and kneels down beside it. A bowl containing water is also there, with various potion ingredients, pieces of scrap wood, and a metal rack spread out around it. BIANCA pulls the scrap wood into a pile and summons a miniature energy ball to her hand, which she lobs at the scrap wood. The electricity hits the wood and sparks it into a fire. She picks up the rack and sets it over the fire, then places the bowl of water atop the rack. She turns to the blouse and an athame with a Phoenix symbol on the handle appears in her hand. She begins to scrape at the blood stains with the athame, chipping off blood flakes that fall into the water. As she works, tinges of red begin to swirl in the water. As more and more flakes fall in, the water takes on a light red hue. Finally, she glances into the bowl and looks pleased. The athame and the blouse vanish in a sheen of red-orange light. She opens the jars and takes pinches of the potion ingredients and throws them into the bloody water. BIANCA swirls the water with her finger until the ingredients have dissolved, and then she proceeds to fill a vial with its contents. Afterwards, she rises to her feet and stands before the triquetra. She throws the vials at the center of the triquetra and it shatters, painting the wall a pale red.]BIANCA: “Hear these words, Hear the rhyme, Heed the hope within my mind, Send me back to where I’ll find, What I wish in place and time!” (The outline of the triquetra glows a deep scarlet, then a red portal consumes the outline. BIANCA instantly summons an energy ball to her hand and spins around, but nobody’s there. Her breathing quickens as she gingerly walks backwards. When nobody appears, she extinguishes the energy ball and runs through the portal. A moment later, a light scans the time portal as it begins to close up. A spiral of dark lights deposits ADULT DREA before the portal. She does hold up her hand and yellow sparks sizzle on her fingertips and then she stalks into the portal and it closes up behind her.)[Cut back to Adult Drea and Adult Volac. ADULT DREA waves her hand in a spinning motion.]ADULT DREA: Rewind. (The hologram begins to play backwards.) Stop! (The hologram stops, paused at the beginning when BIANCA is standing at the table, making the potion.) ADULT DREA: Play. (The hologram begins to play again. ADULT DREA folds her arms and steps forward, attempting to get a closer look at the potion ingredients BIANCA is using to create the time travel potion. ADULT VOLAC steps beside her and wraps his arm around her shoulders. ADULT DREA leans her head against his bare arm as she watches the hologram play out again.)[Scene: Present. Manor. Attic. MELINDA, BIANCA, PHOEBE, PIPER, PRUE, and LEO are there. The playpen is back in the attic, with BABY MELINDA and BABY CHRIS PRUE and PHOEBE are now healed and PRUE is holding onto DREA.]PIPER: (angrily) What do you mean we can’t get her back?! (MELINDA waves towards the chalk triquetra.)MELINDA: Chris used the last vial to open the portal. PRUE: So we’ll make a new one. MELINDA: It’s not that simple. PIPER: Why the hell not? BIANCA: Paige is the key to the portal. LEO: Paige? BIANCA: Or more precisely, her blood is. PHOEBE: Why? Why hers and not ours? MELINDA: Her power: chronokinesis. (PHOEBE slowly begins to nod.)PHOEBE: Because our blood is in our powers. BIANCA: Precisely. PIPER: So…Paige must be alive in your future then? (MELINDA and BIANCA look at each other.)PHOEBE: Or not. MELINDA: We had access to her blood, that’s all you need to know. PIPER: And now Drea does. MELINDA: But she doesn’t know how to use it. That’s why she didn’t come to the past before, she didn’t know the key to the portal. BIANCA: But in my dreams- PHOEBE: (curiously) Dreams? (Everyone looks at BIANCA. She shakes her head.)BIANCA: Never mind. PHOEBE: No, what dreams? Prophetic dreams? LEO: The Phoenix aren’t prophetic. BIANCA: It doesn’t matter- (MELINDA lays her hand on BIANCA’s shoulder.)MELINDA: Yes, it does. B. (emphasizing) What dreams? (BIANCA looks at the other people in the room, all of whom are anxiously waiting for her to explain.)BIANCA: Premonitions. MELINDA: What premonitions? How did you get them? BIANCA: From (she waves her hand across her stomach) this. (The glamour vanishes from her belly, revealing her pregnant stomach. PIPER’s jaw drops open.)PIPER: Is that- BIANCA: (nodding) Your granddaughter. (MELINDA’s eyes are as wide as saucers.)MELINDA: Are you for real? (She lifts her eyes from BIANCA’s stomach to her face.) Is this some kind of trick? BIANCA: Why would I trick you? MELINDA: Because I can’t believe that you seriously