Reactions and Comments: Season Six

[Fourever Charmed]

I don't think I ever got a brother-sister vibe from Paiglenn or Pandy (Andy-Piper and Andy-Phoebe, definitely - I think he even admitted in one episode that they're like sisters to him), so I never really thought about either of those two that way.

That said, if I don't find myself liking the ships with the core/biggest fanbases (i.e. Prue/Andy, Piper/Leo, Phoebe/Cole; Ricky/Adrian, Ben/Amy [TSLOTAT]) then I find myself on the opposite end of the spectrum, adoring the ships with relatively small fanbases (i.e. Paige/Glenn, Paige/Drake, Patty/Sam; Ben/Adrian, Grace/Jason [TSLOTAT]).

Though I do believe that if Jesse Woodrow had been able to accept a full time position on Charmed as Paige's first long lasting love interest, that there would be a much bigger P/G fanbase than there turned out to be. I'll always think it was a terrible idea to write him out the way they did. Even if he couldn't commit, they didn't have to marry him off to get rid of the character. They could've brought him back in a later season, when the actor had a free schedule.

I'm just kidding. LOL... besides, Kathryn/Sebastian from Cruel Intentions is pretty wickedly awesome. Though, those two actors as a couple, I also like in the movie "I Know What You Did Last Summer" which I didn't register until just now that they two of them co-starred in both of those movies...

Ahem. I agree that there's a difference between a Brother-Sister relationship and a BFF relationship. I for one am BFF's with my husband... granted we didn't grow up together, but we were friends before we began dating and eventually got married. I enjoy seeing that same sort of thing in a television show, in books, etc.

I think that Paige/Glenn are more BFF's than Brother-Sister types... and the same with Prue and Andy. So, I like their relationships... though, I'm curious... will we see Henry again?

That's the fun of virtual series--you don't have to worry about contracts or real life; you can have actors come in whenever you want them to or leave whenever you want them to.

Obivously Jesse Woodrow couldn't stay on the show. Had he, who knows, maybe the close friendship that he and Paige had during the first episode where we saw them might have bloomed between them. But even Paige herself called him her best friend. By the time he came back, she *wanted* to be in love, like her sisters were that when she got that letter from Glenn, she assumed things that never were there. That's why she was so shocked to find out that Glenn was in love with someone else (who, yes, I do believe he married and took back to Austraila with him, because although he loved Paige, he was in love with Jessie, the perfect girl for him.) and why she ended up doing all of the horrible things that she did--things she wouldn't do to someone who she truly loved, because she'd want him to be happy.

BUT that's canon. As I said, thank God that you guys don't have to do that--you can have whoever you want play whatever role you want for as long or as short as you want without worrying about Real Life. And the best part of all, is because it's *your* virtual series you can have whoever you want end up together.

You know, I've never been that big of a Paige and Glen fan. I guess I just never saw the chemistry and I never really got the appeal of Glen. If anything, I found him extremely annoying in some episodes. But I guess that's just me. I've always been very nitpicky when it comes to characters on TV shows, I usually always have those few characters that I really love and that are really my favorites (in Charmed's case, Prue and Piper) and the rest I'm sort of indifferent to or annoyed by.

But back to the couple talk, I really like what you guys are doing with Paige and Drake and I definitely see a spark there (saw one on the real show, too)! So I'd rather see them than have a revisit of either PaiGlen or Penry.

I'm glad you're enjoying them. I think they would've been a much better couple than the Phake Phoebe/Cole. I always found much more chemistry with those two than I ever saw with Phoebe and Drake on the show. And then I think back to this scene:

Scene: Magic School. Paige walks into the library. Drake is there wearing suit.]

Paige: Oh, you look great in all your teacher-ness.

Drake: Oh, that little old thing?

Paige: Okay, well, I've brought you your class schedule and your student roster. And I have assigned you a TA. Miss Donovan.

Drake: She's not sore for being passed over?

Paige: She got freaked out by what happened. She did want to run back to the library, but I've talked her into helping you out in the class.

Drake: I guess it's all for the best. Someone's gotta take over.

Paige: What, are you planning on being absent a lot?

Drake: In case it doesn't work out. We agreed it would be temporary at first. You may change your mind in a couple of weeks. I may need to move on.

Paige: I will not change my mind, trust me. Anybody who can get though the thick skulls of my lovely sisters and I can definitely get though to those kids.

Drake: Even though I'm a little crazy?

Paige: Because you are a lot crazy. No, look, Magic School's protected. It's okay. Give it your best shot.

(Phoebe walks in.)

They were so adorable. The flirting in that scene makes me grin every time. The expressions on their faces were priceless. ;D It's too bad Phoebe had to walk in and ruin it.

My Review for 6x21 "Magick The Gathering"

I just wanna say.... THANK YOU FOR ALL THE WICCAN REFERENCES! Especially when Melinda Warren recited the Wiccan Rede. And than as the episode went on Melinda Halliwell made references to the gods, Isis, etc etc and that made me happy!