kept the fact that I have a niece from me! BIANCA: I’m sorry, I guess my long distance cell service didn’t reach all the way back to 2003. MELINDA: And yet ya didn’t bother to say anything when you finally did hop on the portal train to the past! (PHOEBE loudly claps her hands.)PHOEBE: As shockingly interesting as this conversation is, I think the fact that my sister is trapped in the future kind of trumps it, don’t you think? So can we focus on the point that originally brought this up? (She motions to BIANCA.) The visions? BIANCA: Before I realized I was pregnant, I kept having dreams. I didn’t realize at first that they were coming true, but once I did, I set out to stop them…it usually involved saving someone from Drea or Volac or one of their minions. It brought me face-to-face with Drea on more than few occasions, and since she thought she’d already killed me, she was…more than shocked, to say the least. LEO: And then you began having visions of…what? BIANCA: Drea. They weren’t exactly like the other visions, not the same feel to them, but I put faith into them after I realized what they were. I saw Drea opening a portal to the past and going back to find Chris and Mel. I had this increasing feeling of dread, and I knew I had to stop her, beat her here before she could surprise them- PHOEBE: You say these visions felt different? BIANCA: Yeah…why? PHOEBE: Because that worries me. You’re new at these visions, but I’m not. (She moves across the room to BIANCA.) Premonitions are premonitions, they all have a very distinct psychic echo that they leave you with. MELINDA: (to PHOEBE) You’re thinking they weren’t premonitions? PHOEBE: No. (She raises her hand and places it to the side of BIANCA’s head. PHOEBE’s body tenses up and so does BIANCA’s.)[Premonition: BIANCA is lying on her back in bed. She looks restless. She turns over and squeezes her pillow, though her eyes are still shut. The door to her bedroom creeks open and she stirs but doesn’t awaken. A hovering probe slips into the room and moves towards her bed. It shines a beam down onto her face and scans her. BIANCA rolls over and releases a little gasp.
A chalk triquetra has been drawn on the wall in the attic of the Manor. Standing in front of the drawing is a woman, though her face isn’t visible as she’s facing the triquetra. She’s tall, with long midnight black hair running down her back. All of a sudden, the chalk outline begins to glow and open up into a portal. The woman walks through and the portal closes up.
BIANCA awakens with a shuddering gasp. She sits up and sees the probe. An energy ball forms in her hand and she furiously lobs it at the probe, blasting the probe into a sparking demise. Her hand moves to her forehead and her brown eyes flick back and forth as if she’s trying to calculate something. She glances over at the shards remaining from the destroyed probe. Her eyes harden and she holds out her hand. A pink blouse, spattered with dry brown spots, appears in her hand. She runs her hand over the blood spatter in thought.]
[Cut back to the present. PHOEBE and BIANCA gasp at the same time. PHOEBE pulls her hand away from BIANCA. BIANCA presses her hand to her stomach protectively.]BIANCA: This is all my fault. PHOEBE: You couldn’t have known- BIANCA: It was a petty trick. I should have known! PHOEBE: How? You’ve only had premonitions for, what? Six? Seven months? (She shakes her head.) And with everything else you had on your mind, you can’t blame yourself. It’s not even your power! It’s mine and when I first had premonitions in my sleep, it even took me a while before I realized what the difference was. PIPER: But how could Drea have even known to trick you like that? MELINDA: Drea may be evil, but that doesn’t equate to stupid. She probably just put two and two together when B started consistently showing up and intervening with her kills at just the right moment. (BIANCA glances at her stomach.)BIANCA: And I thought I was doing such a good job of keeping this a secret. (PHOEBE touches BIANCA’s arm comfortingly.)PHOEBE: It’s okay. BIANCA: (shaking her head) No, it’s not. But, I’m willing to dwell on that later because right now we still have to get Paige and Chris back from Drea’s clutches. We need to find another way to go through time. BREAK

Act Four
[Scene: Manor. Attic. PIPER is busily scouring the Book of Shadows, while PRUE paces impatiently and BIANCA leans restlessly against the back of a chair. LEO, PHOEBE, and MELINDA are also there.]LEO: (to BIANCA) Are you sure you don’t want to take a seat? (He shifts uncomfortably.) You look like you’re not feeling so well. BIANCA: (snapping) I’m fine! (PIPER glances up from the Book.)LEO: (awkwardly) Oh…alright. (He shifts on the balls of his feet.) Do you…need anything? BIANCA: (bluntly) No. LEO: Oh. (He steals a glance at her stomach.) Well if you do- PIPER: (pointedly) Leo, she said she’s fine. (LEO nods, taking the hint.)PHOEBE: Wait! (She throws up her hands.) I can’t believe we didn’t think of this earlier! Why can’t The Elders just open us a time portal? They’ve done it before! When they sent us to the future to make sure we didn’t abuse our powers and then when they sent (to LEO) you and Paige to the past to show her that she didn’t cause her parents’ deaths. LEO: Well…I guess it’s possible. They only create time portals when it’s really important though. It’s very draining on their collective power. PRUE: Well I think this qualifies as an emergency, don’t you? MELINDA: No! (Everyone looks at MELINDA.)PIPER: Why not? (MELINDA bites her lip.)MELINDA: It’s uh… BIANCA: Complicated. PRUE: You’re going to need to come up with a better reason than that. MELINDA: They’ll ask too many questions. LEO: Like what? MELINDA: Like the ones we can’t answer without jeopardizing the very thing we came here to protect. PHOEBE: (curiously) Is that why you came up with your own spell to get back here to begin with? MELINDA: No. If The Elders had been around in the future, They probably would’ve sent us back if we’d asked. LEO: Why aren’t The Elders in the future? MELINDA: Because of the Massacre of- (She notices BIANCA’s dark scowl and bites her lip.)PIPER: (worriedly) The Massacre of what? MELINDA: A massacre in the future, that’s all I can say. All of The Elders were killed and a great many whitelighters… LEO: Did Drea and Volac do that too? MELINDA: No, actually, that’s not something they’re responsible for. But they are part of the reason the heavens never recovered. PIPER: So we’re back to square one then? No potion and no Elders. (She presses her elbows to the Book, lays her head in her hands, and begins to angrily mumble to herself.) Time travel was so much easier when we first became witches… [Scene: December 2027. Manor. Attic. PAIGE and CHRIS are alone, though still trapped in their black crystal cages. PAIGE is still passed out. CHRIS looks over at PAIGE and lightly pats the floor.]CHRIS: (whispering) Paige. Paige! (He curls his fist and thumps the floor.) Aunt Paige! (PAIGE’s eyes flutter.)PAIGE: (stirring) Mmm… CHRIS: (urgently) Come on, Paige, you have to wake up! (PAIGE groans and her eyes slowly peel open. She winces and struggles to move her arms, finally succeeding in moving one to her forehead. She rubs her forehead.)PAIGE: (mumbling) Ugh… CHRIS: (whispering) Paige! PAIGE: (murmuring) Chris? CHRIS: Over here! (PAIGE starts to sit up.) But not too fast! You’re in a crystal cage. (PAIGE notices the five black crystals surrounding her. She suddenly looks around, noticing the attic, but there are many things in it that she doesn’t recognize.)PAIGE: Whoa…what’s going on? CHRIS: You’re in the future. PAIGE: I’m… (Her eyes widen.) What? CHRIS: It was an accident, Drea deflected my power and it threw you into the portal. PAIGE: Where’s everyone else? CHRIS: Drea and Volac aren’t here right now. PAIGE: Drea and…Volac? CHRIS: They’re trying to figure out how to get back to the past; to your present, the same place we need to be. (PAIGE eyes the crystals surrounding CHRIS.)PAIGE: And how do you propose we do that? CHRIS: You have to try and remember the potion. I know the spell, but you and Bianca were the ones who came up with the potion. PAIGE: The time travel potion? CHRIS: (sarcastically) No, the Drea vanquishing potion! (He rolls his eyes.) Yes, the time travel potion! PAIGE: But I don’t have any idea where to start! (CHRIS shoves his finger to his lips.)CHRIS: Shh! Keep your voice down, they’ll hear you! PAIGE: (whispering) Look, I’m not the Paige from your future- CHRIS: But you grow into that Paige. PAIGE: Yeah, but that’s 24 years away! You can’t just expect me to gain all that experience and knowledge and become her in ten minutes! (CHRIS looks over his shoulder.)CHRIS: Well you’re going to have to if you expect us to get out of here alive. (PAIGE folds her arms stubbornly.)PAIGE: Okay, so even if I were to succeed, then how do you plan on getting us out of here so we can make the potion? (CHRIS glares and PAIGE nods her head knowingly.) I thought so. CHRIS: Look, Drea wants to get back as much as you do, so there has to be some sort of- (His eyes light up and he claps his hands.) I’ve got it! PAIGE: Got what? (CHRIS leans in.)CHRIS: (whispering) Okay, here’s the plan… [Scene: Present day. Manor. Attic. The sound of the ringing phone can be heard. PRUE looks up and scowls.]PHOEBE: I think that’s the fifth time that’s rung in the last hour. PRUE: I already tried answering it twice earlier and both times I just heard breathing on the phone and then a telltale click. PIPER: Prank caller. (She glances at PHOEBE.) Sounds like someone I used to know. (PHOEBE throws up her hands.)PHOEBE: Don’t point your procrastination guns at me! (She stomps towards the door.) I’m going to go take care of the phone. (She leaves.)