Okay so, The Tribunal. Very nice add, I liked them believe it or not in season Six and I see you've made a few changes. The Angels. I liked this addition because even though the whole Good and Evil thing in season six happened(Two elders and a demon as I recall?) Having neutral beings makes a lot of sense. But that doesn't mean I have a small little problem with them... They're practically treating the Warren/Halliwell family like crap! I know it's like a Court thing, but I just thought they were rudely attacking the Family.

*Sighs* The return of the most stupidest being ever...Natalie Fields.
I severely hated her in the S3 episode, and frankly I hate her now.
Don't get me wrong, she's a better choice than Barbie(Barbus) but I still hate her. And you guys did a great job in her keeping her personality and all... which I hate about her, but good job!

Now for my favorite part...COLE!!!! And Phoebe's reaction to her seeing Cole back(even though it was just strictly for the Trial) We all got to see that she still loves Cole very much!

Okay so for the little meeting Penny, Melinda and Patty had about Melinda's plan. LOVED PENNY! I loved her attitude about the Elders decision and the little reference on getting another heart attack. I also love the fact that she's always been snappish and sarcastic when things don't go her way or if something outrages her.

"NATALIE: The mind that rocks the cradle… (sarcastically) Certainly no personal gain there.

MELINDA WARREN: (angrily) “Harm ye none, do what ye will!”"

Loved this part! I was also excited that this was the first reference on Wicca and I had a feeling that there would be more(we'll get to that later). Now when Penny goes to the stand...looooved it!! Especially when she was being stubborn for Fakealie. Okay so the little scenes between Penny and Derik...LOVED IT! That just shows
how far she's willing to protect her granddaughters, yes she did use her powers on the "animal" as Penny had called him, and yes she did violate the rules, BUT who cares? Derik harmed Prue, and Penny did what any other grandmother would do...kinda. To be honest, he did deserve it. ALSO... I recall I think it was Phoebe or Piper saying something how Prues old boyfriend dissapeared because they said Penny was probably behind it... out of curiosity was this the event in which they were talking about in the Original Series, and did they make a reference about it in C:RR? Also..I so wanted to smack Fakealie... just saying. Anyway moving on!!

Melinda, Penny and Andy's little meeting. I love love love love Samhain! My favorite holiday...ANYWAY! Showing the scene with Penny and the Necromancer...LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! And the girls reactions AMAZING!! Reminds me of Original Season Five.
On a little side note, I loved how you guys described the after life.
It makes sense really, I've been doing my studies of the After Life(called the Summerland for Wiccans) and that pretty much summed it up. I give you kudo's for the afterlife part!

Alrighty, Penny and Andy's scene when she gave Andy his new identity. It makes PERFECT SENSE how Andy got the power to conjure now! I have a question on that matter: Did you guys plan that from the very start, or did it come to you when you were planning this episode? Moving on. I loved how Penny was so proud of herself with the spell that gave Andy the conjuring powers. I love that side of Penny and find it very amusing to watch!

I loved how Andy declined to become a white lighter. It shows that he loved Prue very much, and even in the afterlife he could never let her go. And when he said he'd wait for her, it kinda got my eyes to water a bit. LOVED IT!! And once again I severely wanted to just zap myself in that episode and smack Fakealie out of her wits!
GRRR I HATE HER SOO much!! AHH!! Moving on.

*Sighs* Poor Piper... I felt really bad for her with the hologram thing and freezing Matt(Andy) and all. And Fakealie saying "Mrs. Wyatt" tightly? Is she jealous or something? Stupid ex white lighter can't handle the fact that Leo and Piper are together and married with children? Stupid idiotic ex white lighter. And Piper trusting Melinda Warren was natural. Melinda impacted the sisters lives a lot and as Phoebe said in Season Three's "Just Harried" Melinda was their favorite ancestor. What reason did Piper, at the time she
summoned Melinda(Or did Melinda come to them willingly?) gave her the reason NOT to trust her? Hm? *Sighs again* The accidental hologram...I really felt bad for Piper in this episode. I know there's a phrase "The truth always comes out", but this is a very bad way(for Piper) to have the truth come out.

Now for Phoebe and Cole's little scene... It was sad when Cole turned away from the kiss. But I understand why he turned away from the kiss, so it's no hard feelings. I'll always be a C:RR Cole/C:RR Phoebe fan though!

I have to say I love Paige and Drake. They're a verrrrrrrrry adorable
couple and I'd love to see them go on in the future(that is, if this isn't the series finale of C:RR). Really, they're better than Paiglenn to be perfectly honest.

You guys just really want me to smack the crap out of Fakealie don't ya? Seriously, she's getting on my last nerve with her freaking attitude and there's nothing more I'd like to do than to smack her out of the wits!! Okay so I loved how Prue was defending her daughter(what mother wouldn't?) But than it all had to go downhill from there when the hologram showed Drea killing an innocent with that stupid Immortal Source Volstupid. *Sighs*
Okay let's step back a bit with the part of Natalie grabbing Chris' hand... now if I was Chris I would've told that stupid ex idiot to back the heck off. And I really did expect Chris to say something about it but really, Fakealie should not have grabbed Chris' hand like that...which just wanted me to smack her silly more.