[Cut to Phoebe’s bedroom. She walks in as the phone starts a new ring. Annoyed, she marches over to her phone and picks it up.]PHOEBE: Hello? MATT's VOICE: (anxiously) Piper? PHOEBE: No, Phoebe. (She squints her eyes.) Who is this? (The phone clicks. PHOEBE squints and looks down at the caller I.D. but it says “Unknown.” She grunts.) Well fine, be that way. (She lays the phone down beside its cradle, not bothering to hang it up.) That should take care of you! [Cut back to the attic. PHOEBE walks back in.]PHOEBE: That was weird. PIPER: What? PHOEBE: It sounded like someone thought I was you...and then hung up. PIPER: Did you see the number? PHOEBE: Unknown. (She shrugs.) I just unplugged it. MELINDA: (cautiously) Did it sound familiar? PHOEBE: I don’t know. (She walks over to the Book.) Maybe? (She starts to flip through the Book and then yelps as she’s turning a page.)MELINDA: What? (PHOEBE holds up her finger, which is bleeding.)PHOEBE: Paper cut. (She presses her finger to her mouth to suck off the blood and then her jaw drops open.)LEO: Epiphany? PHOEBE: Hell yes! (She scurries over to the table where the sisters performed their spell to summon DREA and she picks up the silver bowl.) In the famous words of Homer Simpson, “Doh!” (Everyone stares blankly at PHOEBE. PHOEBE glares and then BIANCA begins to nod.)BIANCA: It was a Blood-To-Blood Spell. PHOEBE: Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner, folks! (She nods eagerly.) So can the blood Paige donated to this pot be used to create the potion so we can get to the future? BIANCA: I don’t know, because it was already used for one spell…plus, it’s been mixed with ingredients that aren’t in the potion to open the portal. MELINDA: So we need a Plan D? BIANCA: I didn’t say that. We can still try it with the blood, but there’s no telling if it’ll actually work or not. PIPER: Well, it’s the only thing we have to go on right now, so I say we should give it a shot. (She snatches the bowl from PHOEBE.) Bianca, you created the original potion, right? BIANCA: Paige did, technically, but I made it work, yes. PIPER: Then you’re with me. (She waves her arm, beckoning BIANCA to follow her. PIPER and BIANCA leave the attic. MELINDA taps her foot in the awkward silence.)MELINDA: (grumbling) More waiting, just what I need. (PHOEBE grabs a dusty old box of cards from a shelf and blows across it, creating a gray cloud of dust. She sputters and coughs and then forces a smile in a veiled attempt to lighten the mood.)PHOEBE: While we’re waiting, anyone up for a game of Go Fish? BREAK

Act Five
[Scene: Present. Manor. Kitchen. BIANCA is at the stove, mixing the time travel potion. PIPER is standing on her tip toes, attempting to pull a couple of herb jars out of the cupboard. Once successful, she turns around and pauses to stare at BIANCA. A slight smile creeps onto her lips. She moves to the stove and sets the jars down on the tiled part of the island.]PIPER: You seem pretty good at this. BIANCA: It’s second nature. (She shrugs.) From the time we’re children, being the best of the best at everything is hardwired into a Phoenix. (She glances down at her belly.) It was something I always despised. PIPER: I’m sorry. BIANCA: You’re not the one who should be apologizing. (PIPER tilts her head, not sure what to say. BIANCA holds out her hand.)BIANCA: Comfrey leaf. (PIPER opens a jar and pulls out a dried comfrey leaf which she places in BIANCA’s palm. BIANCA crushes the leaf between her fingers and sprinkles it into the potion.)PIPER: So…have you thought about any names yet? (BIANCA’s expression softens ever so slightly.)BIANCA: Well I…I wanted to talk to Chris first- PIPERr: But I’m sure you’ve formulated a couple of ideas by now, right? (She grins.) I think every woman does. (She tilts her head in curiosity.) I promise I won’t say anything… (BIANCA exhales softly.)BIANCA: I was thinking…maybe, Alejandra. PIPER: (surprised) Alejandra? BIANCA: Yeah…after my father, Alejandro. (Her smile fades away.) He died before I ever really got to know him, but I think he was a good man…I think that’s why he died, in fact. (She closes her eyes mournfully.) If my daughter has a namesake, I want it to be someone who deserves it. PIPER: (nodding) Of course. (She smiles.) I think Alejandra is beautiful name. BIANCA: (smiling) Thank you… (She touches the top of her belly.) It means “defender.” PIPER: (smiling) Defender of the Innocent. [Scene: December 2027. Manor. Attic. Five of the ten black crystals have been spread out around the attic. Paige and Chris are now together in the new, larger black crystal cage. A yellow lined notepad and a pen are in PAIGE’s hands and ADULT VOLAC is standing outside the cage, watching PAIGE and CHRIS. PAIGE glances up with a dirty look on her face.]PAIGE: I can’t concentrate with you staring at me. (Turquoise flames flicker in ADULT VOLAC’s eyes.)ADULT VOLAC: Watch your tongue, witch! PAIGE: We don’t have to come up with this potion you know. ADULT VOLAC: The only thing keeping you alive right now is your willingness to create the time travel potion. PAIGE: Oh, I somehow doubt that. If you didn’t want us alive, you would have killed us instead of trapping us in these ridiculous cages. (CHRIS lays his hand on PAIGE’s shoulder.)CHRIS: (whispering) Paige, stop. He’s unpredictable…and he will kill you. (PAIGE pinches her lips together, wanting to say something else, but trying very hard to hold her tongue for CHRIS.)PAIGE: (whispering) Fine… CHRIS: (whispering) Let's just get this potion done. (He tugs her arm to pull her in the opposite direction so that they’re not facing ADULT VOLAC. CHRIS closes his eyes.) Okay, I don’t remember all of what Bianca put in it, but I do remember she used mullein and comfrey leaves. (PAIGE writes down “Ingredients” and draws a line under it, and then she begins to scribble down the herbs CHRIS just mentioned. She narrows her eyes and stares at the herbs, then bites her lower lip in thought.)PAIGE: (whispering) Okay, I need the spell. CHRIS: (whispering) “Hear these words, Hear the rhyme…” (PAIGE writes “Spell” onto the paper and draws a line under it, then begins to write down the lines CHRIS is saying to her.)PAIGE: Mhmm… CHRIS: (whispering) “Heed the hope within my mind, Send me back to where I’ll find, What I wish in place and time.” (PAIGE chews her lip as she concentrates on writing down the last three lines. When she’s done, she studies the spell intently.)PAIGE: Damn. CHRIS: What? PAIGE: (whispering) I was hoping that if I read the spell, it would give me an idea of what might belong in the potion, but truthfully, it’s pretty vague. CHRIS: Hence the problem. PAIGE: (whispering) I do know we need a catalyst though. CHRIS: (whispering) Catalyst? PAIGE: (whispering) Something besides the herbs that’ll make this potion work. Like…if somehow I could combine this spell with my powers or something to open the portal...I just don’t know how yet. [Scene: Present. Manor. Kitchen. BIANCA is stirring the potion with a wooden spoon and PIPER is still beside her, watching. BIANCA suddenly gasps. The wooden spoon slips between her fingers and she grabs her stomach one handedly. PIPER touches BIANCA’s arm instinctively.]PIPER: (worriedly) What’s wrong? (The surprised look on BIANCA’s face fades to a smile. She laughs slightly at PIPER’s reaction.)BIANCA: Bladder kick. (PIPER smirks.)PIPER: Ahh, I’ll never forget those. BIANCA: She’s done it a lot this past month. At this rate, she’ll be a black belt by the time she’s four. (She and PIPER laugh. BIANCA winces again.) Oh! Okay, I think I need to surrender to your restroom. PIPER: Oh, (she points) it’s- BIANCA: I know. (PIPER pauses, then nods.)PIPER: Oh. (BIANCA walks out of the kitchen. PIPER returns her attention to the potion, which is bubbling a little bit. She picks up the handle of the wooden spoon and begins to stir again. PIPER starts to hum to herself and a moment later, a scraping sound can be heard. She doesn’t notice the scraping at first, but then it becomes slightly louder, and a metallic clicking noise can also be heard. PIPER stops humming and looks around. The noise seems to stop, but she stops stirring anyway and turns, waiting for it to sound again. Sure enough, the noise picks back up and she notices that it’s coming from the laundry room. Her breath hitches and she looks around the kitchen and spots a pot in the drainer. She grabs it and holds it threateningly as she inches towards the laundry room. She quickly pushes open the laundry room door and steps in to find a dark form coming towards her. She yelps and swings the pan, smacking the figure in the head and