Now let's get on with the Melinda Halliwell scenes shall we?

Okay so, I found it amusing when she woke up. The popcorn on the floor, the DVD menu on the TV, it made me chuck a little. ;D
Hm...Melinda's parental type instincts... ha ha. I laughed when Melinda made a comment on having kids in the her future. And and and... the references of the gods Isis and Hades. Loooved it!
Although I do know Isis is a Wiccan Goddess, I also know that Hades is the God of the Underworld, although I'm sure he isn't a Wiccan God(NOT that it matters, still loved it the same!) And and and!!! Melinda's heroic actions! Which brings me to a question: Does Melinda know Kaylie in the future? Like are they good/best friends? Or just acquaintances? Anyways, Melinda saves the day!!

Melinda is NOT having a good day is she? I feel sorry for her.. poor girl. And who pops in and saves Melinda's stressful day? Drake! I love Drake's attitude and have noticed you guys have not changed Drake's personality which I like! His personality was very funny, and
I simply loved it! And Drake giving Melinda Cola with a shot of rum...FUNNY!! I also thought it was funny how Mel snatched the bottle from Drake's hand. I really can't blame her with the stressful
day she's been having. Poor girl. [/spoilers]

lol You're welcome. I, too, am a huge fan of the Wiccan references. I'm not Wiccan myself (I'm Matriarchal which is why you'll often catch me saying "Oh my Goddess!" or "Oh my Isis!" or "Sweet Mother of Horus!" or something of that nature), but Wicca is one of the few religions I really adore and have a lot of respect for. Charmed and a couple of Charmed loving practicing Wiccan friends of mine got me interested in it back in the day and I've had a great affinity for it ever since.

lol! But that was the point: she tauts rules left and right, so it made sense that she would be a perfect pick for prosecutor. And Cole, given his lawyer ADA background, made the perfect pick as defense. Plus, the juxtaposition of Cole (half demon on the side everyone wants to see win) v.s. Natalie (the ex-whitelighter on the side everyone wants to see lose). I don't think any two other characters would've worked better in those roles with the way we've set up C:RR.

Yes, that was the same reference. It was originally stated in season two's season finale, "Be Careful What You Witch For." Then in 5x10's "Road To Premonition," we brought that back as one of the personal gain memories that the sisters went to view, courtesy of Lillith, and now here it is again coming back to bite Penny in the ass when she thought she'd gotten away with it under the eclipse.

We planned for him to have conjuring since the start, we just didn't know initially how we wanted him to come into the power, but then while rewatching "Trial By Magic" (aw, don't I love those Paiglenn episodes!) I got the inspiration for the spell that would not only conjure him a new identity, but also give him the ability to conjure (killing two birds with one stone), which is why I wrote a little nod to that episode by having Penny state that she got inspiration for her Conjuring a New Identity Spell from a spell that her mother wrote, which stretched the imagination by actually giving someone the ability to stretch.

It was meant to imply that she does know Kaylie in the future, but as to what kind of relationship they have? That's an area of gray, my friend.

No, you really can't, can you? lol I love Melinda. She's so quirky and fun to write. And I get equal happiness out of seeing that people appear to enjoy reading her antics just as much as I enjoy writing them.

No, you guys are right, there is an Act Six. The last act never ends with a BREAK. It is up now!

And I'm sorry. Blame that all on me. It's totally my fault, I screwed things up and put us behind this week.

I got into a little trouble with Murphy's Law if you know what I mean. It all started with this Anthropology paper that I thought was due on the 17th and instead it was due on the 7th (I even wrote it down as the 17th in my notes), so my professor gave me an extension which would have been fine if I hadn't gotten caught in town during the snowstorm (while heading to the library to check out books so I could write said paper) with my car pulling fishtails and then have to push my Anthro. paper into my C:RR time because Mom had to pick me up (her car has snow tires, mine doesn't, hence the fishtailing in the slush) but wouldn't take me home, because she promised my grandmother that she would take her out for her birthday. And then once I finally had the stupid paper done (I stayed up literally all night with a Venti Starbucks Peppermint White Mocah) I went to turn it in (online turn in) and the Class ID/Password (that the teacher provided us) was wrong and then ended up wasting two hours of my life getting no where with that. (I was at my rope's end. Finals are this week and I was really afraid I wasn't going to get the thing turned in and all my hard work would have been for not.)

In the end I had to end up going in two and a half hours late for work this morning too, because I was waiting to hear back about the Password/ID from the teacher. It was due at noon and I have to go into work at 10:00. Finally I ended up locating a phone number on the syllabus, getting ahold of her, and then getting a snotty response about how she gave us the correct Class ID in class. (And believe me, I looked through ALL my notes because that crossed my mind that maybe she had changed it and I'd forgotten or something.) But I didn't have the correct ID number, so I can only guess that she must have handed it out on one of the two or three days I was absent from the class. But I guess the good news is that it's over and done with and now all I have to worry about is doing well on the Anthro. final this Wednesday and then I swear, I am never touching another Anthropology class again.