knocking it into the washing machine. The figure grunts and falls, landing in a heap on the ground. PIPER raises her pan again and the figure rolls over, groaning.)MATT: (mumbling) P-Piper? (In shock, PIPER drops the pan and it lands on MATT’s head. MATT grunts.)PIPER: (gasping) Matt?! (MATT slaps away the pan and rubs the red spot on his head.)MATT: I know Prue and I left on bad terms, but do I really deserve this? (PIPER stares at him in complete and total shock.)PIPER: I-I- MATT: You look like you’ve seen a ghost. PIPER: I-I have…in the flesh, apparently. MATT: What? (PIPER bends down and runs her fingers over MATT’s wound, where she dropped the pan.) PIPER: (nodding) You’re real. MATT: Of course I’m real! (He sits up.) What’s gotten into you? PIPER: You’re supposed to be dead! (MATT looks shocked.)MATT: What? PIPER: That’s what Chris and Melinda said. MATT: (confusedly) Chris and Melinda? PIPER: My children! MATT: Well I know that but- PIPER: You didn’t know? MATT: Know what? PIPER: That they came back from the future too? (MATT’s lips shudder.)MATT: Well I- PIPER: But I don’t understand…they said you died. (MATT shifts uncomfortably.)MATT: What else did they say? PIPER: Not much. They’re pretty tight lipped when they want to be. MATT: Did they say what was after Andrea? PIPER: You know about that? MATT: Well, that’s why I’m here. (PIPER groans and presses her hands to her head.)PIPER: This is getting ridiculous! MATT: I’ve been trying to get a hold of you all day. (He pulls himself into a standing position.)PIPER: I’ve been here all day. MATT: Why didn’t you answer your cell? PIPER: I’ve been in the attic. (He holds out a hand and PIPER grabs it and he helps her up.)(MATT reaches into his pocket and pulls something out.)MATT: Look at this. (He hands PIPER the picture of PRUE, MITCH, and DREA. PIPER stares at it.)PIPER: Where did this come from? MATT: I- (PIPER looks up, her face contorted angrily.)PIPER: Have you been spying on my sister? MATT: It’s not- PIPER: I can’t believe this! That means you didn’t just get back, you’ve been back for a while now and- (MATT grabs PIPER’s wrist.)MATT: Turn it over! (PIPER blinks at his sudden anger. She complies with the request and sees the writing.)PIPER: “Time’s up”? What the hell is that supposed to mean? MATT: That’s what I’m wondering. I found it in my hotel room today. (He sighs.) The picture is mine, but the penmanship is not. (PIPER glares.)PIPER: Why don’t you start by telling me how you got the picture? MATT: You’re right, I did arrive recently, and I had every intention of approaching Prue, but then I realized she was with… (He nods in the direction of the picture.) The man in that picture. (He hangs his head.) After all I put her through, I didn’t want to just show up when she finally looked happy. (The glare slowly disappears from PIPER’s face, replacing itself with something akin to empathy.)PIPER: So what changed your mind? MATT: Nothing. I wasn’t going to confront her, I wasn’t even going to tell her I was back; I’ve just been watching her…and Andrea. I guess I was just waiting and so far nothing had happened that alerted me that Andrea was in trouble. But then this morning when I got out of the shower, my hotel room had been broken into and that message was on the photo. PIPER: Broken into? (She frowns.) What kind of demon breaks into a hotel room? MATT: That’s what I was wondering. PIPER: So what am I supposed to do with this? (She rotates the picture in her hand.)MATT: I was thinking that maybe you could show it to Phoebe. (He shrugs.) See if she could get a premonition? But uh…don’t tell her who it’s from. I don’t want Prue to know. I will have to leave again…and I don’t want to hurt for a third time. (He looks away shamefully.) You’re the only one who knows my secret and I was hoping that you could help me…we could help each other. PIPER: For Drea? (MATT nods.)MATT: For Drea. BREAK

Act Six
[Scene: Present. Manor. Kitchen. Laundry room. PIPER holds up her finger to MATT.]PIPER: Okay, uh, you wait right here then and I’ll be right back. (She steps out of the laundry room and begins to shut the door when PRUE walks in. PIPER jumps and slams the door.) Prue! (PRUE narrows her eyes.)PRUE: Is something wrong? PIPER: You startled me! (She throws her sister a fake smile.) That’s all. PRUE: Sorry. I just came down here to see how the potion’s going. (She frowns.) Where’s the Phoenix? PIPER: You mean Bianca? (PRUE glares.)PRUE: Yes. PIPER: Bathroom. You know how pregnancy is. (PRUE notices that the potion is boiling. She moves to the stove and begins to stir it.)PRUE: Geeze, Piper! You need to watch these things! PIPER: (annoyed) I know how to make a potion, Prue! (PRUE glances over at Piper, who hasn’t budged from the door to the laundry room.)PRUE: What were you doing coming out of there anyway? PIPER: (quickly) Nothing. (PRUE squints suspiciously as she turns off the heat and removes the potion from the stove.)PRUE: You’re lying. PIPER: I am not! PRUE: What’s in there that you don’t want me to see? PIPER: (stressing) Nothing! (PRUE squints her eyes and the laundry room door flies open.)PRUE: Let me see. PIPER: Prue! (She stays firmly in place.) This is ridiculous- (PIPER’s feet start to slide and her mouth drops open.) You can’t use your power on me like this! PRUE: I beg to differ. (PIPER grabs the door frame, but PRUE’s telekinesis is too strong.)PIPER: No! Prue! (PRUE marches into the laundry room.)PIPER: Damnit! MATT's VOICE: (shocked) Prue! (The floor rattles along with the dishes in the kitchen. The laundry room door slams shut and several loud crashes can be heard from the laundry room, ending in a giant thud. PIPER grits her teeth.)PIPER: Oh, (sarcastically) this is just fantastic! (She runs to the door and beats on it.)[Scene: December 2027. Manor. Attic. PAIGE and CHRIS are seated next to one another on the hardwood floor, surrounded by potion ingredients, a portable cooktop burner, and multiple glass vials. PAIGE is busily stirring a pot over the burner as CHRIS peers over her shoulder anxiously.]CHRIS: (impatiently) How much longer? PAIGE: (irritably) Could you stop that, please? You’re making me nervous. CHRIS: You should be nervous. Your entire future is at stake. PAIGE: No pressure there. (CHRIS snorts.)CHRIS: Volac will be back any minute to check your progress. PAIGE: And if it’s not done, he’ll just have to continue waiting like the rest of us. (She sighs.) I want to get out of here just as much as you do, Chris, but as I told you earlier- CHRIS: I know, I know. (He holds up his hand.) You’re not Future Paige. PAIGE: We have to be realistic about this. The potion may not even work. I mean…I kind of doubt Future Me got this right the first several times she tried either. (CHRIS places his hand on his aunt’s shoulder. He inclines his head and sighs.)CHRIS: I have faith in you, Aunt Paige. I know you can do this. (He smiles.) You can do anything. PAIGE: (rolling her eyes) You’re just saying that. CHRIS: I am not! (He shakes his head.) You’ve been there for me my entire life. (whispering) You were the last. (PAIGE smiles weakly.)PAIGE: You really think that highly of me? CHRIS: Of course. PAIGE: So…can I ask you something? CHRIS: What? PAIGE: (grinning) Does that make me your favorite aunt? (ADULT VOLAC walks in with his hands clasped behind his back like a general. He strides over to the edge of the crystal entrapment and peers inside with a dark scowl on his face.)ADULT VOLAC: Is it ready, witch? (CHRIS pulls his hand back from PAIGE’s shoulder and rises to his feet.)CHRIS: Almost. (A turquoise fireball appears in ADULT VOLAC’s hand.)ADULT VOLAC: Almost isn’t good enough. (PAIGE turns the knob on her cooktop and grabs the turkey baster.)PAIGE: It’s done! (PAIGE dips the baster into the pan and squeezes the rubber bulb, filling the plastic tube. Then she grabs a vial and deposits the contents of her potion into the vial. She corks the vial, stands, and inches in front of CHRIS, while simultaneously holding up the vial to give ADULT VOLAC a clear view of it. ADULT VOLAC narrows his eyes.)ADULT VOLAC: Bring it closer. (PAIGE slowly moves towards the edge of the crystals and holds out the vial so she’s still standing at an arm’s length away.)PAIGE: It’s only my first try though, it may not even- ADULT VOLAC: (commandingly) Step back, witch. (PAIGE steps back. ADULT VOLAC raises his arm towards one of the pitch black crystals.) I’d suggest you don’t try to escape. This world is filled with those who work for me. If you go (emphasizing) anywhere, I will find you. PAIGE: (glaring) And you’ll do what? Kill me? ADULT VOLAC: You’ll wish I’d killed you. (PAIGE glances back at CHRIS. ADULT VOLAC grins.) ADULT VOLAC: Don’t you agree, (smirking) Chris? (PAIGE swallows with visible difficulty. ADULT VOLAC makes a quick motion with his hand and the crystal slides out of place, deactivating the cage. With another lightning reflex, the vial in PAIGE’s hand is ripped from her fingers and flies into ADULT VOLAC’s hand. He kicks the crystal back into place and the dark cage reactivates. CHRIS mutters something under his breath as PAIGE slinks to his side. She rubs her fingers.)PAIGE: (whispering) He almost broke my hand! (CHRIS ignores her comment and reaches into his pocket while ADULT VOLAC walks over to the chalk triquetra on the wall and throws the potion at it.)CHRIS: (whispering) Ready? (PAIGE digs her hand into her pocket and pulls out a small vial filled with a different colored liquid than what was in PAIGE’s potion.)PAIGE: (whispering) As I’ll ever be… [Scene: Present. Manor. Kitchen. PIPER is still beating on the door and yet it won’t budge, but she can still hear loud noises coming from inside.]PIPER: Prue! Prue, let me in! (BIANCA scuttles in with a look of alarm on her face and an energy ball hovering above one hand and a Phoenix athame in the other hand.)BIANCA: What in hell’s fire is going on in here? (PIPER grits her teeth and stops banging on the laundry room door. She forces a smile as she slowly turns her head around to face BIANCA. Another loud crash is heard from inside the laundry room, followed by the sounds of PRUE yelling.)PIPER: (sheepishly) Well- (BIANCA’s eyes grow as she realizes what’s going on.)BIANCA: No! (BIANCA lodges the energy ball at the laundry room door and it hits the door handle. The door handle blackens and breaks, splintering the wood in the door frame, and the door swings open with a puff of smoke. The yelling inside becomes louder without the door closed. BIANCA charges past PIPER and into the laundry room. PIPER begins to nervously flex her fingers as she walks in behind BIANCA.)PRUE: (screaming) …and I (emphasizing) never want to see you in this city again! (The laundry room looks like a tornado has hit it. There are dirty clothes everywhere, the washer has a giant dent in the front, the shelves have fallen down, a bottle of liquid detergent is on its side, leaking blue liquid out of a puncture in the plastic, and the back door is wide open allowing a cold breeze to rush in. MATT is lying on his back, just outside the back door. BIANCA curses under her breath as the back door slams shut in MATT’s face. PRUE turns on her heel and begins to leave when PIPER grabs her shoulder.)PIPER: Prue, wait! (In a motion faster than lightning, PRUE latches onto PIPER’s wrist and squeezes. Her cold blue eyes lift to PIPER’s wary brown ones.)PRUE: (furiously) I cannot believe you. How dare you try to hide the fact that he was here from me. PIPER: You don’t understand- PRUE: Damn right I don’t! (PRUE shoves her sister’s hand off her shoulder and stalks out of the laundry room. PIPER grimaces as she watches PRUE pound through the kitchen, desperately wanting to chase after her and explain, but knowing she shouldn’t.)BIANCA: Go talk to your sister, I’ll take care of him. (She reaches for the back door, but PIPER grabs BIANCA’s hand.)PIPER: No. I’ll take care of Matt, you- BIANCA: You can’t! (PIPER blinks, confused.)PIPER: If I go up there right now, it’ll only make things worse. You just go finish the potion. You’re the only one who knows what goes in it, remember? I’ll deal with Matt. BIANCA: (desperately) He can’t get near Prue! PIPER: (rolling her eyes) Obviously. (BIANCA grips PIPER’s wrists.)BIANCA: Piper- (PIPER jerks away.)PIPER: I know you’re trying to help, but I know what I’m doing. (BIANCA grits her teeth, unable to find a safe way to get her point across.)BIANCA: (muttering) You might, but he doesn’t. PIPER: (confused) What? (BIANCA shakes her head.)BIANCA: Fine! Bring him in. (She points towards the kitchen.) But under no circumstances is he to speak or leave the room. (She tilts her head back towards the ceiling.) I doubt Prue will be down here any time soon, so while we’re finishing the potion, we’ll figure out what to do with him. (PIPER sighs.)PIPER: Fine. (She reaches for the door and opens it to find MATT trying to sit up. He has a large cut on his forehead, which is bleeding. PIPER winces, then grabs a hand towel that’s sitting on top of the dryer and kneels down next to MATT. She presses the towel to his forehead and grabs his forearm. He winces and groans loudly.) PIPER: Looks like Prue ran you over real good with her karma, huh? MATT: (groaning) Haha. (He notices BIANCA glowering at him.) Who’s that? (PIPER makes a quick glance at Bianca.)PIPER: You mean you don’t know? (MATT shakes his head and groans at the same time. PIPER helps MATT put his arm around her shoulders and helps him stand. She sighs heavily.) PIPER: Let’s just get you inside first, alright? (She helps him to hobble past BIANCA. A sneer forms on her lips and a small energy ball forms between her fingers. She watches as PIPER seats MATT on a chair and then extinguishes the energy ball.)BIANCA: You’re not ruining this again… To Be Continued...
